but they will picket the other ones. But, Fox is reporting a group called Angel Wings is going to be there at the funerals in groups of about 30 holding up fabric "Angel Wings" between the protestors and the funeral attendees. Good for them!! Wish I was close enough to join them.

I just heard that story, too. I'm wondering what their point could be in protesting these funerals? I thought they stuck to the military since their favorite slogan is something about God hating gays (not that I get that one either).

they can't simply be rounded up by the police during funerals they plan to picket. Better yet, when their "church" (i.e., terrorist group) bus is headed somewhere out of Kansas, the neighboring states should turn them back at the border.

This is a glaring example of how U.S. laws protect only the criminals, not the innocent victims.

As much as I disagree with them and what they do, it is freedom of speech. If we stop them from their rights to speak their mind, no matter how ignorant they are, where will it stop. What group will we want to silence next? That would open a big can of worms.

The only feasible thing I could see would be to get a sort of restraining order against them. You aren't allowed with so many feet of the funeral, graveyard, etc. If you cross the line, we will arrest you. At least that would keep them at a distance.

berserk and killing/wounding a bunch of people in a Safeway parking lot has anything to do with god, or homosexuality, or government, or anything else for that matter. The guy was a lunatic. Those Westboro folks, if they MUST picket something, should maybe consider picketing the jail where said lunatic is parked, and getting a bed, free medical/psychiatric care, and 3 squares a day.

Since it's freedom of speech for them to protest, let's take the union protestors, since they like to protest so much, and send them to WBC and let them protest for as many days and weeks they did in WI. So we finally were able to catch our 11 YOS sleepwalking this weekend.
