For the last couple weeks, whenever I go to bed, if I am on my back or side, I awaken several times with pain in my right calf and knee, if I turn on my stomach it goes away. Have been told by orthopod that I have bone-on-bone in my right knee. He suggested surgery and gave me Tramadol for the pain. Surgery is not an option financially at this time. I have been losing weight in order to take some of the pressure off. I cannot take the Tramadol and work because it makes me sleepy. Cannot take NSAIDs because of the GI side effects. I was diagnosed with arthritis in my right knee in January and I cannot believe how fast it is progressing. I now have it in both knees. Transcribing makes it really ache because of the foot pedal. Does anyone else have pain in the front of their ankle from using the foot pedal?
