If you were having a Grill-Out, what would you serve? The main course will be Hamburgers, Brat's, and Mett's with all the fixins.

I am drawing a blank...... Right now Ive got Potato Salad, Pasta Salad and Deviled Egg's. Dessert will be Cake and Icecream.

Having a large party this weekend for son's First Communion, and we're doing a Grill out. 42 People have RSVP.

If you've got more than one grill or extra room, you could do corn on the cob on the grill or just do that in a pot on the stove. Grilled veggies on a kabob are good, too.

See if you can find a big watermelon or two and make a big fruit boat out of it.

Your cookout sounds like fun! One thing I tend to make for cookouts is oriental coleslaw. It is yummy! If you are interested, let me know and I will send you the recipe. Have a great time!

Here is the oriental coleslaw recipe and a couple of others I thought I would share. Any of these would be great for a grill-out.

ORIENTAL COLESLAW (This is one of my favorites)
1 pkg coleslaw
2 pkgs chicken ramon noodles
4 ounces sunflower seeds
4 ounces slivered almonds
1/2 cup of sugar
1/3 cup oil
1/3 cup vinegar
Chicken ramon noodle seasoning

Mix sugar, oil, vinegar and ramon seasoning. Break up uncooked ramon noodles. Pour dressing over coleslaw and ramon noodles and chill.

CHICKEN SALAD (this one is great)
3 tablespoons lemon juice
5 cups cooked chicken cut up in pieces
1 cup celery
1/3 cup green pepper
1/3 cup green onion
2/3 cup mayo
1 cup red grapes (use more than the recipe calls for)
1/4 cup half-and-half
1 teaspoon salt
2 tablespoons cider vinegar

Mix chicken, celery, green onion and grapes. For the dressing, mix mayo, lemon juice, salt, half-and-half, vinegar and pour over chicken mixture and chill.

CHEESY POTATOES (I make these all of the time and my family loves it)

1 pound frozen hash browns (I use the shredded but you can use the country style as well)
16 ounces shredded cheddar cheese
8 ounces sour cream
1/2 stick butter
1 can cream of mushroom soup (or you can use cream of chicken soup)

Mix sour cream, melted butter, soup and cheddar cheese. Add potatoes. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour.

I would also have diff kinds of chips and dip, cheese dip with Ro-Tel, always a hit at my place, cupcakes would be good too. Plenty of lemonade and drinks, Capri Sun for kids. We put those in the cooler.

Hi all, What do you think about people who pray for, what I term, silly things? Like what color drapes to buy, what shoes to wear that day, etc. I find it rather silly because people have to take controls over their own lives. I live in a semidetached neighborhood and the neighbors on one side constantly burn a fire pit with wood pallets and whatever in it all the time at least 4 to 5 times a week. Well our cars next door are covered with ashes from their fire pit and we have new cars. We have talked to them about this but it does not good. Any sugestions. Need carpet that will wear well and stand up to cats (with claws), hairballs, etc. We looked at nylon carpet, but that is too pricey. They suggested polyesther but the reviews on Google are not encouraging.
