Lobster tails - AnaPhylaxis

[ In Reply To ..]
Our oven literally blew up on Valentine's Day, right as my husband was heating up the broiler (shorted out). I had just gotten off of work so it was about midnight. Everything was prepped and ready to go. We googled ways to cook lobster tails, found a bunch of recipes for grilling them, and tried it. Now it's our favorite way to prepare them. Best stuff ever!

Corn on the cob and.... - sliced pineapple!! Yummy!

First had the pineapple grilled in Hawaii, where it was, of course, fabulous. Have repeated it many times now here at home, and it's delicious....great with grilled pork chops, but really with just about any grilled meat.

Teens Who Only Like Turkey, No Veggies/smNov 19, 2012
I have been preparing for weeks for Thanksgiving. Have 4 teenaged grandkids who will only try the turkey. They usually only like mac and cheese or pizza. Should I include a homemade version of mac and cheese with my meal? There is no way I will go with the packaged stuff they usually eat. It's either that or to see them with a little turkey only on their plates. Hopefully they will change over the years. My menu includes turkey, stuffing and all the veggies one could imagine for the grownup ...

Senate To Grill Administration On ISIS StrategyNov 11, 2014
President Obama, in that post-shellacking Nov. 5 press conference, said he was “going to begin engaging Congress over a new authorization to use military force (AUMF) against ISIL,” also known as Islamic State, and stop relying on law passed after 9/11 to justify the latest combat. It’s something he said he’d do nearly 18 months ago, but neither Obama nor Congress made a significant move. No hearings were held. But after the news conference — seven weeks after ...

Cooked Cabbage RecipeJun 06, 2011
I wanted to share a recipe that a guest brought to a cookout this weekend for cooked cabbage. He cut a head of cabbage into 8 wedges and wrapped each wedge with a slice of bacon and wrapped each wedge individually in foil. He then cooked them on the grill for about 30 minutes. It turned out just like my grandma from Arkansas made in a cast iron skillet. ...

Eden FoodsApr 23, 2013
The slogan for Eden Foods, which describes itself as the “oldest natural and organic food company in North America,” is “creation and maintenance of purity in food.” Its CEO and founder, Michael Potter, has been prominent in debates over labeling of organic food and GMOs. But the company has been quietly seeking in court another form of purity — to Catholic doctrine about sex being solely for procreation. That goes not just for Potter, but for all 128 of his employe ...

Healthy Foods That Don't Cost MuchJun 22, 2010
Got this from an article online To prove my point, I've put together this list of 50 healthy foods that I've purchased at least once in the last six months for under $1 a pound. So rev-up your shopping cart. Apples - One a day keeps the cheapskate away. Asparagus - HUGE store special at 99 cents a pound during Easter week. I bought 10 pounds, blanched it, and then froze it. Bananas - Potassium for pennies. Barley - A tasty alternative to rice and potatoes. Beans - Canned or ...

Share Finger FoodsNov 14, 2015
Holidays are coming. Here are some of my favorite, easy-to-make finger foods. No utensils needed by the "eatee," LOL. Probably can even get away with just a cocktail napkin instead of a plate Roll-ups: Get plain or flavored soft tortillas. Spread a little mustard on it, then place a piece of ham (or turkey), lettuce and cheese--I use Swiss or Provolone--and roll up and cut into pinwheels. I put the lettuce in between the cold cuts and the cheese. It makes them less slippery and messy. These a ...

It's been raining off and on all day and probably one of the last nights of "winter" type weather we'll have.  My husband is in the kitchen making homemade albondigas and tortillas, which we love on nights like this. Tea Party Republicans Love Love Love Ted CruzOct 18, 2013
even among Republicans, according to a survey from Pew Research. But the group is still potent within the Republican Party — which means that Sen. Ted Cruz gets a bit of good news on an otherwise bleak day. "Tea Party" is a necessarily vague affiliation. There are members of Tea Party groups, of course, but Pew largely had to allow poll respondents to self identify. And a lot of Republicans did so. About four-in-ten (41%) Republicans and Republican leaners agree with the Tea Pa ...

. . .  and I'm not being facetious.  This is a “Faith” board, is it not?  Regardless of what any one of may have faith in, I somehow expected more positive and uplifting posts on this board. We have boards where the disagreements run rampant – line rates, companies, whether to even BE and MT.  But, come on . . . this is the FAITH board.  We don’t all have to believe in the same things.  We don’t all have to feel the same way.&nbs ...

I Love My Cat But HELPFeb 18, 2013
I have several cats but one in particular that I cannot seem to get this under control. This is a mostly white cat, has some markings like calico. She is shedding so much that I carry her on my clothing anywhere I go and sometimes do not know there until I look, see and ashamed did not get off. This is what I have tried: Gave her a bath last night with deshedding liquid from Petsmart- got really good reviews but bless her little heart, she was not used to that and shaking like a leaf afterwards. ...

If You Love Your JobJan 17, 2014
You can do it 7 days a week. "WASHINGTON -- Wisconsin state Sen. Glenn Grothman (R) is attempting to roll back one of the state's progressive labor laws, arguing that workers should be allowed to work without a day off if they so choose." "Current Wisconsin law requires employers to give their workers at least one day off for every week on the job, but a new law being proposed in the state assembly could change that. Two state politicians working with the local business lobby have i ...
