Period problems

I hope someone has some advice. My period is ususally 3-5 days early. This month, it was 11 days late and so far (day 2), it's not really a period, it's more like a brown mucousy discharge. I'm 49 and my husband has had a vasectomy (14 years ago). I highly, highly doubt I'm pregnant, but I've never experienced this. Is it preimenopause? Should I see my doctor? Thanks. ...
