The article would have been a little more believable until he started throwing in the old buzz words of "hate Obama". Therefore the article itself is not credible.
Here's a hint the libs have not figured out yet. People do disagree with a liberal president, just like people disagree with a conservative president. To throw in the fear tactics of Obama hater, just doesn't quite cut it.
And that is my take on the matter.
I agree... article not credible, and that is what - libs do.. win on fear tactics,, sad.nm
Fear tactics work best on conservatives, relatively - poorly on mods and libs. Fear makes us all

feel more conservative, but conservatives are notably more vulnerable to fear and motivated by it. Not my imagining--psychologists have done a great deal of study on this.
Notice how Fox is always showing bank robberies, etc., or was before the election coverage? Often with dumb robbers so you can laugh at them instead of turning the channel because of too much bad news (news stations have to worry about that), but the message always comes through: It's dangerous out there. This is not accidental; it's a trick to keep its viewers in as conservative a mood as possible.
there were no fear tactics in that article! - (just say anything)

The man used the word "hate" in reference to the Tea Party's position on Obama. You would argue with that? Do you realize that by saying nonsense like "that is what libs do" you are proving the point? Hilarious.
No, that's NOT what "libs do." - sm

That's what REPUBLICANS do. Bush kept everyone on their toes when it came to FEAR of another terroristic attack. Bush had the entire WORLD wondering what stupid thing he would do next.
Some people have very short memories.
SM, you may not hate Obama, but some on this very - forum do--virulently. Hate was a major

factor in this election, with many conservatives willing to vote for anything and anybody to get Obama out. That little issue of accepting anything can be a recipe for serious trouble, BTW, and spoke very poorly to the judgment of these people.
The actual sentence in the article referring to hate is: "The Republicans embraced the members of the tea party, who hated Barack Obama so much that they stifled his efforts to get us out of a recession." This is the simple truth. These days the tea partiers are almost synonymous with the authoritarian follower personality type, the more extreme members of whom are themselves almost synonymous with bigotry.
BTW, although we almost all can and do hate, those who are prone to hating easily and a lot, especially with little or no cause, are very largely conservative, very few liberal. (How else could liberals comprise such a broad group across all races, religions, etc., and weep sad tears for poor little misunderstood bank robbers? Why else would conservatives try to maintain an all-white party in the U.S.A.?) Another of those well-studied phenomena.
This is a real problem for "normal" conservatives, who find themselves sharing conservatism with virtually the nation's entire supply of good haters. Used to be conservatives were somewhat split between Pub and Dem because of the South's conservatives Democrats--and with them that region's share of our nation's hatemonger-troublemakers were also a problem for the Dems. No more, and the GOP has to find out how to keep them leashed.
poor logic - sm

You exaggerate the case. (Why am I not surprised?) The author was not throwing around buzzwords, but I am sure other readers can decipher that.
