Kucinich will vote for...sm

but will fight till the last vote to include a public option in the final bill.

I like Kucinich. One of the few politicians of any - party that I think is really

[ In Reply To ..]
serious about what he wants for the American people and I suspect is pretty honest and upfront.

Isn't it amazing that he changed his mind only after Obama met with him (sm) - anona

on Air Force One? Hmmmmm, wonder if there were any threats, promises, ultimatums given. Do not get me wrong, I realize that it is this way with both parties, I am as quick to call out the right as I am the left. They all need to be replaced and I cannot wait to have the opportunity to cast my vote for such!!

I don't see O as someone to threaten. Make a - promise, possibly.

[ In Reply To ..]
I am hoping that there was a discussion about why this is needed now and maybe making Kucinich aware of some information regarding strategy in the near future to improve on it that we are not aware of, and Kucinich saw the wisdom in changing his vote with that in mind. That is what I hope, anyway. Who really knows? I just think Kucinich is one of the very, very few honest politicians on either side of the aisle, and so in keeping with that, I am giving him the benefit of the doubt.

No. He changed his mind because he understands his job... - to represent best interests of Ohio...

[ In Reply To ..]
and for you to suggest that Kucinich would cave to threats, promises and ultimatums just indicates with cretainty that you know absolutely nothing about Dennis Kucinich. I am quite sure that as soon as the bill is signed, he will be first in line, tirelessly advocating his agenda for improvements, as he always has done.

This is why I'm sick of politics - anon

[ In Reply To ..]
Sure they stand up for themselves, vote the way they feel is best representing their people, then when it doesn't align with the agenda of the administration they are called into closed meetings and low and behold they walk out and their decisions change.

I used to respect Kucinich...now after hearing this, he's nothing but another sleezy politician that caves into threats or whatever else they did to him behind closed doors.

Same with the Qoepelosi. She's calling in people into closed door meetings.

Sorry, but there is something very wrong going on in DC
He was originally voting no because he wants - a public option. nm

that's what burns me about the con posters on this board - they are LAZY to actually learn about the issues - just always hinting of conspiracies and such. No one should use this board as a source of information . ..only entertainment.

and DISCUSSION on the issues with LINKS provided from BOTH sides of the coin so things could be digested and opined.

Since O became president. I have watched it go downhill ever since. Name calling, blah, blah, blah. When trying to discuss issues, you are bashed. If giving links to info, most on this board WON'T read them if it doesn't pertain to their way of thinking.

This is why I rarely get on here anymore.

The rage of the anti-Obamamites is dragging the discourse in this country down to a level that would have horrified our grandparents generations.
Not true. - Backwards Typist
[ In Reply To ..]
It's totally outrageous. O, himself, is partly to blame as he says one thing and does another. I had hope and crossed my fingers when he became president even though I didn't vote for him, but the in-fighting and lies has brought this country to its knees. People in this country are reacting with such hate on both sides that I don't see healing this country until 2012,if even then. The bailouts and stimulus, spend, spend, spend have done us in. What happens if China calls in their IOU'S? Can you answer that?

When I made that comment, I was really talking only about this board, but you have made it political against anti-Obamanites. I've tried to stay neutral, but it's kind of hard when this craziness is all around me.

Is doing what he proposed to do if elected - health care. If you can say the blame should be distributed equally in spite of the attacks on his birthplace, the attacks on receiving the peace prize, the name-calling of socialist, communist, racist, etc. The posters with his face as a joker, you are NOT being neutral. Screaming liar in the State of the Union. I could go on and on but apparently none of that is to be considered hateful. It's both sides, right.
Absolutely it is both sides, something that you seem to quickly forget. (sm) - Just sayin ....
[ In Reply To ..]
The exact same things were done to Bush when he was in office by the left and the pubs were supposed to "accept it," just like the crats are supposed to "accept it" now.

I completely agree with Backwards in everything that she says about this board. This previously was a place that you could come and discuss things, absolutely exert some frustrations but truly discuss it without the drive-by posters and posters, such as yourself Polly, who seem to think that the left is completely in the right. Bottom line here, neither side is in the right.

Again, just sayin ....

Both sides are not wrong (unless there is no "right" side - one has to be). Logic. The dems are fed up with the absolutely horrific lies told about our president. We will defend him with the same hostile rhetoric employed by the people on the right who want to rip this country apart partially because it seems to be the only language your kind seems to respond to. If your exalted Beck is free to spew anything that pops in his mind, we are not bound by any rules either. It is not true that there are always 2 sides to a story. Quit living by platitudes and down-home slogans. Are there 2 sides to a story when a child is molested? 2 sides to a story when a woman is beaten by her drunk husband? The president was elected by the majority and desires the right to carry out his promised agenda - that is what democracy is.

Don't try to drag the dems down to your level. We are supporting our president and his agenda. You are lying, hating and trying to disrupt democracy.

Both sides ARE wrong. Both sides ARE guilty of plenty of wrongdoing. Lies are told on both sides and, if you would research, you would see that Obama, our president, does not have a halo either. There are plenty of videos of him saying one thing then turning around and doing the direct opposite.

Who's that in their cabinet? Do some biographies on cabinet members/czars.

If I was to believe your statement about "the absolute lies about the president", then EVERY single newspaper, radio program, TV news program, college/university, etc., etc. lie. How can that be? Does no one tell the truth except O and the dems? (no answer necessary since I know what you would say). You put a halo on him. He is only human. His first year was a disaster and if he doesn't straighten up and LISTEN TO THE PEOPLE, his second year will be just as bad. He will be a 1-term president if he doesn't listen.

You see one side and one side only. I think you should put some computer skills to work and start reading.

I find it hard to believe that some of these posters are actually even transcriptionists. They appear to be professional disruptors, such as those employed by OFA.

It's really rather pointless to try to argue with them. In their minds, Democrats are angels and Republicans are evil, and they'll never believe differently. I just laugh at their childish comments.

Today has been especially bad. I don't know why but it was. Professional disruptors is a good description.

As for the political parties, I don't trust either side for the simple fact that they have not done anything to earn any trust. Backwards Typist hit it right on when she said both side are guilty of wrong doing. The information on these people is out there. Just a few keystrokes and you can learn a lot.

But today was an especially frustrating day on the board, but I'll follow your advice and laugh at the childish comments.

In order to claim to have exclusive grasp of reality, you would have to be in possession of ALL knowledge. By your hangin round this pop stand, I am "guessing" this is not the case. Reality consists of a person's knowledge base, their interpretation and inference and what they chose to keep and what to discard. Your reality is not the same as your next of kin's or your neighbor's. Reality is not an actual physical thing in the first place; it is a human construct. Twang diddle diddle diddle lay. Wa-hoo.

changing his vote, I can assure you that it is HIS OWN. Kucinich is, never has been and never will be in anybody's pocket. Obviously, he has had some sort of insight into how he can work passage of the Senate HCR bill to his advantage down the road.

He is the only one who had the guts to stand up publicly on behalf of working Americans against his own party and provide them voice by articulating point-by-point the flaws of this bill. One thing is for certain. Kucinich does not give in, nor does he give up, and he will keep on hammering his points home about the public option, health insurance greed and corruption in Congress in or out of office. He has always been true to his cause and that of the ones who keep voting him back into office.

I believe that he could not in good conscience deprive his constituents of the fews gains this curent bill would provide for them and I have no doubt that he will continue to fight for improvements in the bill just as soon as the ink is dry.
