I want to make a public apology to the

Moderator for having my suspicions about censorship.

I received a very nice note from her, explaining problems she's recently been having (which I don't care to disclose), and I appreciate her reply very much.

Thank you, Moderator, and I apologize for ALL of the snarky remarks I made.

Do you mean problems with this site or personal - problems? nm

Moderator wants to publicize it, I'm sure she will, but it's not my place to do that.

OK, I just wondered if it was something on this site more - than anything, because I

don't want to cause any problems.

Why would the moderator divulge personal information when addressing your concerns - about the board?

[ In Reply To ..]
This is why I don't post much here any more. Moderator gets too friendly with posters. Personal friendships are not something I look for when moderating integrity is so important when they hold our personal information, if just as limited as our IP and email addresses. Not professional. Thanks for confirming my suspicions, not that I really needed any confirmation.

I don't believe I EVER said that it was - sm

something PERSONAL, and I NEVER implied that we were "personal friends," because that is not true.

All I said was that I appreciate the nice, polite email to me.

YOU'RE the one jumping to the WRONG conclusions. You're assuming things that are not true.

"revealing problems" indicated personal - We're all human

[ In Reply To ..]
would be a good summation of this, I think.
As usual, you are ASSUMING INCORRECTLY. - sm
[ In Reply To ..]
And that makes you look foolish.

Again, there was simply an explanation, and there was NOTHING PERSONAL ABOUT IT!

Again, if the Moderator wants to explain it to the rest of the board, then she can certainly do so. It is NOT MY PLACE to discuss it, as it was specific to my problem posting and, frankly, none of your business.
Really wasn't - sm

was offering that some might have thought that by the common use of words. I don't think you should have to or should reveal anymore and I appreciated the sense of the original post realizing that we all have days.
Thank you very much. - nm

I apologize for misreading your intent. - sm

I just wasn't expecting everyone to come down on me like a bunch of angry hornets, DEMANDING to know circumstances that I didn't feel comfortable revealing, when all I was trying to do was publicly thank the moderator for mistakes I made.

I apologize again.

It is sometimes difficult to express inflection and concern in these posts...without sounding sappy, which you'll get pushed back at you too!

Wow! - Moderator

[ In Reply To ..]
Since some are so interested, there was a problem with the account I use in order to delete messages on here - someone hacked the password or something to that extent, and a bunch of posts were deleted that I had nothing to do with. The OP emailed me and asked me why her respectful post, with link attached, had been deleted, so I explained the problem I was having, I apologized, and explained I had hopefully corrected the problem.

I'm certain I have never been "too friendly" with posters here - If anything, I've been told to be a little more friendly and understanding by some of you (and I've been called a lib, a pinko, a commie, a teabagger, a pub, a bigot, and a racist, depending on whose posts I've deleted). I get that most of you don't like having a moderator and if your post gets deleted, you don't like me much either. That's fine. I can deal with that. That's why I don't respond to anyone whining about their posts getting deleted - most of you know why anyway. But when something goes wrong, I want to make sure you know it's not me, it's not the site, and whether it can be fixed. I'd like for you all to keep coming back, but I also need to keep this board a civil place for everyone. Keep that in mind the next time you get out your poison keyboard thinking insults are the way to make people understand your point of view :)

Happy posting!!

Excellent post - thanks Moderator - sm

[ In Reply To ..]
You have deleted many of my posts in the past. I never took offense to any of it and realized that sometimes I go too far and the deletions are justified. It's a hard job what you do. I've seen just as many nasty posts from all sides be removed, then I've watched them call you all the names they do.

Thanks for explaining. I will say that I think you are more than fair in what gets deleted. It's a tough job.

Public Option Hot Again?Oct 12, 2009
The group, America's Health Insurance Plans, released a report claiming that the new health care reform bill will drive up insurance premiums because not everyone will be forced into the system. Without a very large pool that includes healthy people, the insurance companies insist, they will have to pay out too much. (I'm crying crocodile tears here.) This might bring the public option back strongly if the dems finally say, "Enough of this crap!" We can only hope. NJ ...

Why Illinois Is In Trouble, 63,000 Public Employees WithJul 26, 2017
Illinois is broke and continues to flirt with junk bond status. But the state’s financial woes aren’t stopping 63,000 government employees from bringing home six-figure salaries and higher. Whenever we open the books, Illinois is consistently one of the worst offenders. Recently, we found auto pound supervisors in Chicago making $144,453; nurses at state corrections earning up to $254,781; junior college presidents making $465,420; university doctors earning $1.6 million; and 84 small-to ...

Eight False Things The Public Knows Prior To Election Day:Oct 26, 2010
Dave Johnson has written a very handy piece called: Eight False Things The Public “Knows” Prior To Election Day: 1) President Obama tripled the deficit. Reality: Bush's last budget had a $1.416 trillion deficit. Obama's first reduced that to $1.29 trillion. 2) President Obama raised taxes, which hurt the economy. Reality: Obama cut taxes. 40% of the "stimulus" was wasted on tax cuts which only create debt, which is why it was so much less effective than it could have be ...
