Pajama Pants in Public -- is it just me?

What is this?!?! Why, oh why, do people (men and women) wear these horrible pajama pants out in the world. They're everywhere! Dirty, flannel, ripped, ugly, lazy -- only to be topped off by wearing slippers, too! Making me crazy, but still not as bad as "pants on the ground." whew --- better after vent -- thanx

I don't wear them when I go out to the store or things like that (although scratch that, I think I have at least once when I was making a quick trip the grocery store, but I'm outside in the neighborhood with them on all the time. They're comfortable and mine aren't anything wild. And no slippers, just sneakers.

Because someone decides to wear their pajama pants and slippers to drop their kids off at school or make a quick out to the grocery store, does that make them an inferior person in your eyes?
Some of the best people I have known wear pajama pants, and some of the worst people I have known wear Calvin Klein (or insert other brand name here).
Clothes do not make the person. Just IMHO.

I lived in Los Angeles for 20 years, so when I see somebody not caring I give the thumbs up.

I will admit I felt a little weird when I took my kids to Bruster's PJ day to get a free waffle cone. We went there, got the ice cream and went right back home.

We recently stayed at a hotel with a continental breakfast and what really grossed me out were the people who came to breakfast looking like they just rolled out of bed, in their pajamas, hair messed up, bare feet and you know they probably didn't even bother to wash their face or brush their teeth before going out in public. Now that's gross.

It makes no sense for me to put on clean clothes to bring my kid to school only to have to come home and shower and then put on another clean set of clothes. I would be doing laundry all the time. Some mornings just don't allow time for me to take a shower especially if I have a rush report to type and then I need to run to the store for something. I just go in my pj's, again until I can take a shower in the afternoon. Just because a person wears their pj pants doesn't make them dirty, scuzzy, or lazy. Some may be even cleaner than you. There are also a lot of times where I will put a clean pair of my pj pants on right after the shower because they are just downright comfortable and especially when I'm sitting at my desk typing most of the day, I'd rather be comfortable than worry about what someone might think of me when and if I have to go out in public with them on.

Mothers who drive their children in their PJs to school are lazy, for lack of a more appropriate word. This means when returning home she jumps into bed again, otherwise she would get dressed.
Running out in PJs and saying that they do not want to put on clothes before getting showered, is a weak excuse. How dirty can they be?
I wonder what kids are thinking about a mother driving in her pajamas!

If it does not look like a pajama, then wear it also when leaving the house, and be happy.
There are night gowns that are prettier than the prettiest ball gown!
Sometimes I am really tempted to wear my night gown to a ball.
