Obama apology

Posted: Feb 23, 2012

Sarah Palin: "Obama apologizes for the inadvertent Koran burning this week; now the U.S. trained and protected Afghan Army can apologize for killing two of our soldiers yesterday."

;

Obama apology - Obama should apologize

[ In Reply To ..]
Sick of Obama kissing the butt of every ME ruler and rush to throw Americans under the bus. Guess the two soldiers that were killed could not tear Obama away from his singing engagements, golf tours, vacations, basketball games, and late-night TV appearances long enough to get a mention. Obama's actions speak loud and clear where his interests are and it is not with USA.

Obama apologize - sm

I bet the 2 "don't likes" on here would be feel a lot different if the 2 murdered soldiers had been someone they knew and loved; their son/duaghter, husband/wife, brother/sister. These 2 spent about as much time putting aside their Obama worship as the time Obama spent in these murdered soldier's memories. Sad statement of yours and Obama's allegiance along with sad statement of Obama's leadership.

I'll bet if some Muslims had burned bibles Christians - would feel differently too! nm

I have never seen or read of any instance where the person burning a Bible was killed. If you check it out, people have burned the Bible, and none were killed over it. I agree with OP, Obama is constantly apologizing for America and bowing to Middle East rulers. I have seen it asked on this board before, why do those that are so consumed with hatred of America and all it stands for, continue to live here? No country is perfect, but we come far closer than any you name. You cannot even practice Christianity or openly read the Bible in Afghanistan, let alone make comments against the government in the middle eastern countries like you see people making on this board. If someone is not proud of America and does not love this country, why be president? Makes no sense.
I just hope Santorum doesn't win. If he does, - sm

the United States of America will be a theocracy, should change its name to America-stan and will be a Santorum (and the pope) presidency, with the Republicans in Congress negatively obsessing on women's issues, including women's health, all of which I find absolutely arrogant and irrelevant to today's hot issues.
HMMMM - Sounds like "Obamastan"

by the secular population. Cannot read a Bible in some schools, but okay to read Koran or Jewish literature. Banned from using PUBLIC facilities for meetings (Bloomberg/NY) that are not in use and offered to pay a fee; yet other groups, religious and otherwise, are permitted to use them. Crosses routinely removed, even from private displays. Cross necklaces have been banned in schools, but allow gang colors to be worn. "Christmas", said or written, banned in some towns. Store ads ignore and discriminate the Christian holidays and celebrate select other faith holidays. Have not seen any Christians rioting in the streets. Have not seen Christians burning buildings, burning flags, damaging property, not to mention the 20+ people now dead because of the radical Muslims. No comparison of ideologies or behavior.
No, instead, these "Christians" like to kill abortion - doctors. sm

You mention, "Have not seen Christians burning buildings, burning flags, damaging property, not to mention the 20+ people now dead because of the radical Muslims."

What about the homegrown "radical" terroristic Christians? Timothy McVeigh is a good example. He killed 168 people and injured more than 800 people.

As far as Planned Parenthood is concerned, I need a mammogram, and my doc suggested that I go to Planned Parenthood, but frankly, I am terrorized by all the picketers and protestors who are there all the time. The kind of "Christians" who would judge me negatively, simply because I walked into the place. They frighten me because I believe they are unstable people.

BTW, PP refers women OUT for mammograms. Nice try on the spin, though.
Why are you lying about Planned Parenthood? - sm
[ In Reply To ..]
The Planned Parenthood closest to my home most definitely provides mammograms. You obviously don't know what you're talking about, and there's zero credibility to your post.

You've never encountered me, so you can't testify to my "instability." I'm talking about what's REALLY happening, not some made-up facts that I was brainwashed enough to believe. You and your comments, on the other hand, are consistent with the "instability" to which I refer.
Double standard - Blatant hypocrisy - sm
[ In Reply To ..]
Your post is a perfect example of the left hypocrisy. Why omit the Weather Underground (personal friends of Obama) that bombed several buildings, killed people, attacked police. Let us not forget his association with Farrakhan. Never mentioned the OWS wackos that damaged millions of dollars worth of property, murdered, sold drugs, raped, crapped everywhere, threatened school children, stole, abused and beat up people...Very recent occurrences. What about the lefty that flew his plane into a building 2 years ago because he didn't think Obama was left enough? What about the guy that shot Giffords? What about the 13 unarmed soldiers mowed down in the name of Allah by a radical Muslim? What about the underwear bomber? Yeah, no bias or prejudice on your part. I can give you 10 more instances, but you seem to revel in your Christian hatred and manufactured fear; seems you're lovin' it. Just sayin'

We must respect everyone's religious beliefs and symbols. That is the bottom line, not which symbol is desecrated by whom. I have an old Bible that is falling apart. I can't seem to throw it way and know no other way to remedy the situation. I would hope to display as much reverence for another religions sacred items. That is the true way to honor my God.

Those people are nuts, and just maybe an apology of the burning of several Korans will stop some of the madness over there. I would hope that they would have in turn apologized for killing our soldiers. The sooner we get out of there, the better.

Obama and apology - Conservative

[ In Reply To ..]
Let's agree for the sake of discussion Obama should apologize because they are "nuts" as you state. What still makes no sense is his complete silence and disrespect of the 2 soldiers murdered (and now 7 more people). Just to see how these devout Muslims treat anyone not adhering to their faith as they order, please read what is happening to Pastor Youcef Nadarkhani. He is being executed simply because he converted to Christianity, read the Bible and refused to go back to the Islam faith and denounce Christianity.

Just for those that may not have had the opportunity to read or watch, it was actually NATO that ordered the destruction of the Qur'an.

It is also hypocritical of these radical Muslims in that, the Qur'an books that were destroyed were defaced as they were being written in to pass messages. It is against Islamic law to deface the Qur'an in any way - yet nothing has been done to the Muslims that violated their own religious law by defacing these books, or NATO who ordered they be destroyed; yet 2 Americans were killed.

Conservative, are you going to continue to legislate my post?

First you assert that you did not use the word "devout", and now you criticize me for not using the word "radical"? I get to decide what I want to say in my own post.

I did not "choose to exclude" the word "radical". I'm not trying to spin something here, yet the tone of your post suggests I am engaged in some kind of subterfuge.

I reread that post. It had nothing to do with being "fixed on argumentation". However, I am mature enough to admit that I could have written that in a clearer fashion to explain the point I was making between being devout and radical. Instead of simply asking for a clarification, which I would have gladly provided you, guess it was more in keeping with the mentality of a few on this board to jump to conclusions about a complete stranger. Well, back to work; enjoy the rest of your day!

I suggested you might be "fixed on argumentation" in response to your post "No mention was made".

Now, let's get down to business. If you think you are "mature enough", how about laying off the thinly veiled insults? Believe me, you don't want to rassle with me and my "mentality".

Lessons never learned - IraqiFreedom

As of February 13, 2012, according to the U.S. Department of Defense, there were 4,408 total deaths (including both killed in action and non-hostile) and 31,922 wounded in action (WIA) as a result of Operation Iraqi Freedom.[43]

As far as I can tell, the only outcome of Bush's revenge was more death and the tanking of the US Economy, and the suffering of civilians and the injured. I believe that was bin Laden's goal. I believe Obama's foreign policy has saved lives that otherwise might be lost. The situation is one big mess brought about through a long history of violence, not Obama.

I would think from this very Board, you would have learned that fighting, revenge, whatever, does no good.

for destroying their electricity and water supplies, watching their friends/family die or be wounded at the hands of America FOR NO REAL, LEGITIMATE REASON, other than the promise of "freedom."

I just wish everyone would take stock of just how many countries we have troops in today.

We need a LOT of money to pay down our debt and maybe raise the ceiling again.

But with all these wars, that will never happen. The Republicans who insist on starting a war are the same Republicans that are now demeaning America's female population.

There's nothing worse than to stick our nose where it doesn't belong. And we've done that a LOT. We should be cleaning up our own back yards. Instead, people like Neut Gingrich wants our children to perform janitorial duties.
