For those bashing the republican candidates...

Posted: Oct 29, 2015

Without a republican in the white house, we will have 4 more years of what we have now.  Please tell me what you think is so wonderful right now?   The economy?  the mess in the middle east?  Russia?  cops being murdered?  more racial unrest than we have seen in decades?  the $18,000,000,000 debt that our childen and grandchildren will be paying off in higher taxes - or maybe it's our children and grandchildren being on welfare because that's what socialism is.....

;

Great analysis. The country has been fundamentally changed. Just wait - until more illegals come. I think

it's too late already to restore the country to it's founding. Something will happen.

Calling out Pub's lies = bashing, yet - see message

Yet Democrats have to endure post after post of good people being called vile names. When a Dem posts a good discussion point, someone will load board with one-line nonsense posts just so no one will read the post they find threatening.

I personally have taken a long hiatus from this board because of the constant name calling and lies posted by the Republicans got too tiresome. But, do not rejoice yee ol' Republicans, I will continue to stop by and call out your lies, deceit and misinformation.

You should be elated. The left is getting everything - politically, the country is fundamentally

changed, thinks are moving along just as Obama planned. What's not to love (if you're a leftist).
The predictability of the media cartel is become - tiresome. They still blame the Republicans
[ In Reply To ..]
even though they are giving Obama everything he wants. There's no pushback.
Not true but they do blame the GOP for the Iraq war - Oh but then they were responsible for it
[ In Reply To ..]
Never mind. That unnecessary war cost me and other Americans dearly in blood and treasure. It cost us billions of dollars. I would not trust them by giving them the opportunity to destroy our economy and our security again. Bush was president and had been warned before 911 and did nothing.

Nobody needs to call out the new Republicans' lies - They scream out loud and clear

[ In Reply To ..]
I've never seen such nonsense in my life as the new Republican party as spewing. I believe most people know they are lies, but they hate Democrats so much that they choose to believe them anyway. That's too much hatred for me, and too much hysteria. They need to calm down and study the facts of the issues, not just believe what they want to believe is true.
What lies? Care to elaborate? I am glad to - mention Hillary's lies... tell me !!!!!!nm

Starting with the expensive war in Iraq plus lies about the President's birth - See inside for more
[ In Reply To ..]
Let' see now, the lie that the President isn't an American citizen, the lie that the President doesn't salute the flag, the lie that he wasn't born in the United States, the lie that he is a moslem, the lie that Sadam Hussein had weapons of mass destruction, the lie that the President won't even wear a flag lapel pin, the lies that President Obama doubled the deficit, and moving on a bit a right-wing group called out Ben Carson for lies in the Republican debate, including not having any relationship with the troubled supplement company when he did, and I am out of time but still have many more lies to list, lies against the President, lies told by the GOP.

With the "I could care less" reaction to the Planed Parenthood - videos, I knew this country was

dead. We are getting what we deserve (not all of us). There will be a day of reckoning.

Who is the Party of Freedom? You cannot have freedom by - taxing everyone to death

to pay welfare to the entire world, which is what open borders means.

Now we have the Party of Control in charge.

The only person who seems to have any principles in common with our founders is Ted Cruz, but a conservative can't win in a liberal anything goes culture.

If there is a day of reckoning - mbmt

Those telling lies about President Obama and Democrats will be exposed.

The whole Obama presidency has been to divide and - conquer, and pit us against each

[ In Reply To ..]
other, and while doing it blame someone else. He gets away with it, too.

That's why my family is prepping for whatever - is coming, but something sure is.

Your family may be freaking out but that is not based on facts or common sense - Hysteria is not healthy

[ In Reply To ..]
Please don't share the hysteria. It's getting really tiresome.
You SHOULD be hysterical ... if you care at all about - the USA,, you would be!!
[ In Reply To ..]
However, most liberals only care about themselves and are destroying the great nation the USA once was !!!
I will choose not to be hysterical. I have strong faith and common sense instead - No thank you
[ In Reply To ..]
I'll pass on that hysteria you're handing out. No thank you.

That was sarcasm. Of course nobody believes extremists want to - bring us together
[ In Reply To ..]
They have stated that their goal is to keep the President and Congress from accomplishing anything. That is un-American. They definitely do not have it as a goal to bring the country together, and they haven't.

http://billmoyers.com/2015/10/29/the-gop-and-the-rise-of-anti-knowledge/

In the realm of physics, the opposite of matter is not nothingness, but antimatter. In the realm of practical epistemology, the opposite of knowledge is not ignorance but anti-knowledge. This seldom recognized fact is one of the prime forces behind the decay of political and civic culture in America.

Some common-sense philosophers have observed this point over the years. “Genuine ignorance is . . . profitable because it is likely to be accompanied by humility, curiosity, and open mindedness; whereas ability to repeat catch-phrases, cant terms, familiar propositions, gives the conceit of learning and coats the mind with varnish waterproof to new ideas,” observed psychologist John Dewey.

Or, as humorist Josh Billings put it, “The trouble with people is not that they don’t know, but that they know so much that ain’t so.”

Bill Moyers, the uber liberal. He rants about the second amendment, hey Bill - the same guys wrote the first amendment.

Bill Moyers, the guy who blames everything on climate change.

"ignorance" is bliss... and the liberal kind... - THAT is YOUR NUTshell.nm

It's Been Awhile Since I Posted To This Forum. With Republican Candidates Gearing UpAug 19, 2011
and throwing their hats into the ring for the upcoming elections next year, I decided to sift through the archives of this board, going back to 2008 election and up to Obama's inauguration.  It was interesting to read all the very heated posts on both sides of the party lines.  In January of 2009, the last thing I posted on the subject of Obama was: "Time will reveal King Obama's inexperience and shortcomings." It made me wonder, where are all those passionate Obama support ...

Bashing FoxFeb 26, 2011
I really don't understand why some of the protesters are yelling nasty things about Fox.  I just now went through the my cable channels at 5 p.m.   MSMBC has some jaibirdl show.  CNN is talking about Charlie Sheen.  HLN is ALSO talking about Charlie Sheen.   Fox is the only cable news station covering their protests and talking to them.  If it wasn't for the Fox reporter, these guys would get no cable news time this afternoon.  Bunch of twits. ...

My Run Down Of The GOP CandidatesAug 20, 2011
After doing much research, I'm leaning towards Santorum.  Perry and Romney are nothing but democrats in disguise. As much as I like Bachmann, I just don't think a conservative woman has a chance. As much as I like Herman Cain, his lack of experience scares me. I'm on the fence about Ron Paul.  I like the way he stands on a lot of issues, but he stills come across to me as a little nutty and I don't know if he just doesn't present himself well or what. Any ...

Which Candidates Do You Like?Mar 01, 2014
It seems most threads begin with something or someone people don't like - I'm more interested in what/who you do like? :) I don't know of anyone on the horizon that would fit the bill, but I'd like to see someone who isn't a party puppet - someone that isn't afraid to step outside of party lines to put the country first, rather than party politics - but they'd lose financial support if they did. And let's not forget all those lobbyists' money they ...

Rich CandidatesFeb 02, 2012
I'm wondering why the talk is suddenly anti-Romney because he's rich?  If my info is correct, John Kerry and Teresa Heinz Kerry had a net worth of about $750 million when he ran for president (along with 5 or 6 very luxurious homes) but it didn't make him look like a bad guy - just a rich guy.   In other words, at what point did it become a bad thing to be a rich presidental candidate?  Personally, I don't care how much money the candidate has.  I' ...

Yes, the candidates have been reluctant to publish some unpleasant details of their policies. Most presidential candidates in modern times don’t, for the understandable reason that details can be cherry-picked for attack ads. Yes, identifying Romney’s plan requires some gue ...

Candidates' Deficit Plans Don't Add UpOct 01, 2012
As the government closes the books Sunday with a $1.1 trillion deficit for the year, which required borrowing 32 cents for every dollar it spent, budget analysts have little confidence in either presidential candidate's plan to address the accumulating debt, now at about $16 trillion. The Republican nominee promises to balance the budget in eight years to 10 years, but he also offers a mix of budgetary contradictions: higher Pentagon spending, restoring cuts that Democrats made in Medicare ...

Does Anyone Feel This Way About Candidates And Our Elections, US, State Or Local?Sep 23, 2014
Gosh, I cannot understand why they have to spend so much money on elections. The thing is that if these candidates just stated their opinions and were honest with all of us, they'd get elected and re-elected. To me, this is a sick game politics and the whole issue of the problems in our country are not being addressed rationally and with any common sense.
