Maybe the rapture was a little late?

No, because it's filled with democrats - sm

When I say "you" throughout this message I don't mean you personally, I'm going to use "you" applying to everyone here who posts snarky comments that are unnecessary.

There are some good republicans and some good democrats. You CANNOT lump them all in the same boat.

I don't understand the mindset of people who post such snarky comments about the other political party. Why do you think there is a difference in parties. There is not. You'll say you didn't like big businesses/CEO's that got rich under Bush, but yet you are okay with the same ones continuing to get rich under a democrat president. You say republicans don't care about the middle class and want to wipe them out, yet you don't research the republicans candidates. Why? Because Chris Matthews told you everything? I just don't get it. You lump everyone into the same boat, but then when it happens to your side you say "oh everyone is individual and don't judge everyone in the same party because of this or that bad apple.

All I know is republican have been the ones who are helping the middle class, who are trying to make taxes fair for all. Who don't discriminate against a small business person trying to penalize them. They don't tell the people of the country that they need to work more so they can give it to those who don't work. The republicans have been the ones to help the working class. Are there rich Republicans? Of course there are, but there are also rich Democrats.

Why can't people remove the animosity for a political party and start looking at individuals and what each person has done. There are some democrats I will vote for and some I won't and the same with the Republicans.

Why do people think it's necessary (or fun) to cut down others and start arguments just because you hate the other political party.

Just don't get it. It's really a shame that the country has come to this. It used to be bad, but it has escalated and gotten worse since the last election.

I'd say I'm done with this board, but I'm sure I will get the urge to come back and read who posted a snarky comment to my message. However, maybe I won't (oh yes, and I don't need anyone who disagrees with me telling me the "know" I'll read the comments.

Good luck to all in your bickering and hatred. Hope it all works out for ya.

Well, I was seriously wondering where they went - but I see Michelle B. is still there.

Got to give her some credit for having the guts to get out there on the record, but I guess she has to vote on it, so she can't hide her record. Oh well.

I guess we all have our sensitive days.

Ugs...don't even get me started on her - sm

I'm the one you replied to. I can't tell you how sick and tired I am of MB. It's like watching a high school cheerleader wanting to run for class president.

I don't care for her and I don't listen to her. However (by mistake) I heard her last night (was just too darn lazy to walk across the room and get the remote). Actually a couple things she said were good, that that's about it.

I just get sick and tired of the snarky remarks against republicans trying to start arguments here, but not talking about issues - I guess if that is a sensitive day then yes I had one.

Get Rid Of The Debt Ceiling!Jul 18, 2011
This is ridiculous.  Debt Ceiling:  Should the United States of America pay its debts as it agreed to or should they default?  Are you kidding me?  Should the USA become a deadbeat country?  Really?  Each month when I receive my credit card statement, my utility bills, my car loan statement, I don't ask my husband:  Should we pay these?  We incurred the debt.  We are OBLIGATED.  We are already driving the car.  We have alread ...

Six Costs Of Not Raising The Debt CeilingJul 26, 2011
What started as hot air has now become a thunder cloud. Should Congress fail to reach a compromise to raise the debt ceiling, a multitude of economic sectors could take a hit—if not come to a screeching halt. We review the effects as forecasted by economists and ask “Should you worry?” The answer, in short: Yes, probably so. 1. Mitch McConnell Debt Ceiling Plan: Senate GOP Leader Offers Alternative To Obama's 'Grand Bargain' WASHINGTON -- Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) floated a novel way out of default Tuesday, suggesting that Congress give up its power to raise the debt ceiling, and instead effectively transfer that authority -- and the political pain that comes with it -- to the White House for the remainder of Obama's current term. Adam H. Rosenzweig from the Washington University School of Law proposes a different approach to ending the debt ceiling crisis: Let the Supreme Court resolve it as a Constitutional matter. Obama Defends 2006 Vote Against The Debt Ceiling. SMOct 16, 2013
Washington (CNN) – There is no daylight between his vote against raising the debt ceiling as a senator in 2006 and his call for Congress to increase the limit in the next 10 days, President Barack Obama said Wednesday. “Nothing has changed,” Obama told WFLA in an interview. “I voted against a debt ceiling increase at the time because I had some concerns about what President (George W.) Bush was doing.” The president said he has “no problem” if members of Congress choose to v ...

For all those strict adherents to the Constitution, take note of Section 4: Section. 4. The validity of the public debt of the United States, authorized by law, including debts incurred for payment of pensions and bounties for services in suppressing insurrection or rebellion, shall not be questioned.  It would seem this brings into question the fundamental constitutionality of the imposition of a debt ceiling statute, which naturally is trumped by the Constitution.  Look for th ...

and throwing their hats into the ring for the upcoming elections next year, I decided to sift through the archives of this board, going back to 2008 election and up to Obama's inauguration.  It was interesting to read all the very heated posts on both sides of the party lines.  In January of 2009, the last thing I posted on the subject of Obama was: "Time will reveal King Obama's inexperience and shortcomings." It made me wonder, where are all those passionate Obama support ...
