And the Tea Party wonders why public perception is that they are hostile, paranoid and have no loyalty to anyone but themselves. Apparently, not even to themselves, the ad took a shot at Ted Cruz as being a Patriot Act spy supporter , too? lol
On second thought, now there's a wrestling match I'd like to see - Cruz vs. Paul.
However, methinks it would end as it would with most big-mouthed brawlers - both would end up crying and running to their daddies;)

And there's something hypocritical about a Tea Party member being supported by SuperPACS like Cruz and Paul. As if elitist/corporate-lobbyist-run government and monitoring are better than just plain government control. In fact, I'm pretty sure that's what the book "1984" was about
Rand, Dude, I'm with ya on the Patriot Act, but I'm not sure all your SuperPAC buddies are with you on that.
In fact, if we're attacking politicians who aren't even running who you believe once supported/now equivocally support the Patriot Act, I'm curious as to why the ad left off fellow Kentucky Senator, Mitch McConnell?
Here's a clue - remember when I said there's a reason why the 2 senators from my backwoods state are 2 of the biggest powerhouses in Washington?
Take a look at this 2014 SuperPAC donation list by "Open Secrets":
https://www.opensecrets.org/pacs/superpacs.php
Look at how much ONE state group "Kentuckians for Strong Leadership/Mitch McConnell" (state race for Senator) gave - they were in the top 15 in the nation for SuperPAC donations, just for his Senate seat - and that's just one group!
And if you think all that Kentucky money just comes from Kentucky coal, basketball, horse farms and whiskey, think again ;)
Therefore, that SuperPAC ad isn't really about the Patriot Act or they would've gone after Mitch as well as Obama - but Rand will take that money, honey! ;)
