Help me with my feet! They hurt so bad, are soo dry, and

I have cracked heels that bleed and hurt extremely bad. I also have cracking up the outside of my foot as well. I have used foot fungus creams and sprays. I have used that Miracle Foot Repair and many, many different lotions and moisturizers. I use a callus shaver to shave the hard dry skin off my heels and then moisturize, but it doesn't help at all. It gets really bad in the summer when I start wearing flip flops a lot. It seems my heels get worse with the cracking and hurting. I have so much irritating pain and I can't put all my weight on my left foot right now because it has to cracks and hurts like heck. I'm sick of my feet constantly hurting me and I'm sick of limping around because then my calf muscles get tight and sore. Give me some suggestions!

My feet are getting more dry with age and menopause. I think everything dries out with menopause, though that's for a different thread!

I swear by a product called "Surgeon's Secret." I get it at QVC and have it auto-shipped. I don't like all of the fragrances, though that's probably just me being picky. I've tried them all and like vanilla the best. They have smaller "trial" sizes available if you don't want to commit to a full-size stick. It comes in a stick and goes on like a roll-on deodorant would. I use it every night before bed (elbows and feet). I used to get my feet caught on the carpet because they were so dry and cracked!

I get eczema a lot on my hands and I used lotion with gloves at night when I sleep and it made them a lot better. I tried that with my feet instead of sanding and they were so soft. They make special socks for them too. Some of them have aloe and you can get them at Walmart or even the Dollar General. I would just put a dry skin cream like Vaseline Intensive Care on my feet and sleep in the special cotton socks and in the morning my feet are super soft and no dry skin. Just try it with your regular comfy socks first before you spend any MORE money!

My husband had bad feet too...cracked really, really deep, had to go to the podiatrist for treatment. After sanding the skin down, he slathered on Bag Balm, put his socks back on, and told him to do the same thing for 2 weeks.

Amazing results and CHEAP treatment! I just use the Vaseline petroleum jelly here, as the Bag Balm was just too heavy. Now that stuff is my go-to cure-all for just about everything!

Also, try to never go barefoot if you can help it. Always wear socks and shoes/slippers. Hope your feeties feel better soon!

Besides the Vaseline, get a pourous pumice/lava stone. Soak feet 5-10 minutes (I do this in a hot bath), work up a couple of handfuls of lather and rub all over your feet. While appying gentle to medium pressure, use the stone to clean your feet, paying special attention to the sides of the heels and upper soles where the cracking tends to be worse. If you do this on a regular basis it works very well as a preventative measure and keeps your feet really clean.

Try soaking your feet in warm olive oil and massage the oil into your feet...after which, wear white cotton socks.

I am reaching out to my fellow MT's to ask what to do about my cold feet. This time of year my feet get extremely cold while I type all day. I have never typed in shoes, and really cannot because I can't feel the difference in the pedals. If I wear shoes I end up backspacing or forwarding all the time. I have no idea where to go to get some help for myself. I have tried every single speciality that I thought perhaps could help but this has been going on for over 10 years now and no help. I went with whomever it was that suggested Surgeon's Secret. I bought some of that. Plus I bought a pair of "Heelies" which are these little heel socks that have a gel lining along the heel that infuse minerals and oils into your skin.
