Hi, all. Well, most of you know I spent the entire summer sick, starting out with a UTI that I let go for 10 days (living off of OTC Pyridium) until I was peeing sheer blood. I became septic. Anyway 9 organ systems were involved. I got better, broke my foot. One of my teeth abscessed a couple of weeks ago and the root canal was a piece of cake compared to everything else.
Anyway, I ended up in the ER last week after speaking with an RN at my ins. co. and with my PCP because of severe lowere abdominal pain. I was in so much pain, I was clawing at the gurney, not even realizing I did it to the point of rubbing skin off the tips of my fingers.
Now, about 3 fingers kill me when I type. I'm asking if anyone knows anything that will help? I have that Nu-Skin and Superglue. Both would hurt like crazy but they would provide padding. Thoughts?
P.S. I have always said I refuse to die until the Vikings win the Super Bowl. With Favre, they just might so maybe my body warranty is expiring because they're finally going to win it all. Ha ha.
P.S.2 You Steelers fans - I'm not sure what your issue is with the offensive line. It could be the player personnel is just not very good. It could be you have a sucky coach. I've heard Roethlisberger say he takes sacks on purpose to avoid fumbles. He's experienced enough now to let them flush him out of the pocket if need be and throw the ball away. Anyway, he's blaming himself so I'm sure the O-line isn't going to worry about them doing anything wrong.
The same thing happened to the Vikings. Favre holds out and misses all of training camp while the rest of the team had to suffer thru it. For 3 games, the offensive line did a really poor job protecting him and he was sacked often. A good QB will work with the offensive line as best he can. A great QB will get in their faces, telling them they had better darned well start protecting him. He's rarely been sacked since game 3. He now has the respect of the team. He is a true team leader. I think that remains to be seen of Ben. He's got some excellent receivers. Coverage on all those receivers cannot be that good every game so he should not be taking coverage sacks every game. If he keeps getting smacked around like he is, he's not going to make it much longer. (And to those of you who cried because they hired Mike Tomlin as their HC, I'm going to say "I told you so". He was the Vikes' defensive coordinator and I knew he'd be an excellent fit with the Steelers).
