"HAPPY FEET" (sm) :o)

Posted: Oct 23, 2009

My cat just did something I haven't seen a cat do before:

You know how cats knead their front paws ("make biscuits") when they're very happy?  Well, my cat sometimes does her "happy feet" not just with the front paws, but all FOUR at the same time!

The other evening she had climbed into bed and was kneading with her front paws, like always.  Then, she flopped over onto her side, and continued kneading the blanket (and occasionally my arm... good thing I'd just trimmed her claws!) with all four feet... front and rear.   It was the darndest thing!  At one point she even kneaded with just her back feet.  The way she did that was she hung on with her front feet, and kneaded with her back ones.

Anyway, I just had to share that, because that's the first time I've ever heard of a kitty doing that with all 4 feet!

My cat will only occasionally use all 4 paws, and only for a couple of kneads, but never heard of a cat who did it while lying down. What a cute mental picture. That must be one happy kitty! Another cat I had only used his back paws to knead, never saw him use the front ones.

Reminds me of my old cat - sm

We had an old cat and an old dog that we got about the same time and they always got along. They slept together, hung out together and were just all around good buddies. The dog had a lot of hair, so the cat would get up on top of him when he was sleeping and give him a "back rub" with all four feet then flop down and go to sleep with him. It was soo cute!

My cat, Adia, she will lie on the top of the couch right behind my head and knead my hair and my shoulders with all four feet, it is the sweetest thing ever, I always thank her for her expression of love for me. What made it even more special is the fact she did not start doing this until last year, I love it when they show affection in new ways, its like they are searching for new ways to show their love for me. Adia has never been a kneader before.

That's so CUTE!!! (sm) - Zircon

My older cat likes to sit on chairs behind my head, too... on the living room sofa if I'm watching TV, and on the back of my office chair while I'm working. She's not much of a kneader, though. The younger cat is the one who's started kneading, and it's only been in the last few months.

Help Me With My Feet! They Hurt So Bad, Are Soo Dry, AndJun 03, 2011
I have cracked heels that bleed and hurt extremely bad.  I also have cracking up the outside of my foot as well.  I have used foot fungus creams and sprays.  I have used that Miracle Foot Repair and many, many different lotions and moisturizers.  I use a callus shaver to shave the hard dry skin off my heels and then moisturize, but it doesn't help at all.  It gets really bad in the summer when I start wearing flip flops a lot.  It seems my heels get worse with ...

Cold FeetJan 14, 2016
I am reaching out to my fellow MT's to ask what to do about my cold feet.  This time of year my feet get extremely cold while I type all day.  I have never typed in shoes, and really cannot because I can't feel the difference in the pedals.  If I wear shoes I end up backspacing or forwarding all the time.  I can wear house shoes with a very soft, flexible sole most of the time, but my feet freeze this time of year.  Any suggestions?  ...

Feet Issues- For YearsAug 22, 2013
I have no idea where to go to get some help for myself. I have tried every single speciality that I thought perhaps could help but this has been going on for over 10 years now and no help. Tried ortho, podiatry, neurologist, nerve conduction studies, x-rays, MRIs, nothing found and no treatment and still going on. If not for Birkie's, have no clue what I would do but still feet aching. My left foot used to have electrical current that would hit, only when walking, never at night. That elect ...

calloused, fungi-infected man-feet.  I hate typing reports that involve foot care. I don't mind nice feet but these feet that people present to doctors and NPs are just waaaay too ugly.  Cracked, swollen, peeling, ingrown nails, fungus, sub-ungual debris.  Yuck yuck and yuck again.  ...

Is Trump Really Trying To Hold Their Feet Jul 23, 2015
So, if Repubs don't treat him "right," he may run 3rd party.  Where would that 24% (I think that is the highest I have seen) get him?  Nowhere, but it would destroy the Repub's chances.  That's 24% of their own.  Unlike Bernie, I haven't seen any articles that show any party-crossing for Trump...not a single Democrat voting for him.  Oh, there must be someone, sure... So wil the Repubs let him run with it?  The only silver lining is that this i ...

Fair Game-Holding Bankers' Feet To The FireJul 18, 2010
By GRETCHEN MORGENSON Published: July 16, 2010 KUDOS to the Federal Housing Finance Agency, overseer of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, the crippled mortgage finance giants. While some in Washington have continued to coddle the big banks even after they drove our economy into the ditch, this agency seems serious about recovering money for taxpayers by holding bad financial actors to account. The agency announced last Monday that it had issued 64 subpoenas to a throng of unidentified financial ser ...

HAPPY DAY!Mar 27, 2011
I love to cook!  Always have.  Since I was young I have collected family recipes, changed them around (or not) and have honed my skills to the point where I have earned the title of "family cook".  I can do it all!  I even make homemade cakes and decorate them for family gatherings.  I have index cards, ringed binders and tons and tons of recipes on random pieces of paper put away in boxes. A couple of Christmases ago I decided that since times are tough and gifts for o ...

I Was So Happy To See This!Apr 21, 2011
This story is one illustrates why government-controlled health care can be a dangerous thing.  The doctors and the government took choice away from these parents and basically said "sorry, your child is just going to die, no tracheotomy for him."  Religious organization from the US stepped in, brought him down here, US docs did the trach, and now he can spent his last days comfortably at home with his parents. One can only hope that never happens here. ...

Anyone Happy?Aug 03, 2010

Nebraskans Are Not HappyDec 31, 2009
From Rasmussen... In Nebraska, just 17% approve of the Medicaid deal cut by Senator Ben Nelson to secure his vote on health care reform. Nelson is now down by 30 points in an early look at his 2012 Reelection Bid. Republicans now lead by five points on the Generic Congressional Ballot. That’s a big change from the seven-point lead enjoyed by Democrats when President Obama was inaugurated. Coincidentally, Obama's approval rating has sunk to -16.   One can only hope th ...
