feet tingle/pins and needles

Posted: Mar 19, 2015

just kind of annoying.  It doesn't happen a whole lot just sometimes when I sit down in my chair to work or when I have been walking a lot.  anybody else have this?  I also have what I was told was bursitis on the right side but both of my feet tingle on the bottom, if that helps

;

sounds like sacroileitis - anon

When you sit down, you're applying pressure on the sciatic nerve ... hence, the paresthesia My suggestion is to see a spine specialist and if they don't recommend it, tell them you want an MRI of your spine.

Another possibility -- prediabetes? - see message

You should probably have a fasting blood sugar done and/or A1c to see if you have the beginnings of diabetic neuropathy.

Do you also numbness, especially on bottom of feet? (sm) - Linda

How about burning, numbness and jolts of electric like pain? I have neuropathy from my spinal stenosis in the entire spine. The same thing can be caused by diabetes. At first I had a year of just burning feet, so bad I had to get socks wet with cold water and put them on to cool the feet off. The next year it was the neuropathy.

I have the same symptoms as Linda. I had 2 back surgeries 25 years ago for stenosis. I am now to the point of not being able to walk without walker. MRI shows moderate to severe spinal stenosis. I have a neurosurgery appointment May 14. If there is anything they can do to help me I am afraid I will have to have surgery. Not looking forward to it. The recovery time is a challenge. SS is cutting off the circulation to my feet. Rubor has set in if I stand up on my feet and gets better laying in bed. I had to give up MT last June and now I have CTS in left wrist. I am not sure if it is related to my spine. Ortho doctor this Tuesday to check this out. Spinal stenosis is terrible.

Update On My Dry Cracked Sore Feet! I Know Y'all Been Waiting On Pins And Needles...Jun 14, 2011
I went with whomever it was that suggested Surgeon's Secret.  I bought some of that.  Plus I bought a pair of "Heelies" which are these little heel socks that have a gel lining along the heel that infuse minerals and oils into your skin.  My feet get really hot and I don't like to sleep in socks and these only cover the heels and halfway up the foot.  I L-O-V-E them!  During the day when I'm working, I've been using the Surgeon's Secret all over ...

John Sununu Calls Chrissy Tingle Mathews Dumb (sm)Aug 14, 2012
straight to his face.  LOL - wonder if he got a tingle down his leg from that.  Doubt it.  I haven't watched the video yet.  Will later.  I did see flipping channels last night Chrissy actually doing a commercial for Obamacare.  Unbelievable.  Journalism is dead.  ...

Help Me With My Feet! They Hurt So Bad, Are Soo Dry, AndJun 03, 2011
I have cracked heels that bleed and hurt extremely bad.  I also have cracking up the outside of my foot as well.  I have used foot fungus creams and sprays.  I have used that Miracle Foot Repair and many, many different lotions and moisturizers.  I use a callus shaver to shave the hard dry skin off my heels and then moisturize, but it doesn't help at all.  It gets really bad in the summer when I start wearing flip flops a lot.  It seems my heels get worse with ...

Stinky FeetMay 22, 2013
No reasoning for this. I wear Birkie's most all year around, no socks and tonight noticed my feet were smelling. I need some information on how to get rid of the smell (and yes I do wash my feet each day). Thanks. ...

Feet SwellingOct 19, 2013
Lately it seems by the end of my shift that my feet or at least one of them is so swollen and painful.  The swelling goes down as soon as I get in bed and am able to elevate it but it starts hurting and makes it hard to concentrate on my typing ...

Cold FeetJan 14, 2016
I am reaching out to my fellow MT's to ask what to do about my cold feet.  This time of year my feet get extremely cold while I type all day.  I have never typed in shoes, and really cannot because I can't feel the difference in the pedals.  If I wear shoes I end up backspacing or forwarding all the time.  I can wear house shoes with a very soft, flexible sole most of the time, but my feet freeze this time of year.  Any suggestions?  ...

Painful Feet And BunionsDec 16, 2010
Just wondering what to do about this, as i'm starting to have problems standing and walking for long periods of time.  I want to be conservative a while longer before I have surgery to remove the bunions and realign my toes.  Any shoe recommendations?  Any conservative treatments I may have not heard about?  ...

Feet Issues- For YearsAug 22, 2013
I have no idea where to go to get some help for myself. I have tried every single speciality that I thought perhaps could help but this has been going on for over 10 years now and no help. Tried ortho, podiatry, neurologist, nerve conduction studies, x-rays, MRIs, nothing found and no treatment and still going on. If not for Birkie's, have no clue what I would do but still feet aching. My left foot used to have electrical current that would hit, only when walking, never at night. That elect ...

I Have An Aversion To Feet, Especially Ugly, Oct 12, 2013
calloused, fungi-infected man-feet.  I hate typing reports that involve foot care. I don't mind nice feet but these feet that people present to doctors and NPs are just waaaay too ugly.  Cracked, swollen, peeling, ingrown nails, fungus, sub-ungual debris.  Yuck yuck and yuck again.  ...

Is Trump Really Trying To Hold Their Feet Jul 23, 2015
So, if Repubs don't treat him "right," he may run 3rd party.  Where would that 24% (I think that is the highest I have seen) get him?  Nowhere, but it would destroy the Repub's chances.  That's 24% of their own.  Unlike Bernie, I haven't seen any articles that show any party-crossing for Trump...not a single Democrat voting for him.  Oh, there must be someone, sure... So wil the Repubs let him run with it?  The only silver lining is that this i ...

Freezing Cold Hands, Feet And Nose But Hot And Sweating Everywhere ElseJan 17, 2011
Does anyone else have this problem.  I can not stand it.  My hands and feet and nose are so cold.  I have socks and slippers on.  In fact, my right foot is much colder than my left and is painful cold.  The veins in my right wrist are recently smaller and the left are still normal and stick out like the right used to but now they are teeny tiny.  I do not know if this is all related or not, but sick of feeling like crap and having wierd symptoms that gets the r ...

Fair Game-Holding Bankers' Feet To The FireJul 18, 2010
By GRETCHEN MORGENSON Published: July 16, 2010 KUDOS to the Federal Housing Finance Agency, overseer of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, the crippled mortgage finance giants. While some in Washington have continued to coddle the big banks even after they drove our economy into the ditch, this agency seems serious about recovering money for taxpayers by holding bad financial actors to account. The agency announced last Monday that it had issued 64 subpoenas to a throng of unidentified financial ser ...

"HAPPY FEET" (sm) :o)Oct 23, 2009
My cat just did something I haven't seen a cat do before: You know how cats knead their front paws ("make biscuits") when they're very happy?  Well, my cat sometimes does her "happy feet" not just with the front paws, but all FOUR at the same time! The other evening she had climbed into bed and was kneading with her front paws, like always.  Then, she flopped over onto her side, and continued kneading the blanket (and occasionally my arm... good thing I'd just trimmed ...
