You say nothing is better. This is just not true. The stock market is at an all-time high. Despite conservative claims otherwise, the Obama Presidency has been good for businesses. President Obama is just the fifth president in the 84-year history of the S&P 500 index to see it double during his first term.

America’s stock markets have done better than those of any of the next nine largest economies since early 2009. Stocks jumped 85 percent during Obama’s first term and the Dow Jones Industrial Average as well as the S&P 500 have both hit record highs under Obama.

In addition, corporate profits soared 171 percent during Obama’s first term, more than any other president since World War II.

Are companies passing these profits on to their employees? No. Wages are stagnant, and they have been for decades, with the exception being the wages for the top 1%. While the CEO's salaries rise, the POTUS cannot force employers to raise their employees wages. All he can do is raise minimum wage, which the conservatives will not allow him to do.

Globalization and the cheap labor overseas along with companies paying lower taxes with the moving of their money offshore has been going on for decades.

Regardless of what you've been led to believe, those are the facts.

And as far as employers being "terrified," yes, they are afraid they will have to provide DECENT health care to their employees. They're also disappointed because they still must pay their employees for overtime, instead of turning them into slaves that would have to work overtime for the promise of PTO hours.

Obama was willing to lower corporate tax rates if the republicans would come up with SOMETHING to HELP middle class citizens for once, and, as usual, the republicans didn't come up with anything.

The iditos thinking the check from the insurance company was so great, but seriously not one single one of them on here mentioned that the check, haf to be reported on the income tax forms. Nor do they mention, that any healthcare benefit your employer pays on your behalf also has to be reported to the IRS now. Now add in the 23+ taxes to the average citizen (yep, low income included).

Now add to the job market more part time hires, less full time, because no one ways to pay for Obamacare - yeah, seriously, that really makes for great household prosperity.

Now consider that the unemployement rate dropped only because people cannot find work, quit looking and are NO LONGER COUNTED.

The economy is suffering, and the unfortunate companies of America are bearing the brunt of the sheer devastation they have suffered under the Democratic communist-like regime of Barack Hussein Obama. To illustrate this phenomenon, one needs only look as far as the Dow Jones Industrial Averages. The DJIA is an average of 30 significant stocks traded on the New York Stock Exchange and the NASDAQ and is a trusted barometer of the state of the US economy that people have been consulting since 1896. The mind numbing fact regarding just how low the economy has fallen is the fact that in order to see the DJIA at its highest, one has to go all the way back to Friday, August 2, 2013, when the Dow reached new heights at 15,658.36. Looking back on the good old days of yesteryear, that fateful day of 08/02/2013......... Wait.

What? Yes. Last Friday, 2 days ago, 2 moons ago, 48 hours ago (give or take a few).

The dirty little secret they don't want you to know is that companies in America are doing just fine, thank you very much, and the economy is on an upward trajectory. It has been for years. Shhhhhhhh. Corporate profits are soaring. They just are not being passed on to the employees. This, in fact, has been going on for quite some time. But to blame the POTUS for corporate greed is a bit short sighted and exactly what your right wing political leaders want you to do. Their political fortunes rise and fall based on how many campaign dollars they can amass in order to defeat their political rivals. A large part of defeat is determined by who can raise the most money while getting the masses to vote against their own best interests.

And that's where you come in. They need you afraid. They need you very afraid. They need you out there screaming at the top of your lungs and ginning up opposition in order to "fear and smear," even though facts notwithstanding, the truth is exactly the opposite.

Good job! What's your reward if you succeed? The status quo? What has that got you so far?

Did you ever stop to think that they have what they want you to willingly forfeit? The right wing lawmakers who keep trying to derail Obamacare refuse to entertain the idea of a public health care option for average Americans, meanwhile they have been long enjoying the benefits of a government-run health care service for their own surgeries and intensive care needs.

For decades, the late Senator Ted Kennedy of Massachusetts freely pointed out this obvious hypocrisy of America's most conservative lawmakers in Congress. Said Kennedy: "We've got national health insurance for members of the Senate and House of Representatives. They give their speeches and cast their votes in Congress. And then they go out to Walter Reed Army Hospital or Bethesda Naval Hospital for the free medical and dental care that Uncle Sam provides. That isn't fair. If national health insurance is...good enough for Congress, then it is good enough for every American citizen in every city, town, and village and on every farm throughout this land."

And he's was right. He wanted you to have what your lawmakers enjoy, and so does the POTUS....... so Obamacare is the law and is here to stay.

And if you lose your job so your employer can hold onto to their stinking fat profits rather that provide you the health care coverage they enjoy, then I'd say that for once the greedy hypocrites you worked for have finally done you a favor.
