Stinky feet

No reasoning for this. I wear Birkie's most all year around, no socks and tonight noticed my feet were smelling. I need some information on how to get rid of the smell (and yes I do wash my feet each day). Thanks. ;

Maybe it is your shoes and not your feet. Wipe them out with some plain soap and water on a cloth.

Have garlic, onions, herbs, spices always and a week ago no odor, yesterday noticed it. Not only washed but used mouth wash on them this morning along with foot powder. I would hope the foods I eat do not spill out into my pores. Could you not just imagine people walking around smelling of cabbage, sour kraut and the like??

at how many do have an odor concerning what they eat. perhaps you have contracted an illness, a cold, flu, allergies, etc that has not yet met its incubation period. different medications, etc. everything that goes into our systems is detoxed through our organs, urine, and pores.

I might could understand IF I had changed - anything but have not

and really I am of the mind set that if things we ate poured out of our pores people would smell so bad you would never be around anyone. Let someone else detox, colon cleanse, whatever.

You don't say if they're open-toed or not. Birki makes a variety of footwear. I did find that the more air that gets to my feet, the better, so I pretty much wear flips flops or other type of open shoe all year. (I live in Southwest FL, so even in the winter I can do this.)

Still, even with open-air sandals/flip flops, they get a little stinky sometimes. I soak my feet in some hot/warm water and pretty-smelling epsom salts (I use a dish pan) for about 20 minutes, then I use an exfoliating product and clean them up real good. I take a sharp nail file and clean my toes, etc.

Works on all kinds of odors - good ol' Arm and Hammer. Just sprinkle some in your shoes.

I think I saw on Dr. Oz that soaking your feet in tea can help to eliminate foot odor. I'm not sure about how much or for how long, but you could probably find out by googling. It might work, but I wonder if it would stain your toenails?

I have cracked heels that bleed and hurt extremely bad. I also have cracking up the outside of my foot as well. I have used foot fungus creams and sprays. I have used that Miracle Foot Repair and many, many different lotions and moisturizers. I use a callus shaver to shave the hard dry skin off my heels and then moisturize, but it doesn't help at all. Lately it seems by the end of my shift that my feet or at least one of them is so swollen and painful. The swelling goes down as soon as I get in bed and am able to elevate it but it starts hurting and makes it hard to concentrate on my typing ...

I am reaching out to my fellow MT's to ask what to do about my cold feet. This time of year my feet get extremely cold while I type all day. I have never typed in shoes, and really cannot because I can't feel the difference in the pedals. If I wear shoes I end up backspacing or forwarding all the time. I have no idea where to go to get some help for myself. I have tried every single speciality that I thought perhaps could help but this has been going on for over 10 years now and no help. I went with whomever it was that suggested Surgeon's Secret. I bought some of that. Plus I bought a pair of "Heelies" which are these little heel socks that have a gel lining along the heel that infuse minerals and oils into your skin.
