Casey Anthony case - How long before verdict?

Posted: Jul 1, 2011

I'm biased because I despise both Baez and Casey Anthony but I say she will be found guilty within 48 hours of deliberation and given life imprisonment.

The defense case didn't even make sense and in the end they put George Anthony on trial - but for no known reason.

How about Cindy lying on the stand?  I am starting to dislike her almost as much as Casey.  Who wants a person who killed a helpless 2-year-old, her granddaughter, to be free?

I am in complete agreement with everything that you said! (sm) - anon

Bozo Baez and Casey make me absolutely sick to look at. I believe that the only reason that Baez is panicking this morning is because he knows when the witnesses from Gentiva are put on the stand for the prosecution that he and Cindy both will be proven liars, not like we didn't already know that!

I give it 48 hours or possibly less and the main reason that I feel this way is because the analysts who have been sitting in the court room have stated day after day that the jurors are not taking a lot of notes.

When this first started I wanted her to receive the death penalty but now I want her to receive life without the possibility of parole so that she can sit in jail for the rest of her life, known as a baby killer, watching TV and seeing others her age partying, getting married, having a life, and it eating her up like a cancer. I believe that is the only thing that will EVER truly bother this girl!

I agree - sm

[ In Reply To ..]
Casey should sit in jail the rest of her life. Like the above poster said, the one thing that will bother her is that she can't be out partying with her friends and shacking up with men. That has always been her life and if it's taken away she will forever suffer as she should.

She just might start to like it in prison after she gets out of County Jail..... Oh wait a minute!! Don't other inmates find a way to kill or torture baby killers? Oops..too bad Casey.

She will get life in prison. She won't get death penalty because there is no hard evidence. - nm

Speaking of Cindy, I heard the state of Florida - will charge her with perjury.

[ In Reply To ..]
Listening to commentary after the trial was delayed by the defense it was mentioned because Cindy lied, if it is proven by work records, she has cost the taxpayers more money because the trial was detained. It is also an inconvenience to the sequestered jurors who are hoping to move the trial along.

I heard Leonard Padilla, the guy who bailed Casey out to go look for her daughter, that Cindy and Casey both think they are smarter than they are. What was Cindy thinking that she could fabricate the story of her doing the chloroform searches when she was at work and there would be no way to prove it. Did she hope to outsmart the prosecution with her lies just like Casey thought she could outsmart the police?

I don't think the dysfunction and lying in this family comes from George as the defense is alleging.

I think she was trying to create reasonable doubt.. sm - Gigi

[ In Reply To ..]
Didn't she, at one point, say she didn't think those records were still available? I wonder if she knew her work records were there, would she have done the same thing?

She is trying to help her daughter or appear to help her. I believe with Cindy it is all about appearances and the appearance she wants to create now is the supportive mother role.. Just my opinion..

Cindy was trying to get premeditation off the - table. Those computer SM

[ In Reply To ..]
searches go toward premeditation. She does not want her daughter to get the death penalty. That is why she lied about it. I really don't know how she feels about punishment for Casey, if she wants her to pay with jail time or not, but she certainly doesn't want her daughter to get put to death. She really screwed up, because now it is more obvious that Casey did in fact do those searches. I don't think any of the Anthonys will be charged with perjury in this case. They have been punished enough.
Judge Perry was ticked off. Cindy's lies cost more - time and money to taxpayers and jurors
[ In Reply To ..]
Somebody needs to teach Cindy not to lie so she will stop her constant lies. If she had stopped being a lying example to her daughter, maybe Caylee would still be alive. Her and Casey both think lying is okay. It's not. I hope Cindy pays the price for her latest lies.

WHERE WILL CASEY GO IF SHE GETS OFF! - oaf

[ In Reply To ..]
Playing the devil's advocate. If you were Cindy or George would you welcome Daughter Dearest home with loving arms???!!! I'd definitely sleep with one eye open - Casey is so demented she might kill them in their sleep.... Remember the jury didn't hear all that we did. They might think there isn't enough evidence t convict her. All they need is one juror with reasonable doubt. That young lady scares me if she gets out in society again! She may have passed the psych tests but I still don't think she is sane!

She didn't 'pass' the psych tests per se.. sm - Gigi

[ In Reply To ..]
The only thing she was 'tested' for was if she understood the charges against her and if she understood the difference between right and wrong, hence being competent to stand trial. The psychiatrists probably know she has mental issues, but they were not asked that; they were only asked about whether she could assist in her own defense, which THAT she 'passed'.. But as for anything else, if they gave any kind of opinion, we don't know.

If she does indeed get out, I hope like you know what, she never has another child.

I think a sociopath can pass psych tests, don't - you? There is no SM

[ In Reply To ..]
psychiatric/medication help for people like this. Narcissistic sociopath. No feeling whatsoever for others. Notice she only "cries" when it is about her. She was stone faced when her parents broke down. The crying when her brother Lee testified is curious to me though. I think possibly she was crying because SHE missed her brother and felt a personal loss, but certainly not for the pain he was in.

When Cindy told Kaycee she wasn't going to watch Caylee like she used to and that Kaycee should be more responsible, Kaycee took it out on her mother and her father by killing Caylee, she drowned her in the swimming pool while George was taking a nap. She must have taken her out of the pool herself unless George is in on it. She wrapped the baby up like she has seen her parents do 50 times before with all the pets that died in the house in the same exact manner that her mother Cindy said she buried her pets. She never had a mother's love for Caylee because she didnt see herself as her mother but more like an evil big sister or a babysitter.

I think Casey thinks she is going to be found not guilty - sm

[ In Reply To ..]
She is probably planning her 4th of July in her head, or planning the rest of her summer because she thinks she is getting off. She is so delusional. Did you see a few days ago how she was smiling and laughing and had a smirk on her face? I can't wait to see the look on her face when the guilty verdict is read.

Magical thinking by Casey and magical thinking by Cindy - just ask the defense "grief" counselor.

[ In Reply To ..]
LOL. They are both so busted for lying. The apple doesn't fall far from the tree.

Strangest thing about these 2 Anthony liars. Neither seems the least bit humiliated when their lies are exposed. Both shake their heads in denial of the truth/facts. Sickening really considering the death of a helpless child.

I believe that Casey is 100% guilty - sm

[ In Reply To ..]
I personally feel we should have saved ourselves a lot of money and time and just took her out back and shot her and got it over with. Talk about a heartless woman who would go out partying supposedly knowing her child had been missing. Absolutely heartless!!!

As for what I think will happen...I agree that she will get life in jail. I also have a feeling Cindy will be in trouble for lying on the stand like the big moron that she is. Even though I am convinced of Casey's guilt...there really was no clear cut 100% proof evidence of how that little girl died and whether Casey was responsible for her death.

That whole family is screwed up and poor little Caylee paid the ultimate price with her life. Such a shame as she was such a cute little girl.

If she is charged with less than first-degree murder, she might be jailed in Gen Pop, where female prisoners have the same code as male prisoners: an open disdain for baby rapers/baby killers, sometimes a physically abusive and murderous disdain. Or, she could opt for isolated confinement for her own safety. Casey, who thrives on male attention, in an all-female prison. Casey, who thrives on the alcohol-fueled social life, in isolated confinement. Casey, who likes to dress in "sexy" clothes, in Prison Wear by famous couture "house" Orange County Sanctuary for Sociopaths. My concern is, if she's released before menopause, she might reproduce.

From pictures during party days, it looks like Casey - swings both ways.

[ In Reply To ..]
If she doesn't hook up with some big prison chick to protect her, she may meet the same fate as Jeffrey Daumler who was killed by another inmate while in prison.

The fact of the matter is they are charging her with first degree murder and not - anon

[ In Reply To ..]
a lesser charge. I do think that the a horrible accident happened and she did not know what to do. Before the trial ever started, they had a show on 48 Hours Mystery that comes on Saturday nights. They had a mock jury and presented them with all the evidence and the charge of first degree murder and what that means and only one person would have convicted her of first degree murder but the rest of them said they would convict on a lower charge, as they thought it was an accidental death. Unfortunately the prosecuter is arrogant enough to not lower the charge to second degree murder or manslaughter, which I think they would have gotten a conviction but I truly believe there is not enough evidence to convict her of first degree murder.

Child abuse that results in death becomes first degree murder - in Florida

[ In Reply To ..]
Not reporting a 2-year-old child missing for 31 days is child abuse. If a juror is buying the chloroform story, whether Casey just overdosed the child and didn't mean to kill her is irrelevant. It is child abuse to chloroform a child. If it inadvertently leads to the child's death, that is first degree murder.

The prosecutors are by no means stupid. They will get a first degree murder conviction.

Not true.. there are several things she can be charged with.. sm - Gigi

[ In Reply To ..]
and not just 1st degree murder. There is aggravated manslaughter at least and that carries a 30 year prison term. On top of the charges associated with Caylee's death, there is giving false info to police officers and 3 other charges that all carry 15 year sentences, so even if they think it was an accident, they have other options that 1st degree murder. It is not 1st degree murder or not guilty; there indeed are other charges 'available' for lack of a better word.

Agree with anon. Aggravated child abuse - is one of the charges SM

[ In Reply To ..]
It is a felony. If the child dies, it then becomes felony murder, which is first degree murder. Much like if someone dies during a bank robbery, the robber can be convicted of felony murder. If the jury finds her guilty of aggravated child abuse, they are given instructions about felony murder.

That mock jury thing on 48 hours was all - put on by the defense SM

and not ALL the evidence was given to them. It was ridiculous.

''accident''?! - Alicia

[ In Reply To ..]
Every adult knows that over-medicating a child or chloroforming it could be fatal. She's not stupid, so she knew it too. Infuriating to hear her attorneys claim ''accident''. Huge difference between an accident and a conscious decision to gamble with the child's life. Hopefully, she never gets the chance to have any more children who might become an ''inconvenience'' to her.

REGARDING THE CASEY ANTHONY VERDICTJul 11, 2011
When I heard the verdict, like almost everyone else in the US I was floored.  It made me question the whole trial by jury, the validity of the judicial system and whether or not a person will ever be held accountable for this crime.  In a nutshell, it is sickening and disheartening.  I also wondered why in the world the JUDGE didn't exercise his power to overturn the verdict 'cause if ever there was cause, it was this case. Okay, I get it, move on...  BUT, I haven& ...

Will There Be Violence Surrounding Casey Anthony Not Guilty Verdict? Jul 09, 2011
I live no where near Florida but the local people here are outraged that this woman walks from a crime she obviously committed because of 12 jurors who didn't know what reasonable doubt was.  This is the general consensus of talk radio people who were calling in to give their feelings on the case.    Juror 3 said she did not want to speculate but went on to speculate she thought George might have had something to do with it (?!?}.  Guess speculation may h ...

I Am Praying For An Early Guilty Verdict For Casey AnthonyJul 05, 2011
Watching verdict watch today, I just hope the jurors come back today to show Casey Anthony what they think of her and her shady attorney, Jose Baez, who maligned everyone connected with the prosecution case and was willing to accuse her father of incest in the most crude way during opening statements.  Did Baez just take this third version of what happened to Caylee at face value from Casey, the psychopathic liar, and run with it, hoping to become rich and famous lawyer? What proo ...

HLN Is Tearing Apart Juror's Reasons For Casey Anthony Not Guilty VerdictJul 13, 2011
Nor did they have the sliightest understanding of circumstantial evidence. What is funny to me is when the jurors try to justify their decision, they end up hanging themselves with their lack of knowledge of the case and the rules of the case.  Can't wait for next juror to speak up who contradicts or justifies decision based on misundertanding of rule clearly set out by Judge Perry. Clearly these jurors were misguided to say the least and uneducated at best. Maybe that is ...

I have followed this case since this child first went missing. Honestly I could not have been a juror as I feel that this girl is guilty, have for a very long time. The fake nanny, fake friends, fake job, fake trips to the beach, child missing for goodness knows how long and the mom is out partying and having a good time, how could she do it? Question For Those Watching The Casey Anthony Case ..... (sm)May 25, 2011
If you were in George and Cindy Anthony's position and your child used the defense that she was sexually abused by her father (assuming that this is far from the truth and a story that I personally do not believe), could you ever forgive your child? If I were Cindy Anthony and I knew with all of my heart that these accusations were not true, I do not think that I would ever be able to speak to my child again. What say you? ...

Casey Anthony TrialMay 30, 2011
They did a whole day of going over the trial and testimony on HLN today.  Just wondered if anyone here buys the defense story that the child drowned in the pool but because Casey was sexually abused by her father she showed no emotion and did not report it. Watching her string of lies, theft and partying, I can't imagine how she is going to get out of this even if a member of the jury believes her behavior was because of sexual molestation by her father.  Wha ...

Casey Anthony TrialJul 04, 2011
This trial has just been going on too long.  As with so many sensationalized things these days (too much in my opinion) it is just going on and on and on too long, with the hopes that a reasonable doubt is created on the part of the defense.  I  have tried to catch a bit of testimony on a daily basis, though I have not allowed my life to revolve around this case.  I have just wanted to see what evidence each side had and how it was presented and form in my own mind whether or ...

Casey Anthony's HairJun 21, 2011
I think the defense team told Casey to keep the two long pieces of hair, one on either side of her head pinned back.  Remember how she kept pulling at them and fussing with her hair over and over?  Now it's all pulled back.  I think they told her how bad that looked.  Also, she doesn't seem to be moving things around on the table like before.  All the news stations were having a field day talking about her behavior.  She has very odd behavior and some of h ...

Is Casey Anthony Coached?Jun 12, 2011
I noticed post below where someone said it was annoying to have her mess with her hair and clothes so much. I haven't seen her do this so much lately and wondered if defense team looked at overall blog feedback and coached her out of it.  I have noticed now that she is either "crying" (more blowing her nose than crying) or looking very angry. I am hoping someone coaches her out of this too. She just becomes more and more hateful to me.  That angry face shows how she was ...

When I heard the testimony of Lee's girlfriend about what a wonderful, caring mother Casey was to Caylee it made me sick.  Would a good mother put sex and partying before her child?  When I see her constantly primping in the courtoom, fixing her collar dozens of times and fooling with her hair it is clear she is totally about herself.   It is as if she is saying, "Look at me."  Seems to me when you are on trial for murder with a possible death sentence there wo ...

Casey Anthony Trial SurveyJun 06, 2011
Following this trial and listening to commentary there is very little doubt it seems that Casey Anthony murdered her child and disposed of the body. I think a lot of the bias is because she is a pathologic liar.  Aside from the lying can anyone take a leap and think she may not be guilty of murder or that the state is not proving it beyond a reasonable doubt? Does anyone believe she was molested by her father/brother which caused her psychopathic lying? I heard Geraldo Rivera comment ...
