Brilliant, simply brilliant. It cut to the chase and destroyed the defense theory. She also managed to show Casey Anthony's true character with clips and videos.

This will be over soon. I also heard one juror is scheduled to be on a cruise on the 7th. It'll be over before then. It's just way too obvious what happened here. She is an evil, evil person.

Prosecution clearly exposed a lot of lies by the defense. - Jose Baez was no match for prosecution.

Simply put, Baez is as big a liar as Casey Anthony and this was shown by closing statements by prosecution. There goes Baez big career as the next superstar defense attorney, snuffed out by Linda Drane Burdick and Jeff Ashton.

Point by point it crushed Casey Anthony and the defense. It was like watching nails being put in Casey's coffin by prosecution. No smoke and mirrors, no name-calling, just facts. Clips of Casey were damning showing no concern for anyone but herself. Final point said it all. A picture is worth 1000 words.

I forgot to mention in my other post how brilliant it was to include the phone conversations today in the rebuttal. If that didn't expose Casey's true self then nothing will. All she called for was to curse her mother and to get Tony's phone number.

I also loved when Linda Drane Burdick said that the police were called to the house to help Casey find her "missing" child, and they only asked questions about what Casey was doing and where she was going because Casey told them she was "doing her own investigation." They showed a shot of Jose Baez at that point and he looked sick.

How could she have ended more effectively? The photo of Casey in the "hot body" contest, and the tattoo on her back denoting a "beautiful life" spoke volumes. I think the prosecution in this case did a tremendous job.

When it was mentioned today that George put a mailbox up in front of Caylee's little playhouse with her name on it I was in tears. I pray the jury will do the right thing, and that there will be justice for this precious child.

Another effective statement that brought me to tears - grief counselor taking grieving mom to cemetary

This mother was grieving the loss of her child and seeing the grief counselor. Counselor testified that the mother told her the deceased child had never been alone and was afraid of storms so the grief counselor and the mother went to cemetary to sit at the grave so the child wouldn't be alone during a storm. Prosecutor represented this scenario as what a good devoted mother does as opposed to what Casey did while representing herself as a "good mother." It was a touching story in contrast to Casey and how Caylee's body was discarded in garbage bags, thrown in a swamp/woods filled with garbage, animals and snakes, never to be thought of again as Casey went on with her life.

I also loved the fact that was brought out by prosecutor that Cindy and George provided shelter, clothes and food for Caylee, NOT Casey. Casey was not only a bad mother, she was a lying parasite.

I do hope Cindy and George took notes of LDB rebuttal argument. Perhaps now they can see Casey for the evil person she is and not try to cover for her, especially Cindy who perjured herself in a capital murder case.

I am glad you brought that up because that was so powerful. Another part of the actual trial that was so painful for me was the discussion of the burial of pets. As you probably remember, I cherish animals, and I recall with vivid memory the death of my family's four pets. (My mother and stepfather.) I remember when our female Scottish Terrier, Maggie (we had a darling boy, too named Angus) died at age seven from lymphosarcoma how the three of us stood in the woods at their home as my stepfather lowered the box with her into the ground. She was wrapped in a soft blanket with her favorite toy. I included a poem I wrote for her as well. It was a cold, rainy day March 6, 1991. Mom and I stood under an umbrella over my stepfather as we watched. We all went into the house and mom put bowls on the table. She had some leftover vegetable soup, and all three of us said we could not eat. I mention this for the obvious reason. When you love someone and want nothing more than to protect them from any kind of harm, the burial is critically important to you. My stepfather made the beautiful box he placed Maggie in. When I arrived from work that afternoon he and my mom waited in the livingroom and I went to spend time with her before we buried her. This is what we do for our pets. When I compared that in my mind to the way Caylee's body was disposed of it totally broke my heart. I have been needing to say that, and I took the opportunity on this board to share that memory.

Nor did they have the sliightest understanding of circumstantial evidence. What is funny to me is when the jurors try to justify their decision, they end up hanging themselves with their lack of knowledge of the case and the rules of the case. They did a whole day of going over the trial and testimony on HLN today. Just wondered if anyone here buys the defense story that the child drowned in the pool but because Casey was sexually abused by her father she showed no emotion and did not report it. When I heard the verdict, like almost everyone else in the US I was floored. It made me question the whole trial by jury, the validity of the judicial system and whether or not a person will ever be held accountable for this crime. This trial has just been going on too long. As with so many sensationalized things these days (too much in my opinion) it is just going on and on and on too long, with the hopes that a reasonable doubt is created on the part of the defense. Following this trial and listening to commentary there is very little doubt it seems that Casey Anthony murdered her child and disposed of the body. I think a lot of the bias is because she is a pathologic liar. Do you all think that 12 people who got to together to sit in on this case could all be idiots? I think maybe they didn't deliberate and came to a rash decision based on the fact they had been sequestered for so long and wanted to get home. I have followed this case since this child first went missing. Honestly I could not have been a juror as I feel that this girl is guilty, have for a very long time. The fake nanny, fake friends, fake job, fake trips to the beach, child missing for goodness knows how long and the mom is out partying and having a good time, how could she do it?
