Casey Anthony . . Good Mother?

When I heard the testimony of Lee's girlfriend about what a wonderful, caring mother Casey was to Caylee it made me sick. Would a good mother put sex and partying before her child? When I see her constantly primping in the courtoom, fixing her collar dozens of times and fooling with her hair it is clear she is totally about herself. It is as if she is saying, "Look at me." Seems to me when you are on trial for murder with a possible death sentence there would be more on her mind than her personal appearance. Anyone that self centered could never give a little child the love and attention she deserves. You would think she would be humiliated and wouldn't want to show her face knowing the world knows she is a pathetic liar.

I listened the Anthony family testimony and watched the videos from jail visits. As a whole the family seems really, really stupid, first for overlooking the lies and thefts and just the way they testified, especially Lee after his sister acused him of molesting her. Something is wrong with the lot of them and with Lee being so dumb, I would expect nothing more from his girlfriend.

I did notice Casey's obsession with fixing her hair, adjusting her clothes and wearing sleeves that cover her hands. This behavior tells me that she has gotten by on how she looks all her life and she is still concerned that people will overlook all she has done if she looks cute. To me she looks like the Bride of Frankenstein.

She has to be one of the most hated women ever after yesterday's testimony and videos. Wonder how her family feels about her now that she has not only killed the child but dragged them through the mud after doing it.

Her attorney, Jose Baez, is an incompetent JOKE. Fortunately the joker is going to put Casey Anthony in prison forever with his stupid outrageous defense. Wonder if there is a little something going on between Casey and Jose? Why else would he want to defend this mess of a case with an obvious outcome that will damage his reputation forever.

Lies, Lies and more lies!! I have a question about dear Casey - how did she get money all the time she said she was working at Universal and wasn't??? Drugs, prostitution, besides stealing from family members? I think they should have gone with an insanity defense because I think Casey is a sociopath!!

Problem with an insanity defense is she cannot be able to differentiate between right and wrong. She obviously knows right from wrong. Statistically there are soooo, soooo many sociopaths in the world. They're not legally insane. They know they shouldn't do something, but don't feel like the law applies to them! So sad for the families of people like this - what they have to deal with!

I think he's defending her for free and for advertisement purposes obviously. People will remember his name due to this trial.

Jose has made so many mistakes in this case knowing the evidence against Casey, especially the jail tapes. She is a dead woman walking right now.

that when he was 'objecting' to the playing of the jailhouse recordings it was because of what they said about HIM, nothing to do with his client or anything; he's looking out for himself. He and Casey are two peas in a pod.

In my opinion, the best thing for her to do now is just take a plea deal, which she will never do, but at least it would take the possibility of the death sentence away. I can't imagine how anyone on that defense team thinks the case is going good for them..

Have you noticed how slowly she wipes her right eye over and over again? No tears, just rubbing slowly. I guess we're suppose to think she's got a tear up there somewhere. I don't blame the rest of her family. It appears she grew up very loved and Caylee was very much loved. Casey is just evil and it happens whether you're raised right or wrong, depends on the person and greed obviously set in and she wanted to be single so she murdered that adorable child. I feel sorry for her family, especially now that she's claiming abuse from the father.

I thought the same thing. She keeps wiping and wiping. Her tears must be made of grease! When I have tears running I simply take a tissue and blot. I don't have the need to constantly slowly wipe each eye. It's all for the camera, and it's more of the "look at me" that is so Casey Anthony. She has been locked up for a long time. What does she find so funny? She comes into the courtoom and makes eye contact with Jose and puts that flirty grin on her face and laughs. She is loving every minute on camera.

They are both incompetent and full of themselves. If the jury dislikes these 2 as much as I do, she is going to get the death penalty. Neither is very smart and both think they can get over on people. Jose is just throwing out everything he can think of to distract jury from real facts. Casey doesn't seem to be able to wrap her head around what she has done and the consequences of her actions and lies.

Although I love watching the trial I will be happy when neither of them are in the news.

I'm in the next county over and I've been watching it on ABC and we have had a legal analyst on explaining what this and that means as far as legal mumbojumbo and he is starting to call the defense a "Schizophrenic Defense!"

He's said it numerous times already, which is hilarious.

So what are your ideas on what actually happened to Caylee?

I think she probably chloroformed that little girl one to many times.

This whole thing is sad and disgusting.

I just found out the other day that they are going for the death penalty because of the duct tape issue. The state believes that Caylee was alive when that duct tape was applied.

When her mother took the stand and was so emotional hearing the 911 tapes, my heart just broke for her. You could hear the panic and desperation in Cindy's voice on the 911 tape, but when Casey got on the phone, she was cold and had zero emotion. You could tell in the jail videos when her parents came to see her that they loved Casey very much. For her to drag them through this is so heartless. Her poor parents not only lost a grand-daughter but have lost a daughter too.

I never had children. What a joy it would have been for me to have a beautiful little child like Caylee. I just can't understand how anyone could hurt the very young, the elderly, people with special needs and animals. It is beyond comprehension. I pray there will be justice for Caylee, and really for all of us who have followed this from the beginning. It is heartbreaking.

They did a whole day of going over the trial and testimony on HLN today. Just wondered if anyone here buys the defense story that the child drowned in the pool but because Casey was sexually abused by her father she showed no emotion and did not report it. When I heard the verdict, like almost everyone else in the US I was floored. It made me question the whole trial by jury, the validity of the judicial system and whether or not a person will ever be held accountable for this crime. This trial has just been going on too long. As with so many sensationalized things these days (too much in my opinion) it is just going on and on and on too long, with the hopes that a reasonable doubt is created on the part of the defense. I think the defense team told Casey to keep the two long pieces of hair, one on either side of her head pinned back. Remember how she kept pulling at them and fussing with her hair over and over? Following this trial and listening to commentary there is very little doubt it seems that Casey Anthony murdered her child and disposed of the body. I think a lot of the bias is because she is a pathologic liar. Do you all think that 12 people who got to together to sit in on this case could all be idiots? I think maybe they didn't deliberate and came to a rash decision based on the fact they had been sequestered for so long and wanted to get home. I have followed this case since this child first went missing. Honestly I could not have been a juror as I feel that this girl is guilty, have for a very long time. The fake nanny, fake friends, fake job, fake trips to the beach, child missing for goodness knows how long and the mom is out partying and having a good time, how could she do it? I think it will all depend on closing arguments and if all Jose Baez has is the drowning accident that was never testified to, the molestation that was never testified to, and stopped cold with no premedidation theory by computer searches that weren't done by Cindy, she may get the death penalty. I'm biased because I despise both Baez and Casey Anthony but I say she will be found guilty within 48 hours of deliberation and given life imprisonment. I find everything interesting and they cover it on HLN with all the professionals whom we have all worked with. THEY all have the titles, yet look at how nobody can even see a lie from the truth.
