Getting nervous about verdict

Posted: May 6, 2013

I hope  the verdict comes in tomorrow for Jodi Arias.  I was a bit anxious about it today.  Hope we don't have the shocker we had with C.A. a few years back.  I was watching Dr. Drew tonight, and Travis' best friend, Chris Hughes and his wife, Sky were on as guests again.  They are such lovely people and always share some special memory they have of Travis.  He (Travis) was loved by so many people.  Keeping my fingers crossed for justice.

Do you know late they're deliberating? - Trial Watcher

My shift starts at 3 pm PST so I miss the last couple of hours of the court day. Did HLN say how late the jury was deliberating tonight?

Speaking of Hughes', have you seen Clancy Talbot interviewed? If you Google around, that lady has been through a lot (nearly killed a couple of years or so ago in a freak automobile accident, yikes!), and there's just something about her that gives really good vibe. Oh, and she's also the lady at the Prepaid Legal convention that Jodi cornered in the bathroom to inform her that Travis was *her* (Jodi's) boyfriend and to stay away from him...even though Clancy and he had been friends apparently for years. Really impressive woman.

Their schedule - I'm a mom again!

They started at 9 a.m. today and finished at 4:30. I am on the east coast, so that translates to 12 p.m. until 7:30. So far they have 7 1/2 hours in counting the 55 minutes from Friday. Tomorrow they said the jury announced it would start at 10 a.m. instead of 9. Some say that might mean they have a verdict. I was just thinking of that "bathroom incident" this morning! What nerve! And to think Jodi told Juan Martinez and the jury she was not obscesssed with Travis!!

I just passed through the living room and by the TV on my way to get a cup of coffee and heard one of the HLN pundits speculating the late start tomorrow *could* mean the jury reached their verdict tonight, and if they show up in their "Sunday Best" tomorrow it's probably a sure sign a verdict was reached.

Didn't see all the details or hear who exactly was saying that, but it'll be interesting to see if tomorrow is "D-Day"!
THE VERDICT . . . PLEASE! - I'm a mom again!

First, I re-read my post to you before going to bed and saw how I spelled obsessed! This darn trial is really getting to me. LOL.

Yes, I think today may be D-Day, indeed. I sure hope so. I think something must be up for them to change their start time. If they have reached a verdict there would be no need to adhere to their schedule for today, so that sounds good. I hope I can watch it live instead of seeing it on a recap. The main thing is the OUTCOME! Keep your fingers crossed, Trial Watcher! I'll be thinking of you!!! Last night Nancy Grace was sarcastically talking about Jodi tweeting about not getting her snacks from the commissary and said she has been saying things again about Juan Martinez. I wonder what she said this time. Last time she said he was vertically challenged. He actually mentioned that during the trial. He just said she was making remarks about "how tall the prosecutor is."
I watched NG last night...at least between - doing other things

Jodi had tweeted about Juan and HIS lies, lies, lies that he had told during his testimony, obviously being sarcastic about his closing statements regarding HER lies, lies, lies. what a dweeb! (her, not him). she has a lot of nerve to be criticizing anybody!
I actually follow her on Twitter - Trial Watcher

And, yeah, I guess she's getting really cocky now that deliberations are underway. Referred to "Nancy DisGrace" making a mockery out of abused women, linking up to her Jodi Arias is Innocent site where she's hawking T-shirts that say "Survivor" (the proceeds of which go to a shelter connected to Alice LaViolette, ironically enough), and referring to "Juan's lies" in a couple of tweets. She and her friend Donovan have obviously been chatting it up to create the tweets.

Before the deliberations began, the tweets were pretty benign, just basically about her art work and stuff but they're ramping up now that she knows it's almost Judgment Hour!

My husband's at work and I'm getting ready to start my shift, but I'm DVR'ing everything just in case the verdict comes in.
no verdict today - people are getting restless

and coming up with all sorts of theories as to why no verdict yet. I am not worried yet. I believe it is the death penalty staring them in the face that is giving the jury fits. She did the deed, but does she deserve to die for it...AND there are 8 men on the jury who may be smitten with her beguiling ways, and only 4 women. I can see a lot of areas for dissention here. I still predict a murder 1 conviction though....death penalty...not so sure.

Tonight on her show she showed the one where she called her Nancy DisGrace. I was glad Jane-Velez-Mitchell asked the Maricopa Police officer today where Jodi is being held during deliberating hours. IN THE BASEMENT of the courthouse with NOTHING in her cell; i.e., no pens, pencils, paper, etc. That brought a smile to my face for all the obvious reasons. She has to be sweating this out, no matter how confident and cocky she appears. I just hope the jurors are taking their time and come up with the right verdict, and that these hours are not an indication of a win for the defense. Maybe tomorrow . . . . . When she talks about making a mockery of domestic violence she should look in the mirror. That's exactly what she is doing.
as well as gaining money for her - advocate

LaViolette. just not right on so many levels. seems they are letting her get away with stuff that no other prisoner would be able to get away with. but I agree about sitting in a basement room with nothing to do except be alone with her own devious thoughts.

I Am A Nervous WreckFeb 20, 2012
My husband has a passive-aggressive personality, and he's often acted out through driving when he's annoyed/mad about something. He denies it, but I don't think I'm paranoid. I'm so sick of this and it's affecting how I feel about him overall. I am constantly on the lookout because he's gawking and not paying attention to what he's doing. Last week he nearly ran a red light, turned in front of another car that had the right of way, and swerv ...

Am I Having A Nervous Breakdown???Mar 23, 2010
This is really weird.  Did you ever have an experience like this:  You log on to start work, and everything you hear sounds strange and everything you type looks incorrect??  Even the simplest of words look unfamiliar and foreign.  It's sort of like you never did this before.  Is this the first sign of a nervous breakdown?? PLEASE HELP ME. Thanks.    ...

Getting Nervous About Friend's SonJun 30, 2016
Have not heard from my friend about her son or whether her son survived the surgery. Got a bad feeling. She is so good to contact me. I was supposed to go to doctor today out of town and my car gave me fits. Well, now car repairs but not till next week. Hate that everything seems to happen on a holiday. I hope things finally settle down for me about finances and car repairs and health soon. I also hope I am wrong about my friend's son. I hope I hear soon. ...

So Nervous About Target Debit CardApr 05, 2013
I was shopping at Target recently and a clerk told me about the Target debit card where you automatically get 5% off on purchases. I jumped on it, filled out an application, and now I'm a serious nervous wreck when I think about all the information I gave up, which was everything - name, address, phone number, social security number, driver's license and bank account number. What an idiot! I regret it a thousand times over now. I'm so paranoid about identify theft, I can' ...

The Conflict On The CA VerdictJul 10, 2011
Let's say you were married, then divorced.  What if you and your ex shared custody of your young child.   Then say your ex did not return your child to you on the appropriate date.  He began telling you stories that would cause a "delay" in the child's return.  As time went on and you began pressing more and more to get your chiild back ,he then came up with more reasons why he could not return your child to you,  ALL of which were found to ...

REGARDING THE CASEY ANTHONY VERDICTJul 11, 2011
When I heard the verdict, like almost everyone else in the US I was floored.  It made me question the whole trial by jury, the validity of the judicial system and whether or not a person will ever be held accountable for this crime.  In a nutshell, it is sickening and disheartening.  I also wondered why in the world the JUDGE didn't exercise his power to overturn the verdict 'cause if ever there was cause, it was this case. Okay, I get it, move on...  BUT, I haven& ...

Casey Anthony Case - How Long Before Verdict?Jul 01, 2011
I'm biased because I despise both Baez and Casey Anthony but I say she will be found guilty within 48 hours of deliberation and given life imprisonment.  The defense case didn't even make sense and in the end they put George Anthony on trial - but for no known reason.  How about Cindy lying on the stand?  I am starting to dislike her almost as much as Casey.  Who wants a person who killed a helpless 2-year-old, her granddaughter, to be free? ...

Will There Be Violence Surrounding Casey Anthony Not Guilty Verdict? Jul 09, 2011
I live no where near Florida but the local people here are outraged that this woman walks from a crime she obviously committed because of 12 jurors who didn't know what reasonable doubt was.  This is the general consensus of talk radio people who were calling in to give their feelings on the case.    Juror 3 said she did not want to speculate but went on to speculate she thought George might have had something to do with it (?!?}.  Guess speculation may h ...

I Am Praying For An Early Guilty Verdict For Casey AnthonyJul 05, 2011
Watching verdict watch today, I just hope the jurors come back today to show Casey Anthony what they think of her and her shady attorney, Jose Baez, who maligned everyone connected with the prosecution case and was willing to accuse her father of incest in the most crude way during opening statements.  Did Baez just take this third version of what happened to Caylee at face value from Casey, the psychopathic liar, and run with it, hoping to become rich and famous lawyer? What proo ...

HLN Is Tearing Apart Juror's Reasons For Casey Anthony Not Guilty VerdictJul 13, 2011
Nor did they have the sliightest understanding of circumstantial evidence. What is funny to me is when the jurors try to justify their decision, they end up hanging themselves with their lack of knowledge of the case and the rules of the case.  Can't wait for next juror to speak up who contradicts or justifies decision based on misundertanding of rule clearly set out by Judge Perry. Clearly these jurors were misguided to say the least and uneducated at best. Maybe that is ...
