I dislike the Anthony family so much I thought I was biased

Friends and family thought they were phoney too. Fake tears from Lee for a non issue for most guys was the response from guys I talked to.

My question is did Lee and Cindy's testimony as defense witnesses hurt the defense case or help it

If the jury is logical they will know why Cindy is perjuring herself and why Lee is upset over alleged secrets in the family. If Casey's pregnancy and baby shower is the big family secret that Jose Baez was talking about in his opening statement, he can pretty much kiss his client goodbye as she heads off to death row.

While I think Casey is probably guilty, I think her brother's feelings are real. We each experience life differently and can't judge others by our own standards. We don't know what he's feeling inside, or why. I think Cindy is lying, but my heart goes out to her. What a living hell she must be going through.

You may feel Lee is genuine, but what will jury think - grown man crying over baby showers legit?

I think it is all staged to gain sympathy and you think Lee's tears are real, so I it's a toss-up what the jury thinks. The problem is coupled with Cindy's lying testimony, it could be perceived Lee lies also to save his sister.

The deeper question is if they manage to get Casey a not guilty verdict, what will they do with Casey? Just my take from reading chat rooms and watching TV coverage, but she isn't going to ever be able to lead a normal life because so many people absolutely hate her with Cindy not far behind since the testimony lies.

What I find so odd, is that Casey picked Lee up at airport and she was, "obviously pregnant.", yet no one actually told him until the day Caylee was born. What's up with that, the way they tried to act like she was not pregnant, that she was "retaining water" as Cindy, an RN, said.

No one would want to be in the Anthony's families shoes.

I wonder if Cindy knew years ago that Casey was a compulstive liar, she will lie when it is just plain easier to tell the truth, imo.

Lee is the father-- thus the name "Cay-Lee" for the girl. That could be why the parents didn't want him to have anything to do with her pregnancy. They were ticked off at him for getting their "darling Casey" pregnant. That family is so screwed up it is unbelievable!

Is it just me or does it seem like the Anthony's had a LOT of pets who died and were buried in the backyard? They did a whole day of going over the trial and testimony on HLN today. Just wondered if anyone here buys the defense story that the child drowned in the pool but because Casey was sexually abused by her father she showed no emotion and did not report it. When I heard the verdict, like almost everyone else in the US I was floored. It made me question the whole trial by jury, the validity of the judicial system and whether or not a person will ever be held accountable for this crime. This trial has just been going on too long. As with so many sensationalized things these days (too much in my opinion) it is just going on and on and on too long, with the hopes that a reasonable doubt is created on the part of the defense. Following this trial and listening to commentary there is very little doubt it seems that Casey Anthony murdered her child and disposed of the body. I think a lot of the bias is because she is a pathologic liar. Aside from the lying can anyone take a leap and think she may not be guilty of murder or that the state is not proving it beyond a reasonable doubt? Saturday I drove to Lancaster County here in PA to Barnes and Noble. I was walking around the bookstore just browsing when I saw a paperback book on the shelft, pink in color. Do you all think that 12 people who got to together to sit in on this case could all be idiots? I think maybe they didn't deliberate and came to a rash decision based on the fact they had been sequestered for so long and wanted to get home. I have followed this case since this child first went missing. Honestly I could not have been a juror as I feel that this girl is guilty, have for a very long time. The fake nanny, fake friends, fake job, fake trips to the beach, child missing for goodness knows how long and the mom is out partying and having a good time, how could she do it?
