So glad the stimulus is working. New unemployed numbers for my county - 11%

It was only 9.7% in May 2009, and in December, it was 10.9. This doesn't include those who ran out of benefits. I just can't imagine how many are really out of work here. They stated we have 8,300 people out of work. That doesn't sound like much, but I think our county only has a population of 30,000, and most of them have had to leave the county to find jobs.

that Obama is doing a good job. Yes, I get that Bush started this downward spiral....but I don't see Obama doing anything that is stopping the downward spiral. More spending is not the answer. I'm not even with the pubs on lower taxes. Leave taxes alone. If we lower taxes, that will make the deficit go up. Leave taxes where they are and cut govt spending. Those 2 things alone would make a world of difference. But you have the pubs screaming to cut taxes and you have the crats spending even more money than the pubs did when Bush was in charge. Absolutely ridiculous!!!!

Also, put in tax credits for businesses that bring the jobs back home and tax the heck out of companies that take jobs out of the country.

O does not do a good job keeping this country together. He's driving a wedge between the parties that will be too large to repair if he keeps it up.

I heard part of a speech he made in WI(?)(or was it MI?) to a group and he, again, made an a$$ out of the pubs. If he wants the pubs to work with him, he better keep his mouth shut. I think that's a big part of the problem. When O became POTUS, the pubs were going to work with him, but he cut them down the first day. Remember the saying, "Elephants never forget."

Morton Kondracke had a blog on O's reality check. It was quite interesting and he nailed it. I hope everyone read it.

Our unemployment rate is now #1 in the country at 14%! We have over 180,000 out of work and that isn't counting those who are just being dropped from unemployment. It is such a shame...

and hope to get $$ back into the city of Las Vegas so the city can give me the job I applied for 8 months ago and then they froze the positions :( in public safety even! ugh.

We were walking around the marina in Sparks on the 4th of July for the festivities and were asked 4 different times if we were supporting Harry Reid this election. The first time, my bf and i said NO at the exact same time without even thinking, it was so funny. the next time we tried to be a little less enthusiastic but still stern LOL.

The last garment factory that survived for 112 years is now gone. They just couldn't hang on any longer.
