You can try and fail 111 times to make this about Obama. The media is not talking about democrat hypocrisy. It is not dems who are stalling and obstructing progress in Congress. They will not be standing ildy by and allowing this kind of misconception to go unchallenged. Pubs better be prepared to defend their positions with more than slams and innuendoes. Trust me, in this political environment, denial in the absence of answers, goals and solutions ain't gonna fly.

Being one of the countrys unemployed, I can attest first hand - Believe this......

Instead, I am now able to take my MT skills and search for employment that does NOT involve editing Indian transcription or working for Indian wages after 28 years in the business. As I get closer to retirement age, I will not have to worry about which company is merging with which MTSO, how many times they are going to downsize my medical benefits, EMR or IC tax woes. No more "settling" for making HALF the wages I was making 10 years ago. No more.
I've paid my dues and intend to use the time I have to do this one favor for myself. I have no doubt that I can find a more stable job that I find interesting and challenging with a little initiative, creativity and determination. Without the Recovery Act, I would have been forced to grit my teeth and accept the insult of a 6 or 7 or 8 CPL offer and pretend to be grateful after nearly 3 decades of honing the craft, working 50+ hour work weeks, never seeing an off day on a weekend and literally breaking my back (DJD, multiple levels, 3 protruding discs) just to get what I was making in the last century. So, you will please excuse me if I feel very grateful for what Obama has done for the unemployed in this country.
Now, I have to ask you, what does Obama have to do with republican hypocrisy, anyway? Are you unable to defend the 111 reps who got caught with their pants down?

The big difference is that the party of NO is not in power.
Remember that the dems didn't have that filibuster-proof majority for very long. Al Franken wasn't seated until halfway through 2009. Kennedy died a month later. Kirk was appointed a month after that. Brown was then seated in the beginning of February 2010. Throughout that period, the republicans threatened filibuster a record number of times. And still, Obama signed bills supporting fair pay for women, health care for children, small business relief, vet health care, and credit card reform in his first year, to name a few.
Things were accomplished in spite of the republicans. They would like to take credit for some of those things now. But American tires of Rove-like tactics. The base might believe whatever they are told, but the middle sees through the hypocrisy and constant campaigning.
Let's hope we have turned the corner and that the government can get back to work on governing instead of campaigning.
