Scott Walker (Wisconsin) and Romney

Posted: Aug 22, 2012

Walker is doing great work in Wisconsin, even a lot of the libs (sans the unions) are happy with his economics. Romney would follow the same success rate when he's elected, and his loudest critics today just might begrudgingly admit he knows what he's talking about. ;

Wisconsin libs - mbmt

I live in Wisconsin and do not know one single "lib" who is happy with Scott Walker. He has done nothing special economically for the State of Wisconsin either.

Well I love him - great job walker

I love that my taxes did not go up AGAIN! He did everything he said he was going to. Didnt lie about it either. Its pretty darned obvious that Wisconsin likes him, hey, after the whole "waste a butt load of money, try to have him recalled cause boo-hoo, some state workers actualy have to pay something for their insurance now" election.

I would (and this is in my fantasy land) make everyone of those people who signed for the recall pay for the recall! Raise up their taxes and make them pay even more for their own insurance. Sounds fair.

Oh, but then..... - mbmt

Our taxes did go up. Walker lied about many things (too numerous to list). That being said, it is pretty obvious that Wisconsinites are very divided on how they feel about Scott Walker and how they feel about each other at this point in time. He really knows how to "divide and conquer."

You apparently do not know much about state workers' pay or benefits. I do as my husband was one of them. Is this game called hate your neighbor who went to college to make $30,000 a year? Since when is it okay to steal from the middle class workers and give to the rich?

Yeah, those darn recall people causing all this trouble and costing the taxpayers money. Please point out to everyone where it says democracy is only for those that can afford it. Why didn't we hear from you when the taxpayers were footing the bill for recalls of Democratic senators?

I signed for the recall and do not have insurance (cannot afford it),and I am quite sure many others are walking in my shoes.

You might want to check your local municipality and fees - sm

We wanted to build a tiny 8 x 8 storage shed. It cost us $180 dollars in zoning fees. Hmmm. That is about a 10% property tax increase for us (hidden of course). Instead of supporting the schools, he is giving his rich buddies a break on their corporate taxes while sticking it to the average people. Of course, that would be a long-range problem and the average Republican does not have a vision of the impact of that.

I guess you'd prefer to pay all those pensions. (sm) - nm

Bleeding heart liberals just need to take chunks out of their paychecks and pay for all these worthy charities. Just pony up. You don't need the govt to tell you. Just do it! Supporting the schools, my foot, you mean supporting the pension funds by the thug unions.

Scott Walker Fired By His OwnMay 22, 2015
In his two-year budget, Gov. Scott Walker called for a merger between WEDC and the Wisconsin Housing and Economic Development Authority, to be known as the Forward Wisconsin Development Authority. Under that plan, Walker called for removing all elected officials from the board, including himself. Earlier this month, Walker scrapped the merger plan, calling for all proposed agency mergers to be removed from the budget. He also asked lawmakers not to move forward with separate legislation propo ...

I guess Scott Walker needs to go back to college to earn that diploma he never bothered with . . . * * * Wisconsin Gov. Speaking at the Chatham House foreign policy think tank London, Walker was asked: “Are you comfortable with the idea of evolution? Obama Has Not Right To Tell Scott Walker To Bone Up On Foreign PolicyApr 08, 2015
He hasn't done a good job at foreign policy himself. In response to Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker’s criticism of his Iran policy, President Obama suggested that the presumed candidate for the 2016 Republican presidential nomination “bone up on foreign policy.”   In other words, anyone who disagrees with the president on Iran’s nuclear program, or any other national security issue, is just not knowledgeable enough to understand. Of course, there is a very ...

Scott Walker: I Can Defeat ISIS Because I Defeated 100,000 Union ProtestersFeb 26, 2015
A few weeks ago, ABC News’ Martha Raddatz asked likely GOP presidential contender Scott Walker how he’d deal with the threat posed by the Islamic State terrorist group, also known as ISIS or ISIL. It did not go well. The Wisconsin governor mumbled something about the need for an “aggressive strategy,” which prompted Raddatz to ask what, specifically, that would entail. Walker then suggested “other surgical methods” beyond the airstrikes currently carried out by a U.S.-led coalition, ...

I Appreciate Senator Tim Scott (R-SC)Jul 14, 2016
If you think African Americans are not targeted or racially profiled, listen to this guy, a black GOP senator who was stopped 7 times by cops last year. I have linked it, but also here is his statement yesterday. This Is What I See Coming For WisconsinMar 17, 2011
I have copied and pasted something someone wrote that pretty much sums up Scott (slime) Walker's intentions.   Diane Ravitch has it in a nutshell. Of Scott Walker, she writes: He expects that over time, most public workers will stop paying dues, especially now that they have to pay more for their healthcare and pension benefits. And thus will he cripple, perhaps permanently, a perennial political opponent. If Gov. Walker succeeds, there will be no organized voice to oppose hi ...

If This Is The Wisconsin Bill They Passed, What's Wrong With It?Mar 10, 2011
I spent the last few hours reading it (I really hate legalese-LOL) then did a search on collective bargaining. I did see where they wanted to tie raises to the CPI but can't find it now. Anyway, the pages that I found CB in the search are: Pgs. 955-964, 998, 1045, 1061, 1312, 1332-1334. So, tell me where they are stripping collecitve bargaining from the unions. Fair question.    http://legis.wisconsin.gov/2011/data/AB-40.pdf ...
