Governor Scott Walker - What a wonderful and new idea

Posted: Mar 17, 2014

http://mediaw.nga.org/media/streams/Sesame/SesameStreetGovWalker1.mp4 Scott Walker does Sesame Street. What a wonderful guy helping kids out like that. He sure is smart and good looking, too. ;

I could just throw up to read this. He has done more to screw over - WI residents than any other gov. nm

He is like a male Sarah Palin only worse - Sorry, OP

I figure all the Conservatives will now decide healthy nutrition is a conservative idea now.

How dare that Flotus think she can tell our kids what to do?

I did not mean to make you feel ill, but I guess I did too.

Like what? Balance their budget? Stand up to unions? - What a man.

I forget where I heard or read it, but states with Republican governors are doing much better economically than states with Democrat governors. I'm glad he got re-elected!!
Wisconsin doing better economically? - mbmt

I have lived in Wisconsin my entire life (60+ years) and do not share your opinion of Scott Walker. Here we all are on a sinking ship as far as transcription jobs go, and there are some people on this board that think Scott Walker's union busting is a good thing and that he has done wonderful things for Wisconsin. Really? What has he done that is so great?
He is a Republican - and that is good enough

for this crowd. Fox News said it and they believe it!

I'm tired of BIG GOVERNMENT telling us what to eat! What is this guy... - a commie?

[ In Reply To ..]
Tell this guy and his socialist puppets to stay away from my kids and their snacks. What kid do you know eats bananas?!? They'll just thow 'em in the garbage and STARVE. What's next... is he gonna dictate that our kids should move around a bit and exercise too?

I - do

not know anything at all about this governor, but what is wrong with the video encouraging kids to eat healthy? I am not commenting on the governor in general, just the video that was posted. As far as what kid do you know that eats bananas, my kid does. He also eats broccoli, cauliflower, green beans, apples and oranges. He eats a lot of salads at work for lunch. Government should not be dictating what our kids eat; we should be as parents. Maybe the reason he and other politicians and celebrities are encouraging kids to eat healthy is because there are parents who feel kids will just throw bananas in the garbage and apparently believe exercise is bad too.

As far as the guy and his "socialist" puppets staying away from your kids, would you rather have him encourage your kids to eat a pound of sugary snacks a day? So, is he a socialist or a commie? I can't tell, you used both terms in your criticism and they are two different things.

Your post is 100% right on, and my post was 100% - sarcastic.

I was mimicking the typical response on this board whenever the topic of Michelle Obama's anti-obesity campaign comes up. If our first lady suggests healthier school lunches or getting our kids to exercise, she's dictating and taking away the freedom to choose what we eat. Now that a TP/KB darling governor (who could possibly run for pres?) is on Sesame Street (with muppets that Fox News deemed to be anti-corporate liberals in the past... seriously... they did!) promoting healthy eating, eating a banana is a fantastic idea that just makes sense. Getting our kids to eat healthy DOES make sense, and I also don't care who helps to get that message across. I still can't understand why MO gets such flack about it.

BTW, thank you for picking up on the socialst/commie thing. You'll see that a lot here too. Welcome to the board.

posted, it crossed my mind that someone was just being sarcastic. The post seemed too ridiculous to be real. LOL I am not new to this board and I do know what you mean about all the anti-anything-Obama/Democrat comments. It seems no matter what they do, there is name-calling. As far as the socialist/commie comment, people should realize we are, and have been, a mixed country (socialist/capitalist) for a long time, through democratic and republican presidents. They also should look into some of those countries, like Germany, where everybody has healthcare, can get an education, have strong unions and don't offshore all the jobs. Everybody is doing well, businesses and citizens; unlike here where only large corporations are profiting while the rest of us are suffering. Just my thoughts. Have a good day.

Conservatives Scott Walker Vs. Ted Cruz On OutsourcingMar 23, 2015
I can't figure out why Ted Cruz is the hot ticket, right now, over Scott Walker, considering they're so similar on their views - what does he have Scott Walker doesn't other than "hot-topic" ethnicity? One of the most overlooked issues on this board is outsourcing, but it's the one that affects us as MTs the most. Obama Has Not Right To Tell Scott Walker To Bone Up On Foreign PolicyApr 08, 2015
He hasn't done a good job at foreign policy himself. In response to Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker’s criticism of his Iran policy, President Obama suggested that the presumed candidate for the 2016 Republican presidential nomination “bone up on foreign policy.”   In other words, anyone who disagrees with the president on Iran’s nuclear program, or any other national security issue, is just not knowledgeable enough to understand. Of course, there is a very ...

Scott Walker: I Can Defeat ISIS Because I Defeated 100,000 Union ProtestersFeb 26, 2015
A few weeks ago, ABC News’ Martha Raddatz asked likely GOP presidential contender Scott Walker how he’d deal with the threat posed by the Islamic State terrorist group, also known as ISIS or ISIL. It did not go well. The Wisconsin governor mumbled something about the need for an “aggressive strategy,” which prompted Raddatz to ask what, specifically, that would entail. Walker then suggested “other surgical methods” beyond the airstrikes currently carried out by a U.S.-led coalition, ...

I have linked it, but also here is his statement yesterday.
