Look what happened to Hillary at book signing (sm)

and that she was.

That made your day? - sm

[ In Reply To ..]
You said: "Made my day."

If that made your day, imagine what kind of day it would make to have a long line of people getting George W. Bush to sign a copy of his book inscribed to the 9/11 victims. Just picture that: They could get things rolling by starting with the 125 individuals from the Pentagon, followed by the 246 travelling on the commercial airliners, and follow that with the 2,606 from the World Trade Center, and on and on. Maybe George W. could just save some time and go ahead and inscribe these ahead of time (see link) and then each person could just be handed the book as they delivered their insult.

Oh, what a day that could make, I mean if you're into that kind of thing, right?

I'm just wondering how politicizing anyone's death in such a manner could make someone's day, but then I guess I'm just not wired that way.

You most certainly are wired that way. - You just proved it.

Good news is: Mimicking a duck does not make you a duck. - sm

[ In Reply To ..]
Using an opposite scenario to make a point is an effective tool, isn't it? It's called opposite comparison and juxtaposition. If someone is going to post that something like that scenario made their day, then people are naturally going to be curious as to how someone could find that the least bit amusing. Most people I know, including myself, don't quite understand Republicans' continuous and blatant politicization of the attacks on the embassy at Benghazi and find the opposite scenario disturbing.

Quack, quack!

I'm guessing by your reaction that I've made my point here, but that doesn't make me a duck!
Nope, I stand by what I said. - SM
[ In Reply To ..]
You wrote about a very elaborate scenario there. It sounds to me to be a bit more than pure mimicking.

Quack, quack!
The Bush administration had a very elaborate scenario for WMDs against Iraq.... - sm
[ In Reply To ..]

But that still didn't make any of it actually a true scenario.  There is such a thing as a change up or a "Curve Ball."

People make things up.  Being able to recognize fiction when you see it can come in handy.  Otherwise you'll just be an easy target of the network propaganda machines, regardless of your political affiliation.

If you recognize the fictional scenario of the hypothetical book signing of GWB as kind of creepy, then you are now clued in to how the very real scenario of what "made someone's day" looks like to a lot of people reading that, so....

Mission Accomplished!  Smile

You are assuming I posted - It Made My Day
[ In Reply To ..]
I did not. I still stand by my earlier statement in addition to learning even more about you from this post.
Bush stands by his decision for regime change in Iraq also. - sm
[ In Reply To ..]
Although other conservatives are finally waking up to the fact that it was a hasty and costly decision. :)

I did not assume you posted that actually, and your personal feelings one way or the other don't interest me or concern me in the least, far from it, whether you wrote the post or not. :)

My singular point was to show how that post looked to others, and I know now from your responses I've succeeded in getting the point across beyond my wildest imagination. :)
Good, so happy for you. - SM
[ In Reply To ..]
My personal feelings don't interest you, but yet you're happy with my response?? Alrighty then, good night. :-D
I didn't say I was happy with your response, you said that, and... - sm
[ In Reply To ..]
My or your happiness is really not the issue here. I did say I realized from the responses that the point I was making must have been received. To sum that point up: If it "makes someone's day" to see an American's death used to score political points against an opponent, that says more about that person than they may be actually realizing.

It is just my opinion, but I think it's about time that conservatives understood what a lot of people think about their using the Benghazi tragedy in such a manner. If it blows up in their faces later, at least they can't say they weren't warned. :)

What that proves is that the poster is one of those conspiracy theorists - who think 911 was an inside job

[ In Reply To ..]
.
No it doesn't. And you know jack about 911 - Time to let it be
[ In Reply To ..]
Unless you are an investigator and have worked closely with this topic then you have no right to call anyone conspiracy theorist or we could say the same about you.

Best advice is when you don't know what you talking about its best to keep one's mouth shut.

My cousin died on 9/11 in the South Tower at WTC - sm

[ In Reply To ..]
Ever since the 9/11 tragedy that happened in Benghazi in 2012, I am so thankful that his death was not used to score political points in a similar fashion.

Imagine if the WTC tragedy had happened on 9/11/12 instead of when it did. It makes my stomach turn knowing what the conservatives would turn it into for political gain.

Sorry about your cousin and all others who perished that awful day. - sm

[ In Reply To ..]
But what a horrible statement you made about political gain. I am otherwise speechless and filled with disappointment in a what I assume to be a fellow American.
Really? So imagine how I feel when I see people post that it - made their day
[ In Reply To ..]
to see somebody's death politicized.

And I see this going on every single day and quite a lot of people enjoying it.
Yes, really. But the only one politicizing is you. - No msg

The Republican Party and the right-wing echo chamber have been beating the Benghazi politicization drum since day 0 of the attack on the consulate when Republican Party Chairman Reince Priebus (@Reince) tweeted out after the sustained attacks on U.S. diplomatic facilities in Libya and in Egypt: "Obama sympathizes with attackers in Egypt. Sad and pathetic."

Before the announcement of the deaths of the Americans, Republicans had decided to politicize the attacks on our embassies in Egypt and Benghazi to score political points against their opponents. Romney issued a statement on 9/11 against Obama with the same assertions, a day his campaign held a press conference and had promised to refrain from political attacks. When the timeline of events disproved this attack against Obama, there were many Americans, including Republicans, holding their heads in disgust. It was an outrageous politicization of events and an attack based on a complete lie.

I think Andrew Sullivan had it quite right on 9/12 when he wrote: "These people are simply unfit for the responsibility of running the United States. The knee-jerk judgments, based on ideology not reality; the inability to back down when you have said something obviously wrong; and the attempt to argue that the president of the US actually sympathized with those who murdered his own ambassador in Benghazi: these are disqualifying instincts for someone hoping to be the president of the US. Disqualifying."

When those attacks failed, the right wing rehashed their argument and decided to accuse the Obama administration of some kind of cover-up and failure to call the attack "terrorism," even though we all heard President Obama speak of "acts of terror," in the Rose Garden. Terrorism, terror, I'm not seeing the big deal here, but I do know this. The vocal minority has been beating this drum and politicizing these events since day 0 and refusing to accept the fact that a number of people in this country just don't get the outrage, and the rest of them just don't care.
Proceed with "nm"? - Huh?

Are you trying to say something or just repeating the diversionary propaganda spoon fed by the LSM?

I don't think she'll get a free pass on Benghazi. - sm

There are still questions to be answered.

Oh, I'm sure - NK

[ In Reply To ..]
after investigations by the FBI and hearings by the Senate Select Committee, five (5) various House committees, Senate Committee on Homeland Security, and soon a House Select Committee, there are just zillions of questions yet to be answered.

But the problem is... - sm

[ In Reply To ..]
She's not answering the questions. What she says and has been saying is proven lies. She cannot be trusted.

But she'll get a free pass.
Oh, so you are calling Hillary Clinton a liar.... - sm
[ In Reply To ..]
because you don't like her answers to the questions? Proven lies? This issue has been investigated up one side and down the other since Mitt Romney made it a political issue on the day it happened. Hillary cannot be trusted because her answers don't match the version of events conservatives all agree with?

The vocal minority will not trust Hillary until her version of events matches their level of conspiracy! LOL
What do you mean "oh, so you are calling...." - That was my first post on it
[ In Reply To ..]
You must think I'm some other poster. I'm not. It was the first post I wrote.

Essentially thoug, YEAH, YOU BET she's a liar.

The intelligent minority will not trust Hillary because she's proven herself to be a pathological liar.
therein lies the problem - NK
[ In Reply To ..]
Because someone hasn't heard what he or she wants to hear does not constitute a lie. Perhaps you can enlighten us about the "proven lies."

The voters who support the witch hunt aren't going to vote for her anyway, and the voters who would vote for her recognize it for the witch hunt it is. No "pass" necessary.

I am covered through my husband's insurance for the time-being (until he retires in 2 years), so I have not had any reason to go on the Obamacare website.  My question is, when signing up for it, do they ask if you have healthcare through your employer and if so, do you have to say yes or can you say no (even if you do), and continue with the application.  Do they ask you how much you make in a year and if you don't tell the truth, so that you are eligible for a subsidy or fo ...
