Is there anything wrong with

1. Wanting the war to end? I think the war has gone on way too long. I do not see any purpose it is serving. Can anyone tell me why we are fighting in a war? Maybe I'm not at the "genious" level regarding this, but I just don't understand why we are at war. Is it ever going to end or are we going to be at it for all eternity?

2. Creating jobs for Americans here in America? Actually creating industries that will put people to work - new jobs for the people that are out of work. If you go back about 20 years or so (trying to go back to a time where we had a president that pretty much everyone liked) what did people do for a living? Millions of people were employed and the economy was doing great. What happened to that? Why aren't there jobs like we used to have years and years ago.

3. Wanting affordable health insurance for everyone in the country, and creating a plan that will give really good rates to people? I've heard so much talk about people wanting to force others to buy a product they do not want to buy, but if they could make it very affordable a lot of people would buy it.

4. Wanting the 47% of people in the country who are not paying taxes to start paying taxes? Why not have a flat tax. Is there anything wrong with wanting the other half of the country to have to pay taxes like I do? If we all paide about 15-20% seems like that would work pretty good.

5. To want our government to stop printing money? If they are just going to print on a whim, I wish they send me a few thousand or so cos I could sure use it.

6. To want our country to start getting along better no matter what political ideologies they have?

This post is not meant to blame one side or the other or to praise one side or the other, and I surely hope by what I wrote nobody can tell which side I support. But day after day I listen to the problems going on each day and it seems so simple to solve them. If they stopped the war, the money they are fundling into that could be used to create jobs here in this country, put people to work, and people would then be able to buy things to stimulate the economy. Is my thinking so simplistic. Please don't bash me, I'm just wondering.

by your post. I think the majority of us....on both sides...would agree with most...if not all...of what you just posted.

The reason simple things like your suggestions aren't being done is because too many politicians are wanting to stick in special things for their special interest groups and then the politicians have to pay back those who funded their campaigns....it is all because of the "I'll scratch your back if you scratch mine" politics we've got going on right now.

Earmarks for special projects on behalf of constituents is not new. The fact that the cost of those earmarks have become unstainable is. Some just get into the game a little late.

been a part of our government but it has gotten out of control. It is to the point of corruption now. How many politicians had their hands in those banks that went bust and we had to bail them out....Frank and Dodd for example. We only bailed out the banks that big politicians had some dealings with.

The democrats couldn't pass healthcare until Obama made promises to other politicians to buy their vote. For example, amnesty...which we all know does nothing but reward those who are currently breaking the law and it will make government assisted programs costs skyrocket because so many would then qualify.

I just keep seeing things that aren't being done for the good of the entire country. I see one small group wanting something or needing something and the whole country is being turned upside down to accomplish that. Change everything for the majority of people to make a minority of people happy...it just isn't right.

It has become corrupt and therefore the simple and easy ideas the OP talked about cannot be done.

Well, called my doctor's office again and they told me that my echo was okay. Still didn't have my CT scan of the abdomen and pelvis.
