Wow finally know what is wrong

Well, called my doctor's office again and they told me that my echo was okay. Still didn't have my CT scan of the abdomen and pelvis. I talked to the office nurse and she told me to go to the ER here and I did. My feet and legs did not get better at all with two pills of potassium. Okay, they did my potassium again in the ER along with other tests and found out that my potassium was down to 2.6 from 3 last Tuesday. Found out it was my current diuretic which was not a potassium sparing one and I didn't know that. Anyway, I had gone on something other than generic Lasix because my GI doctor said I could get pancreatitis on Lasix. So the ER doctor when he found out how low I was gave me 40 mg of Chlor-Kon orally and a new prescription for a new diuretic, Maxide. So the whole thing was hypokalemia. My legs were so sore and red and warm as well as hugely swelled. They were worse and imagine that they would have gotten that way. I thought I might have had phlebitis or a clot, but he said that usually that is only on one side. I have to go to my regular doctor when he gets back from Easter vacation and hopefully he will continue the Maxide or some other one. This has been coming on me slowly. I am hoping that the new diuretic will help slow down my diarrhea which is all water and often. I sure want to thank you all for your prayers. I was so frustrated not knowing and getting nothing that helped things at all. ;
