Maybe I'm reading this wrong but where

Posted: May 20, 2017

All I see are big corporations building stuff in Saudi Arabia.  Am I missing something here?

;

I think you are reading it wrong. But then - again lefties interpret anything Trump does wrong.

[ In Reply To ..]
The deal overall is good for the US. You all need to develop the skills to see the Big Picture.

The big picture is corporations will profit and - we will not be getting jobs

[ In Reply To ..]
How is it good for the US citizens? I asked if I was reading this wrong so explain the big picture. Again, I see corporations profiting and not seeing jobs here in the US so maybe explain it instead of insulting me.

This is not just about Americans getting jobs - it is about oil, investments and good will

From article:

"There's an economic depth to his visit," said Ahmed Alibrahim, an expert in Saudi-U.S. relations based in Riyadh. Trump would be looking to sign "major deals" with Saudi Arabia and the Gulf states, he added.

The deals will cut both ways, providing business for American firms but also investment Saudi Arabia urgently needs as part of its ambitious plan to break its addiction to oil by 2030.

"There will be significant investment from Saudi [Arabia] in the U.S. but also there will be significant benefits to Saudi Arabia," the kingdom's finance minister, Mohammed Al-Jadaan, said in an interview with CNNMoney.

"There will be employment in both, there will be investments on both sides and you will see it when the deals are announced... that there are significant investments on both sides," Al-Jadaan said.

Okay, so oil and Wall Street - will benefit.
[ In Reply To ..]
"While Trump looks for more detail on that huge cash injection, another mammoth deal may also come up in talks: Saudi Arabia's plans to list its giant oil company Aramco on the stock market."

"Officials are planning to sell about 5% of Aramco next year in what is likely to be the world's biggest initial public offering ever."

"The New York Stock Exchange is reported to be in serious discussions with Saudi Arabia over the deal. But it faces tough competition: the London Stock Exchange is also lobbying hard for a piece of the action."
Read the article. It is not limiting - the scope of the deals to oil and Wall Street
[ In Reply To ..]
There is a big picture but small minds may not grasp it. Or lefties may choose to ignore it.
I did read the article and it is about big - business and Wall Street
[ In Reply To ..]
Maybe it's small minds that don't grasp it.
I grasped it perfectly. Lefties will refuse to - because it does not suit their Trump hatred
[ In Reply To ..]
Sorry but if you lefties would actually read the article and see how this benefits the US maybe you could see Trump in a different light than the one cast by liberal media.

FROM THE ARTICLE:

If not you cannot comprehend the above, you lefties can sit in the shadows and worry about whatever the liberal media directs you to.
You're wasting time trying to get lefties to - understand the big picture
[ In Reply To ..]
If they did not get this in the talking points, they will NEVER grasp the concept. Not hard to understand that if businesses do well, ALL SIZES OF BUSINESSES, every one does better, and the American citizens have many more choices for employment. Rad lefties have such a tomb/womb mentality, they cannot understand even basic economics.

No one ever got a regular good salary with benefits from a poor businessman. But rad lefties so consumed with hatred (or are they too lazy to do what is required to make a good income) for anyone successful, they exert no common sense. Lefties unbridled hatred is truly a pathetic site, as it bleeds into every aspect of a leftie's life.
I guess we'll just have to wait and - see
[ In Reply To ..]
From my observations of what happens when companies start building plants in other countries is that then they start closing plants in the US and CEOs get bigger bonuses and Wall Street benefits.

It really would be nice if we could have conversations where you don't insult me or anyone who just sees things differently than you. I'm not a "rad lefty," I just don't share your view. You really can disagree with me without insulting me.
If my view is supported by outcome projection - of Trump deal with Saudi Arabia
[ In Reply To ..]
And lefties refuse to acknowledge it, they are rad lefty Trump haters.

Trump is a billionaire and has made deals all his life. He employs thousands of people. Lefties refuse to acknowledge this even though these facts are proven, and you all think he is stupid. I bet you all wish you were as stupid as a successful billionaire turned president.

Next out of the left ignorance is Trump is in collusion with Saudi Arabia.

Aside from the economic gain with the deals with Saudi Arabia, there is a good chance an alliance with them will help control an ISIS threat to our countries.
Since the post was about the deal - he made, I guess
[ In Reply To ..]
time will tell. My post was not a slam against Trump. I just think in general this will benefit the oil, big business and Wall Street and not us in the bottom 99%. If it does, then great but again, time will tell.

I won't address your insults.
Again, projecting EMPLOYMENT on both sides - It is plain as day, as business grows, they HIRE

Time will tell but in the meantime lefties will focus on the Trump sky falling on them and as usual, focus on Russia, Russia, Russia, when nothing has been found in months of investigations. So left media will neglect informing their left audience about the good that can come of the Saudi Arabia deal and inform viewers of how many scoops of ice cream Trump is served.
It's just like trying to debate "science" with a leftie. For example, - scientist implied that SIDS was
[ In Reply To ..]
the position the baby was lying while sleeping. Then they did a "study" implying it was socioeconomic. A nutritionist recently discovered that 90ish percent of SIDS babies were bottle fed and lacked selenium. Breast fed babies got selenium. Then a campaign was started to put selenium in baby formula.

Scientists and the medical profession make mistakes. They used to think babies didn't feel pain. Many things that people think are pre-existing conditions are actually nutrition deficiencies.

I've Been Reading Up On The Flat TaxApr 14, 2011
Flat tax won't work. If they would institute a flat tax, they would close loopholes we all take at tax time. This is why Malcolm Forbes running for President was all for the flat tax. " Following the 1986 tax reform, the average income tax paid by somebody in the $50,000-$75,000 bracket indeed went down, and I mean way down--$1,100. The total tax take for that bracket went up $7.6 billion because there were many more taxpayers in that range in 1987. Fact is, taxes for virtually all tax bra ...

Yet Another Thread About Reading :-)Mar 18, 2012
Obviously a lot of us love to read!   My question for everyone is do you keep a list of the books you have read?   I started doing this about 2 years ago because one of my kids came home from school saying that in class that day the teacher was talking about reading and said that she had heard a statistic that the average person reads 300 books in their lifetime.  Knowing me, my son heartily disagreed with that statement and said I probably read 300 books each year.   T ...

about how the Romney campaign kept secret who was going to be VP. A lot of the content is information from Beth Myers, head of the vetting process for Romney. I was wondering exactly what kind of "faith" board this is. The poster, Catherine, in the Jesus is Coming thread felt this was the "wrong forum" for posting one's religious beliefs while another posterior in that thread says that this "faith" board is meant to be all inclusive meaning persons of all faiths can post their beliefs here.
