So many of you on here are so quick to call someone racist. I also find it mind boggling that you have a problem with the AZ immigration bill which mirrors the federal law about illegal immigration. You quickly say it is racist when you have been told time and time again that Hispanics will not be rounded up and booted out. They cannot do that because any Hispanic that is "harrassed" in AZ without probable cause of suspicious behavior can sue the state and the police officer. They aren't taking rights away and it our federal law that requires legals to carry their paperwork with them at all times in the first place.
I find it astounding that you all seem to turn a blind eye to the violence and criminal activities going on related to illegals in AZ and throughout our country. I'm sure you would not be so blind if a white American citizen shot a rancher or kidnapped someone or killed a police officer. You are all quick to judge tea party people when you cannot reference 1 single act of violence at a rally....and yet you let the violence by Hispanics during their protests slide right by with an excuse. The double standards are amazing. American citizens cannot protest against our government spending, etc. because they are inciting violence and are racist. Yet people who aren't even legal citizens should have rights and they can fly the Mexican flag in the US, throw water bottles, threaten violence on police officers, etc. and you give them a free pass. Someone please explain this to me.
Illegal is a crime. If you do anything that is illegal, you pay the consequences. If you can't grasp that concept...well...that is just sad.

[ In Reply To ..]Illegal is illegal. What part of that do they not understand. It has nothing to do with race and they know it. That is usually a fear tactic they use when they can't argue the facts. There is no racial profiling that they are trying to say is being done.
A question I had for my husband the other day, is if they feel they have a right to be in our country, why are they not crossing at the border gate. Why are they jumping the fences, etc?
Illegal is illegal. It's just mind boggling that most will just let this illegal activity pass. If they are going to let this illegal activity happen then just open up the jails and let out all the murderers, thieves and other criminals. If they approve of this illegal activity going on then I'm sure they approve of all the other illegal activities going on.
