Can't believe people are so out of touch. It explains a lot, though, - in their flawed thinking.

The OP asked a very vague question and did not even give a HINT as to which "laws" she was referring to.

As far as his amendment to Obamacare, I would speculate that there will be a lot more amendments as this brand new program goes through its "growing pains," and that would be a very natural and reasonable thing to occur.

As far as "people" being "so out of touch" explaining their "flawed thinking," I can assure you I am very much IN touch, and my thinking is not flawed in any way, shape or form.
It's a tactic - sm

Some posters love to post vague references just so they can turn around and insult the person who asks what they're referring to. It's bait and switch, and it's extremely rude. I wish they would take Dialogue 101, but it's clear they don't want to converse.
Yes, I agree with you very much. (SM) - Libby

If a liberal treated a conservative like that, though, they'd be banned, and since I have two strikes, this may be my last post, which I'm sure would very much delight a certain element on this board.

You're 100% right, though: They don't want to converse; they just want to try to start trouble.

I'm at the point where if someone ISN'T rude to me, I'm very grateful and thank them for not being rude, since so many people are.

I was lucky, though, the other week to have a very nice discussion with someone who seemed like a very nice person. I enjoyed that very much and wish people on this board could just be a little friendlier and not jump to conclusions so quickly.

And to those who were kind enough to privately email me, I want to thank you for those emails, and I will write you back first thing tomorrow morning! (It's been a tiring, though wonderful, Christmas, almost 4:30 a.m. my time, and I need to get some sleep!! I hope you had a wonderful holiday, regardless of your religion.)
It may have been vague, but others knew what I was talking about. - Sorry you didn't.

I'm just curious. Why not just be specific in the first place? - sm
[ In Reply To ..]
I'm not trying to be confrontational, but we can just cut to the chase without unnecessary banter if a specific topic is introduced.

We all get information feed from different sources and time lines. I've read things here I've not heard or read where I get my information, and I've offered up information some here haven't heard yet. And I've read and posted things that haven't been timely according to the reference from which the information is acquired.

No biggie, but I think in order to have a conversation free of unnecessary or further friction, being specific is a good thing! :-)
I agree with you, but they like to call it - spoon feeding the liberals

40-some futile, ridiculous, wasteful R/TP attempts to repeal Obamacare.

I believe the correct term for what he is doing is "amending" the Act as needed to fix some minor features and/or flaws that will happen with ANY new act or law that takes effect.

There isn't one thing that is wrong or unlawful about doing that. In fact, it's expected.

Because Obama got 51.1% of the popular vote - as our commander in chief

and I was and am one of the people who voted for him. Deal with it.

Do yawl think he is just plain stupid, or does he actually believe what he is saying? He is so disconnected it's like he doesnt know there are real people out here. Like he is in a virtual reality. Do you notice that his voice inflections never change. He is robotic like. He doesnt get mad, happy, upset, aggravated, nothing but confused lol. AND if he does believe it, why? And why does he blame the republicans, then the media, then the doctors then the insurance companies, and back to the GOP again.

SOMEBODY MAKE IT STOP!!!!

President Barack Obama is probably not "lying" to the American people about anything. There is just no proof of that whatsoever.

My sister and I wonder the same thing. Eveytime he opens his mouth it is another big lie or an illegal move. He needs to be impeached, and jailed. If Bush pulled something like this..well you know what would happen. I think that the people in washington needs to grow a pair..... We can only change it with our vote next year!!!

What Bush pulled, since you mentioned him - sm

Perhaps justice will be done to Bush, et al. someday. One can only dream. It's a shame that the USA didn't have the courage to do so especially after impeaching Clinton, yet letting THIS very, VERY SERIOUS crime go unpunished.

On a different topic, I note how the USA always goes into countries to provide food for the poor who need it.

I wonder which country will come to OUR aid and feed the elderly and poor starving Americans in THIS country once the R/TP food stamp cuts start starving people to death.

: ) - thanks

because.... people are afraid to go against him? I dont really know. Clinton was impeached for oral sex, and this dictator can lie and lie, can break the law, can infringe on our constitutional rights....and what, he goes to Hawaii....ugh.

I really want to do a flash mob at the white house lol

Mom Changing When RemarriedNov 02, 2011
Has anyone else had a mom or dad get remarried and change DRASTICALLY. My mom got remarried several months ago. She is DIFFERENT. Her friends have said they noticed a big change. I definitely have. She used to be a regular church goer. She stopped that. He doesn't go so I guess that's why. She used to cook Sunday dinner every week. She no longer cooks for her kids anymore. That used to be important to her to cook for her kids once a week, even if told not to bother. She stop ...

Moms ChangingSep 17, 2012
Has anyone experienced this with their mom?  She remarried a year and a half ago, and she is a different person.  She quit going to church, she dyed her hair, lost weight, doesn't want friends just him, tans now, acts younger.  He is a greedy, stingy person and now she is too and she was NEVER stingy.  She acts like she is better than other people now.  She gets an attitude when she was never like that especially with me.  She is basically someone I don't ...

Changing Careers -- Dispatching?Feb 28, 2012
Recently there was a poster here celebrating her new position as a dispatcher for her state police.  That particularly got my attention because she is making $36K per year plus benefits AND a former coworker of mine (MT) left to go to work for our sheriff's office doing the same thing. I have been looking online for dispatcher jobs, and here are some of my thoughts: Doing 911/EMS stuff is not my cuppa tea.  WAY too stressful! I would think that sheriff's office and/or stat ...

Changing The Channel On Congress.May 12, 2017
watching the Senate intelligence committee hearings Thursday morning, I got so frustrated I started looking for a good cartoon show. What's so aggravating about these staged Congressional hearings is that you know what the Republicans and the Democrats are going to say before you even turn on the TV. Changing The Social Paradigm Without Political OppressionOct 04, 2012
Seeing the constant, raging debate in this country day after day I've been thinking a lot about the futility of political change.  True change in the system of politics is both unlikely to happen and potentially ineffective even if it did.  The problem as I see it is that the American culture is now one of endemic greed.  My observation of the rich is that - despite their behavior as soulless, heartless sociopaths - they appear to be identical to poor people, except that they ...

No Baskets Allowed To DNCSep 06, 2012
Any comments on Charlotte area churches being told they could not deliver "welcome baskets" to delegates at DNC. Media has said they were not pushing their faith or an agenda, simply wanted to give NC pralines, directions, offer to help if baby-sitting needed, etc., but were told no as their pro-life agenda was not consistent with the platform of the DNC.  I guess the DNC does not need the southern Christian vote now? Remarkable that we can no longer have a different opinion (or should ...
