...how the 92 million of unemployed Americans get health insurance? Are they on COBRA? Also, if only 2 million are insured according to Reuters on 1/10, what about the other 298 million Americans? Are they all on private insurance? We know that approximately 6 million lost their coverage. This is so confusing.

My daughter who is a nurse and has had insurance through her work forever went to an emergency clinic last week and could not use her insurance... even though her work insurance does not start new year until April. Guess that's Obama's fault too.. I stubbed my toe last week.. thats Obama's fault too I guess.

I hated Bush but geez I don't remember having such a horrible attitude about everything he did.. I sure hope I didn't. I am trying to think of something I thought he did right that I was glad about.. geez, can't think of anything.. what did he do in office???

Bush didn't push O'care down our throats. - Post not about Bush.

the law is too long and complicated and some of the provisions need changing but I still haven't heard how those opposed to it would deal with the 50 million uninsured Americans. It's much easier to criticize than to come up with an alternative. Many who think the prior system was good never had to use their insurance for something that turned out not to be covered or had astronomical copays and deductibles. Having a low premium means nothing if you are not covered when you need it.

Sometimes it takes that turn, since he is the - last president for comparison.

I went to urgent care on 1/2. I have not yet paid my premium, but IBX has issued my card and extended payment to 1/28. It worked fine. I saw a new family physician on 1/8 even though I had not chosen a PCP when I applied for coverage and her name was not yet on my card. (I've since chosen and new card is on its way.) I was able to receive service and only paid my co-pay.

Yesterday, I went and picked up five prescriptions and my card worked perfectly fine for every single one.

So while CNN found a few people who are having issues, I'm pretty sure there's a few for whom it's working just fine. Perhaps I should call CNN so I make the news.

How much was your co-pay and RX bills - If I may ask? nm

I still don't see where the money is going to come from to fund this newest and massive government-run program. There's word out there that we working stiffs are going to be paying some pretty hefty taxes. With the pay cuts we MTs have already sustained, I personally cannot afford to have less net income.

What wonderful news. If there's anything I like to hear, it's that people can't see doctors when they need to. Just kinda makes you go HA, huh?

I appreciate your compliment. I have lived for 72 years in this country and perhaps have a different perspective based on all those years of experience. I remember the vicuna coat scandal and people complaining about Ike playing golf all the time. It seems that the more things change the more they stay the same. :)

Thank you for posting this!

I've always been a creature of current events (I'm a late baby boomer), but I never grasped the impact of historical events on the present and the future. My daughter majored and mastered in history and she became my teacher, so to speak. All the stuff I learned over her years in college opened up a world of understanding about many things.

Living it, on the other hand, is the best education one can have :-)

I probably should have "signed" my name initially, but I was feeling a bit sensitive because some of my posts had been removed. Also, not always having the thickest of skin, I didn't want to risk getting any flack from my fellow party affiliates. Anyway, I am opening up to say out loud again that I thank you.

P.S. Your explanation of libertarianism over the weekend was also very informative.

I have to admit that it surprised me to see that you were the one writing it. Thank you again. As far as posts being removed, I had one removed yesterday (and had put a lot of thought into it and was rather miffed), and another one tonight. I figure if I don't get an e-mail and a strike it's because of a prior post that was removed, and that causes a whole section to be gone.

Obamacare Meltdown Has Arrived. Tennessee Is Ground Zero For Obamacare'sOct 07, 2016
last month the state insurance commissioner, Julie Mix McPeak, approved premium increases of up to 62% in a bid to save the exchange set up under the Affordable Care Act. “I would characterize the exchange market in Tennessee as very near collapse,” she said. Obamacare Is Failing From Behind... His Goals For ObamacareJul 20, 2016
1) Have it collapse so that single payer can be implemented amidst the ensuing chaos. 2) Have that happen on somebody else’s watch. Obamacare was designed to fail so the Democrats could “reform” it with complete government provided socialized medicine. That is the entire purpose for it. Obamacare is designed to collapse so they can backfill the vacuum with government run socialized medicine. Eventually, everyone will be on some form of Medicare. I believe that was one of Bernie’ ...
