Chris Christie

Those of you who were hoping he would run for POTUS in 2016 have a big problem.

Sorry for the above post - old and burned out

I see a thread was started below.

One word... - DEFLECTION!

[ In Reply To ..]
nm

Right. Any news that isn't "bad" news about Obama is - deflection.

[ In Reply To ..]
I doubt those who were stuck on that bridge for hours including emergency vehicles were thinking about deflection.

Not a Christie fan (I'm a Tea P person), but (sm) - LuL

[ In Reply To ..]
I noticed Christie taking responsibility for the incident and firing someone. When has your man Obama done that? Heck, he doesn't even KNOW about anything that goes on in his administration (at least that's what he says - he reads about it in the paper or hears it on TV) - and Christie has a bridge to sell. HA!
The person he fired worked closely with him on a daily basis - sm

I'm cutting and pasting from a post I wrote earlier:

This story has been swirling around for quite a while. It's kind of hard to believe he didn't have a conversation with his closest aides and trusted circle before this morning or before the emails came out. And why would those so close to him think it would be okay to shut down lanes on a bridge to exact revenge?

To insist he knew nothing makes no sense. This isn't about an agency going rogue doing things at a distance, these are people he has close contact with on a daily basis.

Anyhow, I guess gives us all here some common ground! Conservatives don't like him and he's definitely the biggest threat thus far in 2016 for the Dems.

When it is proven that he had something to do with it (sm) - Not a Christie fan
[ In Reply To ..]
I'll believe he knew.
Oh, I agree. I'm not even saying he had anything to - do with it
[ In Reply To ..]
I just think, knowing how hands-on he is, that he didn't catch a whiff of it somehow.

Yep - the Libs do this all the time - Give ole *******

[ In Reply To ..]
A BIG pass on EVERY stupid, spiteful, ignorant thing Obama does... all the while Obama claims to never know about anything going in his own administration. The Obama debaucle list is endless. Obama needs to grow a pair and could learn a lot from Crhistie. Obama NEVER fired anyone, no matter how badly they performed (can you say Sebellius, Holder, Geithner, Carney and Benghaze, IRS, NSA - just to name a few). Christie wasted no time in setting this right.

deflection. We're talking about Christie, not Obama - and

[ In Reply To ..]
Christie wasted no time in setting this right? This story has been ongoing for months. Now since the evidence is stacked against him via emails he fires people? Like he never had a conversation with his right-hand lady for the last 2 months. He wasted a lot of time. AND he fired her because she "lied" to him, not because of her vengeful action/lane closures. No doubt, knowing the disposition of her boss, and following his lead set forth many times in the past, she knew it would please him.
I'll talk about who I want, when I want - DO NOT NEED YOUR TWISTED OKAY
[ In Reply To ..]
Bottom line, Christie IMMEDIATELY TOOK ACTION - OBAMA NEVER DOES ANYTHING BUT TALK, SPIN, TALK, SPIN, TALK, SPISNK...much like your posts.

Yeah, I am sure you have the nly correct time line...NOT.

I have to agree with this. Obama gives them vacations, - raises or promotions.

Exactly. In the Obama administration, all we hear is (sm) - Abby
[ In Reply To ..]
we're going to get to the bottom of it and hold those responsible accountable, then we hear phony scandals, (this all out of the same lying mouth, mind you), and then the people in question get raises, promotions, vacations to tropical islands, early retirement with pensions intact, etc. etc. Pay attention. Don't just listen to Democrat talking points.

I think he has too many skeletons. - GOP member

His viewpoints are more liberal than conservation - No sweat here

[ In Reply To ..]
I would rather see a true conservative run. Not any politician who calls himself one thing but his voting records and actions indicate another.

No big deal. Many of us were not "hoping" he would run. We just want the best person for the job to run.

:-) This may be one of the very rare instances here where both - sides have

[ In Reply To ..]
somewhat similar "hopes."

Most recent poll (I believe before Bridgegate) showed him leading Hillary by 2 points.

A true conservative works for me!

Christy is/was the GOP's best hope for a win in 2016. nm - VTMT

No he isn't/wasn't - don't know where you get that
[ In Reply To ..]
You might want to try a different news source.

Believe me, he's not the best hope for a win.
Who is? - sm
[ In Reply To ..]
I'm feeling a Karl Rove flashback coming on.
Karl who? He's so far gone. He doesn't represent - sorry to dissapoint - Mrs. Tingles
[ In Reply To ..]
the conservative party just like many democrats don't represent the democrat party. Karl Rove has nothing to do with how many conservative voters vote and what issues are important to us.

There are many many conservatives that I am hopeful for and that have an excellent chance. Right now with what the democrat party has/is doing to the country a lot of people are waking up and are going to be smarter about their choices this fall.

As for who you ask, well I have my hopefuls, but I won't list them here. They are good people, have good voting records and shown they care about the people they represent and is exactly what our country needs, but I'm not going to list them here for liberal fodder and to be trashed for no good reason.

If you are having a flashback I don't know what to tell you. I'm not a trained medical professional, but... :-)
I was speaking figuratively. I'll paint a picture next time. Smiley face back - atcha NM

They are too lazy to read anything but Dem talking points - You will NEVER get an educated
[ In Reply To ..]
Lib on this board. They excuse 4 deaths at Benghaze at the hands of Obama and Hillary playing their political games, IRS abuse, NSA abuse, their buddies and them lying under oath to Congress, deny ever knowing anything, especially Comrade Obama, lying about Obamacare, OBAMA BEING NAMED #1 LIE OF THE YEAR - and all that is okay cause the Dem talking points tells them so.

Christie held a longer press conference today, answered every single question asked of him, which HILLARY AND OBAMA HAVE NEVER DONE.

All this does is underscore the ideological hypocrisy of the Libs - pathetic lot they are.

You only say that because the MSM is pushing this idea. - Easily led? Must learn to think for oneself.

Easily led into what? - sm
[ In Reply To ..]
I'm a Democrat. Why would I be led into anything that has to do with Christie? How could whatever someone is "pushing" (I prefer reporting) influence me when I have no interest in the product?

If you are talking about them reporting that Christie is/was the best GOP hope, from what I see (in multiple media) of the other GOP/TP candidates testing the waters, I have concluded (aka my opinion) the only one currently who has/had a chance is Christie.

With all the other candidates (Rand, Cruz, etc.), I see another frantic Fox "what happened?" moment in the horizon. The dissers of MSM might prepare themselves for that.

But only time will tell!

Do Not Ask Chris Christie Where His Kids Go To SchoolJun 23, 2011
This guy wants to be President? Sheesh! What a nasty man. New Jersey Governor Chis Christie doesn't like it when reporters ask him to provide details on his meetings with Fox News Chairman Roger Ailes.Nor, apparently, is he fond of New Jersey voters asking him seemingly reasonable questions about why he sends his kids to private schools. He made that clear when the subject came up during an appearance on local PBS call-in show On The Line last night. "It's none of your business, ...

Rumors Of Paul Ryan And Chris Christie Joining Pres. RaceAug 16, 2011
Just my opinion, but I think Chris Christie would be better off finishing his term as governor and then running in the next election - I like him, but it's just too soon for him.  Paul Ryan should also think twice about this, as he's not exactly Mr. Popularity, even with some conservatives.  I like him, too, but I don't think he coud garner the support he would need. Thoughts on this - no slams, please. ...

It's all over the news and internet. If this does in fact turn out to be accurate and he did know about the clsoure, this is more proof as noted by the poster below that both sides lie. It's a sad fact of life. That said, Christie was never my GOP frontrunner, but I do hope this doesn't ruin him for good. I am the biggest liberal you'll find, but I'm happy to see Chrstie has taken steps to improve his health. Speculation is he's doing it for political reasons.  As a Democrat, Christie is one of the few Republicans I respect.  He seems to show a genuine interest in the people he serves.  Even though I don't agree with his politics, he didn't allow political consequences to come in the way of showiing Obama respect, and he takes a more common sense approach r ...

No Evidence Seen That Christie Knew Of Traffic Scheme -N.J. DemocratFeb 03, 2014

Romney Thinks FEMA Should Be Disbanded, Gov. Christie No Longer Agrees. SmOct 30, 2012
