Go Christie, go!

Posted: Jun 27, 2013

Let's hope he signs it--I feel that he will. I also feel he'd be a strong Republican candidate for the next presidential election. I wish there were more Republicans that were more like Christie.

Good for him. I'm a conservative with you all the way. - nm

Just Vote Dem - R means nothing

There are more like him, all right . They have (D) behind their names.

No thanks. Not voting for politicians who do nothing for us - Most of them D - however, the one exception

my own governor who is a democrat. He's the only democrat I've read about who truly cares about the people of my state. The rest of them? Well that's why they have a bad reputation. They are only their to enrich their own lives. And yes, of course there are some R's too like that.

When voting time comes I will look at each candidate and see what they have done and their ideas for helping the people in the country and getting the economy back on track. if they have done good things I will vote for them and I don't care what letter they have after their name. Right now my own governor is the only one who has my support.

I disagree with your statement because you make it sound like all d's are good and all r's are bad. That's just an incorrect assessment. We need to stop telling people to vote all d or all r. vote for the person who best represents you. Right now I don't see many ds or rs doing that. After all, why should they. They are there to take care of themselves. That's all that matters to them. Democrats are cutting down bills that would help us and I'm sick of it all.

NJ Gov. Christie Vetoes PP FundingFeb 10, 2011
Long time responder, first time poster on this board.  I've got NJA again and finding myself bored.  Anyhow, this has a bee in my bonnet for a variety of different reasons. New Jersey Gov. Christie Vetoes Planned Parenthood Funding Last week anti abortion radicals revealed a heavily edited film that they claimed showed a staffer at a Planned Parenthood clinic in Perth Amboy, New Jersey, advising a pimp on how to obtain abortion services for his underage prostitutes. As ABC not ...

Christie Apparently Did Know About GWB Closure.Jan 31, 2014
It's all over the news and internet. If this does in fact turn out to be accurate and he did know about the clsoure, this is more proof as noted by the poster below that both sides lie. It's a sad fact of life. That said, Christie was never my GOP frontrunner, but I do hope this doesn't ruin him for good. It appears he's done some good things for NJ, so let's hope that will continue if the people there want him to stay in office. ...

Do Not Ask Chris Christie Where His Kids Go To SchoolJun 23, 2011
This guy wants to be President? Sheesh! What a nasty man. New Jersey Governor Chis Christie doesn't like it when reporters ask him to provide details on his meetings with Fox News Chairman Roger Ailes.Nor, apparently, is he fond of New Jersey voters asking him seemingly reasonable questions about why he sends his kids to private schools. He made that clear when the subject came up during an appearance on local PBS call-in show On The Line last night. "It's none of your business, ...

I Thought Christie Looked Different. He Had Lap-band!May 07, 2013
I am the biggest liberal you'll find, but I'm happy to see Chrstie has taken steps to improve his health. Speculation is he's doing it for political reasons.  As a Democrat, Christie is one of the few Republicans I respect.  He seems to show a genuine interest in the people he serves.  Even though I don't agree with his politics, he didn't allow political consequences to come in the way of showiing Obama respect, and he takes a more common sense approach r ...

No Evidence Seen That Christie Knew Of Traffic Scheme -N.J. DemocratFeb 03, 2014
REUTERS,  February 2, 2014:  A New Jersey Democrat leading a probe of the bridge traffic scandal that has engulfed Governor Chris Christie said on Sunday he has seen no evidence to support claims that the governor had been aware of the apparently politically motivated traffic jams as they happened.  The remarks by Assemblyman John Wisniewski, who co-leads the probe, came two days after a former Christie appointee at the agency overseeing the bridge who personally oversaw the lan ...

Romney Thinks FEMA Should Be Disbanded, Gov. Christie No Longer Agrees. SmOct 30, 2012
I'm glad FEMA is here in the Northeast. We have a lot of damage here and a lot of people without power.  Funny how Gov. Christie changed his opinion about FEMA being disbanded after New Jersey got hit with Hurricaine Sandy/Superstorm.  Well, not really funny.  He apparently saw the light. So, if you live in New England or the Eastern seaboard are you still voting for Romney?  You think your state can handle a major disaster by itself?  Think again. ...

Rumors Of Paul Ryan And Chris Christie Joining Pres. RaceAug 16, 2011
Just my opinion, but I think Chris Christie would be better off finishing his term as governor and then running in the next election - I like him, but it's just too soon for him.  Paul Ryan should also think twice about this, as he's not exactly Mr. Popularity, even with some conservatives.  I like him, too, but I don't think he coud garner the support he would need. Thoughts on this - no slams, please. ...
