Governor Christie will be on FOX with Megyn Kelly tomorrow at 9 pm Eastern time.

Well, that sounds like a good thing. - sm

I mean, I don't think anyone wants someone unjustly implicated in a crime.

You don't think so? - Many of the Democrats would love it.

The New York Daily News has a different take on it. - sm

In something not shocking at all, lawyers hired by the Christie administration cleared the governor of blame for Bridgegate, pointing the finger instead at his former aides who were fired. Now Christie wants the world to believe he's clean.

Vindicated by a lawyer he hired that NJ taxpayers paid a million dollars for. Waiting for the other reports to come out.

Exactly - A whitewash for Gov. Christie - sm

Lawyers hired by Gov. Chris Christie of New Jersey at public expense issued their findings Thursday on the traffic jams at the George Washington Bridge in September, apparently engineered as a bizarre form of political revenge. To no one’s surprise, Mr. Christie’s lawyers have found his hands to be clean. He was without fault, they declared. This glossy political absolution cost the taxpayers of New Jersey more than $1 million in legal fees.

If the Times had any proof, they wouldn't need to - publish garbage like this.

There was a time when most educated citizens could distinguish factual material in the media from obvious hatchet pieces.

I guess that day is over. There's nothing here except the utterly unfounded assumption that no one has any ethics, and they will lie to please whoever hired them.

Of course, this IS true of the NY Times. However, it is NOT true of professionals like these lawyers who have their own reputations to consider. If they "whitewash" Christie and then the SLIGHTEST evidence of his involvement comes out, guess who would be smeared? Right.

I hire consultants for another business that I own. I hire them to tell me what I'm doing wrong, and what I could do better. Guess what? THEY TELL ME THINGS I DON'T WANT TO HEAR, despite the fact that I AM PAYING THEM.

The populace of this country really does need to go back to school and learn how to THINK instead of LEAPING TO CONCLUSIONS.

I guess the above posts reflect the spinners. - sm

[ In Reply To ..]
Whatever the spin, the outcome is the same. He had no part in this.

I like the name Cnris Krispy. That's cute!

Christie was not vindicated - sm

A lawyer, chosen by Christie, claims Christie had no involvement. That is not vindication. Vindication requires proof. That claim holds as much water as one made by any attorney who has been retained by someone suspected of wrongdoing.

It's not a vindication. It's a 300-some page - sm

million dollar TAXPAYER-paid letter of recommendation, coincidentally released just a day or two before Christie was scheduled to meet with a billionaire in Las Vegas to kiss his ring and hope for M-O-N-E-Y to purchase the 2016 Presidential election.

If Adelson gives him 2 million (a very LOW figure for Adelson), then maybe Christie will repay the taxpayers of New Jersey the million bucks it cost for this letter of recommendation.

This is so transparent, it's almost funny.

I agree that Christie is innocent of this. - sm

The left wing media machine is attempting to keep the story alive to take focus away from the innumerable failures and scandals associated with the B.O. administration, i.e., classic deflection.

As far as the taxpayer money spent for his defense that the left keeps bringing up, we just may have to spend days or weeks or months or years to find financial fraud, misuse of funds or wasteful spending with the Democratic party. Let's see, the first thing that comes to mind is the cost of Nancy Pelosi's office suite in San Francisco to the tune of approximately $18,000 PER MONTH, this while the Democrats go into sequester lying and kicking and screaming that this has to be cut or that has to be cut. Let's close the White House to visitors. Let's cut back on what the seniors and military receive. But let's send M.O. to China for a vacation with her daughters and mother and an entourage of 72 and let's let them stay in hotels that cost $8000 per night. Okay, enough of that deflection and back to the point.

Bring a faux scandal to Chris Christie and expect him to pay out of his own pocket to defend himself against the hacks? No, I don't think so...LOL...Don't you love justice in America?

It's all over the news and internet. If this does in fact turn out to be accurate and he did know about the clsoure, this is more proof as noted by the poster below that both sides lie. It's a sad fact of life. That said, Christie was never my GOP frontrunner, but I do hope this doesn't ruin him for good. I am the biggest liberal you'll find, but I'm happy to see Chrstie has taken steps to improve his health. Speculation is he's doing it for political reasons.  As a Democrat, Christie is one of the few Republicans I respect.  He seems to show a genuine interest in the people he serves.  Even though I don't agree with his politics, he didn't allow political consequences to come in the way of showiing Obama respect, and he takes a more common sense approach r ...

Romney Thinks FEMA Should Be Disbanded, Gov. Christie No Longer Agrees. SmOct 30, 2012
I'm glad FEMA is here in the Northeast. We have a lot of damage here and a lot of people without power.  Funny how Gov. Christie changed his opinion about FEMA being disbanded after New Jersey got hit with Hurricaine Sandy/Superstorm.  Well, not really funny.  He apparently saw the light. So, if you live in New England or the Eastern seaboard are you still voting for Romney?  You think your state can handle a major disaster by itself?  Think again. ...
