An example of his thin skin - in need of anger management?

Posted: Sep 18, 2013

He is unbelievable.  His own kind (Democrats) are catching on.  It's too bad he's had a free pass for over 5 years.  The media should have confronted him head on.  Can you imagine what he must be like when he goes home at night?

This kind of thing is why you're so shocked and horrified - when you keep finding you've been

been horribly wrong. Such as when this terrible anti-colonialist person was elected and reelected.

Did your search for delusion by any chance lead you by a recent Gallop poll revealing that

76% of Americans LIKE him,

and even with all the negative press that comes to EVERY presidency with the second-term doldrums (the president doesn't change, the press gets bored and cranky),

58% believe he displays good judgment in crisis,

56% believe he understands the problems Americans face, and

55% believe he is honest and trustworthy.

You will, of course, either choose to believe it's all lies and reject it RIGHT NOW, or you'll uneasily suspect it might be true but quickly (A MINUTE FROM NOW) compartmentalize it out of existence.

But you have been warned, yet again - there is a different reality out there.

Why don't you link us up to the Gallup poll you speak of? - I'd love to see it.

Because she is trying to be misleading. Link to CURRENT job approval. - anon

From that poll mentioned (from July): "Although Americans rate President Barack Obama highest on being likable (76%) among a set of personal characteristics, those views are not strongly related to their overall approval of the job he is doing as president"

Suspected as much. This is more like it. - Thanks

What's horribly wrong are your fictitious numbers - sm

[ In Reply To ..]
You're just throwing out numbers, but have nothing to back them up. I've been searching and searching and can't find this. You cite Gallop, but don't put a link to where you claim you got these figures. Intentionally maybe? So did a bit of research:

Obama's job approval 45% approve, 51% disapprove.

Approval ratings on handling foreign affairs 42% (low)

Displays good judgment in a crisis - 56% (you used old numbers. On purpose? Most likely).

Can manage effectively - 47%

Has a clear plan for solving the country's problems - 38.

As for likes - who cares who likes him. Many people like Miley Cyrus, Lady Gaga and the Kardashians.

I also read an article that said while people may like Obama they also say he's not a great president.

Also Bush had a 65% likeability rating at some point too.

As for me, I don't care whether or not someone is "likeable". I want someone who is competent and who knows how to get the job done. I want someone with experience.

Don't know what you are "warning" people about, but yeah, there is a different reality out there. You might want to find it.

What do people who are defined by their hatred of minorities do if/when they admit they are themselves a minority, and a disreputable one at that? Deny, deny, deny. Or self-destruct?

I don't see anywhere here where Obama was enraged. - please clarify

[ In Reply To ..]
It was liberal media personalities that seem to have anger and frustration in this article you linked to. Please cite where Obama has anger management problems.

HE wasn't of course. What fun is venom kept - bottled up for the chronically enraged? nm

his own kind - did you really say that?

[ In Reply To ..]
I'm sure you might want to argue that you just meant democrats, but you said more than that. And you didn't hide it well.

I'm still trying to figure out how this link has anything to do with - sm

what Obama is like when he goes home at night.

It's really not even a story about him, but reaction to him by the media... the liberal media that is beat up constantly on this board. I guess it's only worth celebrating and posting when it's something they want to hear.

Well, the hard right has hated, really hated Democrats - for a very long time. We are

[ In Reply To ..]
destroying the world, after all, in league with Satan, the whole bit--whatever villification they wanted to justify and build on such enmity, and, I might add, the measures they would take against us...if they only could.

It's impossible to to comprehend how they think, but those who respond to everyone who is different with fear and hate are always among us.

The problem with this era is that they're able to find each other in greater numbers and have shucked off the influence of the more balanced people around them.

"his own kind?" - nm

Adept Word ManagementJul 31, 2016
If anyone is thinking of working for Adept Word Management, I would highly recommend you look elsewhere. I worked for her for a while and she gave me the runaround about getting paid and it took months. I stopped working for her for a few months. She contacted me again and said that she had a client that would pay immediately and so I got screwed again. It's been months to get paid and she's giving me the runaround again. Now she says I owe her money! Very unprofessional and unorganize ...

What A Thin Skinned Complete Idiot Trump IsOct 20, 2016
The thing that got me is I was interested to hear what Hillary (and Donald - about Social Security, NOT how nasty Hillary is!) was saying. It is a worry for us that they will try to play around with what they call "entitlements" - what I call my major retirement income - and you really want to know what they plan for that. From the debate: Clinton: "I am on record as saying we need to put more money into the Social Security trust fund," Clinton said. "That's part of my commitment to raise ...

More Undocumented Workers (AKA Illegal Aliens) Moving Into ManagementMar 27, 2015
A growing number of undocumented immigrants are landing managerial positions. At the same time, fewer are doing jobs that require manual labor. Some 13% of undocumented immigrants had management or professional jobs in 2012, up from 10% in 2007, according to a new Pew Research Center report. Meanwhile, 29% held construction or production posts, such as a food processor, garment worker or machinist, down from 34% in 2007. The transition reflects a shift within the undocumented populat ...

AngerAug 17, 2010
I have a history since childhood of abuse from my sister.  At times she is the nicest person, and the next week she is the opposite.  I have self multilated and have had many years of counseling in the past.  My problem is that I have finally made the decision that I will have no more to do with her, except for times when the whole family gets together.   I won't give my family up for her, but I would rather never see her again.  She has thrown me out of her li ...

Getting Over AngerAug 29, 2013
Several weeks ago there was an incident (too long and too much detail to go into here) with a family member and myself.  It was a bad fight and some bad things said on both sides.   I did not start it, but defended myself.   Now the instigator of the fight involved her two children, and they ambushed me the other day when they nicely invited me to their home to "discuss things."  They were rude, and one was actually mocking me.  I am seeing a therapist, which I ...

Life Love Regret AngerJul 13, 2010
Almost 20 years ago I was in a serious relationship with a real "catch".  This guy is beautiful, physically and his heart too.  He was self-employed, had a huge house, a boat, was independently well to do.  We dated for a looonggg time, 8+ months.  He was great with my kids, he met my family, I met his and everything was great.  He talked marriage, love, houses, life together, adopting (a child together as I cannot have anymore), said all the right things all t ...

Skin IssuesFeb 23, 2011
Well, we're all pretty much feeling the economic squeeze and I'very decided I need to find a more economical line of skin care products (I have sensitive skin and have been using Cetaphil cleanser with creme de la mer toner and the creme de la mer moisturizing cream for ages).  I don't know if its because my skin is just supersensitive or so used to these high-end toners and moisturizers that they just go haywire when I try something new and more economic.  I'd bee ...

Help With Skin Issue, PleaseJul 26, 2011
I've never had this before, but on my forehead and spreading to a small part of my cheek, near my mouth and on one side of my nose I've developed seborrheic keratosis.  My PCP told me to use a very mild cleanser and hydrocortisone cream x3 daily, but it really doesn't seem to be helping much.  The spots get warm to the touch and itchy and are really getting more and more difficult to cover when I have to go out. Has anyone else had this and found something a bit more he ...

What Phrases Just Get Under Your Skin?Oct 26, 2013

Skin Tag AdviceMar 24, 2015
Have a skin tag located on my neck.  It was red and inflammed looking for the last couple of weeks.  This a.m. it has turned white and is just hanging on by a thin thread.  Collar of my shirt(s) keep rubbing against it.  Friend told me to pull it off.  I don't think I can do that.  Put a band-aid over it.  Hesitant to pull it off as I am a diabetic.   Don't have an extra money to go to a doctor.  Anybody else have tihs experi ...

Followup On My Skin CancerJan 11, 2010
Well, I had my surgery on New Year's Eve, and came away with an 8 cm incision wrapping around my dorsal forearm.  I got the pathology back and it was a well differentiated squamous cell carcinoma, 3 x 3.5 cm, all margins clear.  Right now looking at the incision it's hard to imagine that he's correct when he says it will eventually be just a very thin white line.  It looks like someone tried to cut my arm off.  I have to go back every three months for a recheck ...

Question About Rx Skin ProductNov 30, 2011
I was complaining to my doc about fine lines, crow's feet/smiles lines, and the beginnings of those "marionette" lines (nasolabial fold area) and was inquiring about botox or a filler.  He told me I wasn't ready for that yet and instead prescribed Retin A gel.  He said faithful use of this, starting judiciously and then increasing, would provide visible reduction in about 8-12 weeks.  I've heard that Retin A (even the microgel) can be really harsh on the skin ...

Hypothyroidism And Skin IssuesApr 09, 2011
I have hypothyroidism, but not taking any medications.  Part of my problem is my face and skin.  Under my eyes is always flaky (like psoriasis) and I've got pimples that are breaking out all over my face, but they are not like the pimples of my youth (without getting gross about how I used to get rid of them), now when I try to pop them nothing happens and they get bigger and redder and they hurt.  The skin on my face is normal but my forehead is normal to oily and the areas ...

No More Brittle Hair Or Dry Skin.Sep 20, 2010
If any of you have problems with brittle hair and dry skin, try a shower filter.  The water in your shower is filled with chemicals, minerals, and the same or more amount of chlorine as swimming pool water.  I just purchased an Aquasana shower filter.  In less than 1 week, I have noticed a tremendous difference in the softness of my hair and skin.  It is like showering in pure spring water.  There is no way I would ever go back to using plain shower water again!  ...

What Skin Products Do You Ladies Use?Feb 04, 2013
I have older (40) skin that is acne prone. I'm looking for a skin product that doesn't over dry as acne products can sometimes do because my skin is older and now wrinkle prone too. I use neutrogena moisturizer, aveeno dry skin oatmeal bar, and retin A. I only wear foundation maybe once or twice a week (neutrogena). I know it's the products that are causing me to break out because I used to use Rhonda Allison and didn't break out, my skin looked great, however, Rhonda All ...

The Skin Rash That Refuses To DieApr 16, 2016
Anyone got good skin rash remedies?  I've had a rash on my left forearm for several YEARS.... it waxes and wanes, but is always dry and plaque-like.  Very similar to psoriasis, but my arthritis is osteo, not inflammatory, so I'm pretty sure it's just some form of eczema.  It's sometimes dry and scaly, sometimes weepy (especially when I scratch too much) and has become scarred as a result. I've tried everything:  Cortisone creams, dry skin creams, ant ...

Ever Have Your Skin Feel Hot And Dry Like Getting A Sunburn, But You Have Been Indoors All DayAug 12, 2010
Ok, this is weird.  Never had this feeling before, but I am getting up in years, so maybe it is just old age taking it toll.    I am sitting in my living room, lights off, 3 fans going.  We are in the middle of a heat-wave. Over 90 degrees outside, heat index over 100, humidity unbelievable.  I live in an old house with old wiring.  We tried window air conditioners, but could only use 1 at a time and only for a certain number of hours before it started blowing fus ...

Okay Ladies, What Kind Of Skin Care Regimen Do You Use?Sep 29, 2011
I looking for a new skin care regimen.  I'm 44 and have a round, chubby face which I used to hate, but now realize it has prevented me from getting a lot of wrinkles.  I have a few fine lines around my eyes and those parentheses around my mouth, if you know what I mean.  I'm looking for something to prevent future wrinkles and to work on what I have.  I have freckles and have sun damaged my skin when I was younger, so my skin is blotchy without makeup. What Are Some Of Your Favorite Hair/skin/makeup Products?Mar 20, 2012
Right now I am really loving Renpure's hair products.  I've been using their shampoo and conditioner (and have gotten 3 compliments on the health of my hair), but only just recently tried their Argan oil treatment.  LOVE. White House Unloads Anger Over Criticism From "Professional Left"Aug 10, 2010
White House unloads anger over criticism from 'professional left’ By Sam Youngman - 08/10/10 06:00 AM ET The White House is simmering with anger at criticism from liberals who say President Obama is more concerned with deal-making than ideological purity. During an interview with The Hill in his West Wing office, White House press secretary Robert Gibbs blasted liberal naysayers, whom he said would never regard anything the president did as good enough. “I hear these ...
