Salmon recipes

I love the recipes i get off of here. Growing up, I had a friend that I would go to her house and her mom would make salmon croquets, my mom never made them. I tried to make some once and they didn't turn out so good. I looked up recipes, but there are so many variations, so does anyone have a good recipe. Also, the can of salmon that I bought had all of these bones in them and it took forever to clean them out. Is there a type you can buy with no bones and if not, any easy way of getting them out? TIA.

When I open a can of salmon, I gently turn the can upside down and slide the salmon out into the bowl. Using a fork, I scrape as much of the black skin/fat off as I can. I then use the fork to lift the sections of salmon in half and remove the bones. I can usually get most of the vertebrae off intact and then use the fork to kind of scrape the rib bones off.
Actually, if you can palate the bones in your salmon patties, they are an excellent source of calcium and totally edible, though I really don't care to eat them.
