Casey's parents do not believe she is innocent.

Posted: Jun 23, 2011

Would it take you this long to realize your psycho lying daughter was not innocent.  Cindy testified she was still looking for Zanny the nanny up until 6 weeks ago.

;

Dont judge the parents without being in their shoes. - I get tired of people making them villians

[ In Reply To ..]
Sure, maybe there were plenty of things they should of realized, but being Casey's parents, there was probably a lot of denial going on. I feel for them. They have lost so much...I dont think we need to rub salt in the wounds.

They know she is guilty... - how can they not?

[ In Reply To ..]
They are equally as culpable as Casey. They knew who they were dealing with. The first time Casey could not come up with the baby, they should have called the police. What grandparents who are so involved with their granddaughter would not know the nanny. How did they think she was paying a nanny? Just ridiculous. If that were my MIL she would have had the National Guard out looking for her grandchildren day one, certainly not wait 30 days. Cindy and George Anthony make as sick as Casey does. They know she killed the baby, yet continue to defend her. If my kid did something like that to my grandchild, there would be no need for a trial, I would have to take care of it myself.

LOL I agree completely about - Casey's parents role

[ In Reply To ..]
On top of everything else the parents knew about Casey, they knew she was stealing from them and from her grandparents. They knew she was lying because Lee knew thru FB Casey was not out of town with Caylee during the 31 days before Cindy finally hunted Casey down.

I believe there would have been a different outcome for Caylee if the parents called Casey out on her theft and lies before the child was murdered.

As far as Zanny, I would have wanted an emergency phone number for Zanny from Casey if I were the grandmother.

The whole thing is so maddening because I think the parents enabled Casey to continue a life of lies when they should have known better. I think they are the type of people who didn't want to face the reality that they raised a monster until she brought George and Lee into her drama by accusing them of incest.

Well, from what I understand (and I know this - because I have SM

[ In Reply To ..]
followed this case since the beginning, read all the documents, involved in forums, etc.) Casey used to take Caylee away from the home whenever there was an argument, confrontation, anything that she did not like or want to deal with. This was her M.O. so to speak. Her parents (and especially her mother)knew this is what would happen if they dared to challenge her. When she didn't come home on 06/16, Cindy probably figured it was same thing going on. I dont' know if you know this, but Lee told Jessie Grund (Casey's ex-fiance) that there was a verbal fight between Casey and Cindy on the night of 06/15, which escalated to Cindy putting her hands around Casey's neck. She was that angry and frustrated about the fact that Casey had stolen money from Cindy's grandfather's account that was paying for his nursing home care. She had just found this out when she went to visit for Father's day. Cindy told Lee (Casey's brother), Lee told Jessie, and Jessie told the police. Couldn't come into trial because it would be hearsay, Cindy would never admit to it. It took a while before Cindy started realizing this was different than usual.

Not rubbing salt, just a dose of reality. - Lesson for parents with a kid like Casey.

[ In Reply To ..]
I see kids all the time who are catered to in spite of bad behavior because parents don't want to face the fact their kid is devious, a brat, has bad manners or a lack of self control. They chalk it up to "kids will be kids" but there are certain behaviors that are beyond kids being kids and stealing and lying, bullying, lack of conscience is not typical kid behavior. I am betting Casey's parents just wrote off her lies and stealing as typical and were not making any issues until the granddaughter turned up missing.

You are "betting" yet you know nothing. How - impressive... not. nm

Saying she did the google searches for chlorform. Poor woman, whole family is so dysfunctional, but my heart goes out to them, Caylee dead and trying to protect Casey from death penalty. Rock and a hard place.

why are they trying to protect her from death penalty? - dont understand

[ In Reply To ..]
If some man broke in and drugged Caylee with chloroform and then dumped her in the woods, they would want him on death row... why not her? A murderer is a murderer!

If my daughter murdered my granddaughter, I would absolutely pursue her getting the death penalty. I would not ever want her on the streets to be able to do that to another child or anyone else. I guess I dont enable my kids though...

RE: Don't understand - how could you

[ In Reply To ..]
It's real easy to judge and dole out the "what I would do in that situation" since YOU ARE NOT.

It is ignorant to say at this point in your life what you would do and wouldn't do in a similar situation. Don't you think that they as parents WANTED to believe their daughter had only the best intentions for her child? Of course they did! You think it was an easy pill to swallow, the more and more their daughter lied to them? Of course it wasn't and isn't still! Their daughter is responsible and they are wrecked!

If this was the dark ages I think ya'll would be out their with stones to kill the parents as well! bottom line is: no matter how it is presented to US, bystanders receiving all of our information from the media, WE DON'T KNOW ANYTHING that was going on in their heads and hearts.

Let it ride, let the chips fall where they may. It is in the hands of the court now and thats all I have to say.

I can't stand the "couch juror" and the "if it was me"... ignorant.
Right on. sm. - Anon
[ In Reply To ..]
Yes. No one knows what they would do, God forbid, if they were in the same situation.
Only a fool given the Anthony circumstances - would not know what they would do.
[ In Reply To ..]
I don't want anything to do with a cold-blooded murderer and it has nothing to do with if I am related to them or not. Who knows, maybe George and Cindy will be the next victims. If she can kill her little child, Casey sure wouldn't mind killing anyone else who crossed her. That's how I feel about anyone capable of murder. I could be next on their twisted agenda.
Quit judging other posters for their opinion. - Can't stand internet judges.
[ In Reply To ..]
If it was me, and my daughter killed an innocent, helpless, beloved granddaughter I would be capable of walking away from her evilness forever. That is FACT.

The whole family is a bunch of fools and their life is pretty much in the toilet thanks to Casey whose life they want to preserve and are willing to cover for her.

Prosecutor livid. - anon

[ In Reply To ..]
Well, the female prosecutor was livid at Cindy saying she did the searches, her work records reflect different - indicating she was at work and not at home on puter when searches were done. Perhaps they want to protect her because she is obviously mentally ill. If she would have just admitted she chloroformed her to get her to sleep, as terrible and heinous as that is, this would not be death penalty trial, IMO. It's so narcissistic to cost the state so much money, inconvenience so many people, on and on.
Just thought maybe Cindy is going to take the fall - she can be charged for death of Caylee
[ In Reply To ..]
What a foolish lady. Anybody notice in spite of all the pain and suffering Cindy is going through she managed to get a really nice tan and is wearing a sleeveless dress to show off.

The Casey apple doesn't fall far from the Cindy tree.

It is SO hot and humid in Florida we all wear sleeveless too, whether we have tans or not.

I guess you're supposed to lock yourself in a closet when you are going through something as devastating as this. I only have sympathy for the woman, unconditionally.
I live in Florida and so does my brother. Too hot. - Only tourists get tan.
[ In Reply To ..]
Try baking yourself on the beach in 100 degrees plus on a summer day. Wonder if Cindy goes swimming in the pool Caylee reportedly drowned in.
boo hiss boo hiss - boo hiss boo hiss
[ In Reply To ..]
and not ONLY tourists get tans. We've lived in Florida all our lives and ENJOY the beach and the streams and glades EVERY summer.

BOO HISS on your pool remark ONE MORE TIME!
Only fools expose themselves to the sun in summer. - melanoma much?
[ In Reply To ..]
Yes we go out in the sun but not without sunblock and certainly not sunbathing.

Cindy cares about what she looks like just like Casey. Cindy and Casey both lie. Can't wait to hear what George comes up with. If I were him and not an accomplice as Casey and Baez say he is (plus an incestuous child molester), I would be ready for a mistress or another suicide attempt after listening to that shrew Cindy lie on the stand to protect her evil daughter.

Funny how Lee seems to be distancing himself from the family. Maybe he is the only sane person in the Anthony family. (He's not out tanning himself for court appearances.)
Wow. You are Judge and Jury, happy much? nm - anon
[ In Reply To ..]
x
I'm happy thanks. Judge and jury? No but - I hear the same thing they do.
[ In Reply To ..]
Casey will still get prison time. Don't forget the child still died and was hidden in a plastic bag in a dump. There is no Zanny the nanny so who killed the child? Who had motive?

If she drowned why didn't someone call 911? Why not give her a proper burial? Why did Casey sit in jail accused of murder for 3 years and not tell someone about the drowning before now?

Why would Cindy cover for someone as evil as to kill a child and place the body in garbage bags and dump it in the wood while Casey went partying?

See these are all the things the jury and judge are hearing and fortunately because Florida is a sunshine state, the public is hearing all the evidence also so we all become the jury. And we all judge based many factors including Cindy's presentation after Casey accused her son and husband of sexual molestation of a minor child after Casey's lies are exposed and she is accused of murder of Cindy's granddaughter.

You know after today watching Cindy, I want to take a shower. She is disgusting. She is a liar. I can't imagine how George must feel, unless he proves to be as much of a liar as Cindy and Casey are. If not, I get why he was suicidal and why he hooked up with another woman, although after his Cindy and Casey female experience I am surprised he didn't hook up with a guy.
I agree with you .sm - Anon
[ In Reply To ..]
I agree with you. I put the posts up above about the narcissistic behavior especially Casey has. I think Zanny the nanny might actually be "Xanny (Xanax), the nanny. There is 1 little shread of truth in every fabrication she has made up.

I do, however, think it is a tragic, tragic thing. I think it was an accident because she was trying to get Caylee to sleep with chloroform, and should just come clean with the truth, but she would not know the truth if it bit her on the arm. I don't think she will get death penalty because she is crazy. I don't personally "like" Cindy either, but my heart aches for her. Call me a fool again, but you cannot judge unless you walk a mile in someone's shoes.
I repeat, given the circumstance presented to Cindy. - Don't need to walk in her shoes.
[ In Reply To ..]
I would never perjure myself to protect a cold-blooded murderer who could kill an innocent helpless child.

It's not just that Casey "accidentally" killed her daughter by chloroform, it's that she had no remorse and not only that partied for the next 31 days. To me that is repulsive.

I can guarantee you this. Given the circumstances presented in court if my daughter killed my granddaughter and partied and lied, my shoes know exactly what they would do and that is to help the prosecution put her in prison forever. No question about it. I wouldn't even second guess on what to do. I would do the right thing and try to keep such an evil person out of society.
pete and repeat - you can't know that
[ In Reply To ..]
so then lets go a step further. WHAT IF indeed Casey is mentally unstable and whatever happened happened because she was incapable of making solid and rational choices... Lets them say this was your daughter, a mentally challenged person who could not function normally. Lock them up? To me it is obvious that she is concieted, narcissistic and all wrapped up in herself and her selfishness may indeed have cost her child's life, but as the mother of a severely mentally ill child that really doesn't know how to act in public sometimes (often) YOU CANNOT SAY what you would do in her shoes.
REPEAT if any adult relative can kill a helpless child - without remorse or conscience
[ In Reply To ..]
I will do my best to institutionalize that person. I don't want them to have the opportunity to kill again and if they have no remorse or conscious, they WILL kill again.

I would never protect a person, mentally ill or not, blood relative or not, so they can go out to kill another person.

Anyone who can lie because the person they want to protect is a relative is as sick as the person they are trying to protect.

In particular, I think Cindy has been dazed, confused and in denial for a long, long, time and probably enabled her daughter to the point she did murder Caylee because no one ever questioned her or confronted her. Casey got over on her mother for years and even after Casey's lies and lack of conscious were laid out for Cindy by the detectives and lawyers after she was arrested Cindy still believed Casey's story about Zanny. Maybe it comes from pride and maybe it comes from stupidity but at this point if Cindy achieves her goal and gets Casey a not guilty verdict because she lied on the stand to protect Casey, I can only hope Cindy is Casey's next victim.
re: REPEAT - Bud
[ In Reply To ..]
You hope Cidy is Casey's next victim??? How sweet. I wish it was illegal for people like you to walk the streets, the openly violent and wishing for murder to avenge your insults... What a horrible, horrible, HORRIBLE person you are.

don't respond please. I'm afraid you'll come a gunnin' for me! lol!
Better Cindy than an innocent child. Casey murdered Caylee - Cindy knows it yet wants Casey free.
[ In Reply To ..]
If Cindy manages to get a not guilty for her narcissistic daughter because she lied on the witness stand, better Cindy be Casey's next victim than some innocent bystander who may get in Casey's way that she needs to eliminate.
If she was trying to look pretty - Floridian
[ In Reply To ..]
for court appearances, there would be a lot more she might take advantage of. I mean, she doesn't even wear makeup...

And Cindy has been this skin tone ever since she's been making appearances from the very beginning (when the baby went missing). I don't think she's tanning for court apperances.

What difference does it make anyhow?
Cindy's tan is out of vanity. Just like Casey - changing hair style for court.
[ In Reply To ..]
I get it all now. They are both liars and they are both vain. They competed with each other for everything including Caylee. Caylee lost and Casey and Cindy continue their lies and vanity. Sweet.

BTW appearances mean a lot to the jury. That's why Casey doesn't come to court in her jail uniform, handcuffs and shackles.
I'll repeat myself - Floridian
[ In Reply To ..]
Cindy does not look any different than she did years ago when this all started. If she was vain, she'd pack on some makeup and look MUCH more attractive.

As for Casey, I think her hair does her no favors. Makes her look severe and just plain bad (as in evil...). A softer short cut would be much better. And way too much eye makeup. And I do agree that Casey is very vain, but I get that more from the stuff, pics, etc. after Caylee went missing, and the jailhouse videos.

I just find it unnecessary for outsiders to blame the parents, unless the defense allegations are true. This is all Casey, IMO. It is possible for good parents to raise a bad seed through no culpable fault of their own.

I think the prosecution would have been better off not putting so much emphasis on the chloroform as the murder weapon and just concentrating on the duct tape.

Between Casey's obvious lies and the duct tape, that's a good case. They are just giving the defense unnecedssary amunition to score points.

One more point, why don't the male witnesses get critized for wearing expensive suits? Everyone wants to look respectable, but really, just because the woman has a tan?
Because she is female. sm - anon
[ In Reply To ..]
I don't recall so much conversation about how O.J. or Robert Blake had their hair, or their clothing. Wonder why that is?
but seriously how can you just make snap judgements based on how she looks - thats just plain stupid
[ In Reply To ..]
If she were just a gal walking the streets or another gal in a reality show would you think that she had "evil" eyes, "severe" looks? These statements are based entirely on your personal feelings toward her given what has happened.

The fact of the matter is she is NOT an ugly woman and well, her mom looks like a mom... Looks will play little in the final decision.
what I meant was - Floridian
[ In Reply To ..]
In the context of the thread, Cindy trying to impress the jury with her tan (absurd in the first place), I was just making a reference to what the jury's impression of Casey's physical appearance might be, responding to the previous poster that they improved her appearance.

And, yes, if I saw her on the street, I might think she had a "severe" look, even if she was a librarian. Just a physical description. Looks do not define a person's soul. I was not saying she looked this way, therefore she is.

I know lawyers do try to present their defendants (and sometimes witnesses, if under their control) in a good light. I was just saying it was my impression they might have done things a little differently if the jury is going to be looking at her day in and day out.

I was just commenting to the subject of the thread. I know looks will play little in the final decision in this case. That was kind my point in the first place a few posts back.

...gosh should have known better than to get wrapped up with this thread... work computer crashed and I was left to my own devices... shoulda cleaned out a closet or something!!
Duct - Tape
[ In Reply To ..]
The Prosecution is attempting to prove to the jury that the duct tape (three pieces) was the murder weapon.

That's what I was thinking - (sm)
[ In Reply To ..]
I haven't been able to watch as much as I would like of the trial, but I was pretty sure I had heard a couple of people say that the prosecution's case involves the duct tape as the murder weapon. I guess, then, their theory is that the chloroform was used only to knock Caylee out so she could party or do whatever on a regular basis but that it did not kill her and the duct tape did kill her, whether intentional or not.

It's the death penalty only because of the duct tape issue. - Anon
[ In Reply To ..]
not because of the chloroform, etc. State believes Caylee was alive when duct tape was applied, thus the death penalty comes into play.

Guess you can see how Casey learned to lie. - What a joke on the taxpayers who want justice.

[ In Reply To ..]
The whole family is a bunch of liars and losers who have wasted taxpayer money, not to mention how they made fools of the people who spent time searching for Caylee. The whole friggin family is crazy and I think they should all be forced to live together in the dump/ snake infested area Caylee was found in. They are disgusting, the lot of the Anthony family. George and his mistress, his suicide attempt, Cindy and her lies and aggressiveness, psycho Casey and Loser Lee who Casey accused of molesting her. The Anthony family consists of weasels, rats and snakes in human form.

Tell me lies - Tell me sweet little lies.

[ In Reply To ..]
I wonder if the Prosecution will attempt to prove that Cindy perjured herself, claiming that she Googled the chloroform. Cindy has been on talk shows. Despite all the accusations/insinuations that Casey Googled chloroform, Cindy very conveniently failed to mention that she was Googling chloroform? I wonder why this loving grandmother chose to implicate her own daughter by withholding the "truth" about who Googled the chloroform? Very interesting...
