The President May Be In Trouble

Posted: Apr 26, 2012

The President May be in Trouble. This is probably the most refreshing news since Obama took office. I hope and pray that it comes to pass. Obama May Be In Deep Trouble with Chief Justice John Roberts, U.S. Supreme Court. According to sources who watch the inner workings of the Federal government, a smack-down of Barack Obama by the U.S. Supreme Court may be inevitable. Ever since Obama assumed the office of President, critics have hammered him on a number of Constitutional issues. Critics have complained that much, if not all of Obama's major initiatives run headlong into Constitutional roadblocks on the power of the federal government. Obama certainly did not help himself in the eyes of the Court when he used the venue of the State of the Union address early in the year to publicly flog the Court over its ruling that the First Amendment grants the right to various organizations to run political ads during the time of an election. The tongue-lashing clearly did not sit well with the Court, as demonstrated by Justice Sam Alito, who publicly shook his head and stated under his breath, 'That's not True,' when Obama told a flat-out lie concerning the Court's ruling. As it has turned out, this was a watershed moment in the relationship between the executive and the judicial branches of the federal government. Obama publicly declared war on the court, even as he blatantly continued to propose legislation that flies in the face of every known constitutional principle upon which this nation has stood for over 200 years. Obama has even identified Chief Justice John Roberts as his number one enemy, that is, apart from Fox News and Rush Limbaugh, Beck, Hannity, and so on. And it is no accident that the one swing-vote on the court, Justice Anthony Kennedy, stated recently that he has no intention of retiring until 'Obama is gone.' Apparently, the Court has had enough. The Roberts Court has signaled, In a very subtle manner, of course, that it intends to address the issues about which Obama critics have been screaming to high heaven. A ruling against Obama on any one of these important issues could potentially cripple the Administration. Such a thing would be long overdue. First, there is ObamaCare, which violates the constitutional principle barring the federal government from forcing citizens to purchase something. And no, this is not the same thing as States requiring drivers to purchase car insurance, as some of the intellectually-impaired claim. The Constitution limits the FEDERAL Government, not state governments, from such things, and further, not everyone has to drive, and thus, a citizen could opt not to purchase car insurance by simply deciding not to drive a vehicle. In the ObamaCare world, however, no citizen can 'opt out.' Second, sources state that the Roberts court has quietly accepted information concerning discrepancies in Obama's history that raise serious questions about his eligibility for the office of President. The charge goes far beyond the birth certificate issue. This information involves possible fraudulent use of a Social Security number in Connecticut , while Obama was a high school student in Hawaii. And that is only the tip of the iceberg. Third, several cases involving possible criminal activity, conflicts of interest, and pay-for-play cronyism could potentially land many Administration officials, if not Obama himself, in hot water with the Court. Frankly, in the years this writer has observed politics, nothing comes close to comparing with the rampant corruption of this Administration, not even during the Nixon years. Nixon and The Watergate conspirators look like choirboys compared to the jokers that populate this Administration. In addition, the Court will eventually be forced to rule on the dreadful decision of the Obama DOJ suing the state of Arizona . That, too, could send the Obama doctrine of open borders to an early grave, given that the Administration refuses to enforce federal law on illegal aliens. And finally, the biggie that could potentially send the entire house of cards tumbling in a free-fall is the latest revelation concerning the Obama-Holder Department of Justice and its refusal to pursue the New Black Panther Party. The group was caught on tape committing felonies by attempting to intimidate Caucasian voters into staying away from the polls. A whistle-blower who resigned from the DOJ is now charging Holder with the deliberate refusal to pursue cases against Blacks, particularly those who are involved in radical hate-groups, such as the New Black Panthers, who have been caught on tape calling for the murder of white people and their babies. This one is a biggie that could send the entire Administration crumbling--that is, if the Justices have the guts to draw a line in the sand at the Constitution and the Bill of Rights.

This reads like a compendium of fringers' pet urban myths which they relentlessly cultivate in an effort to avoid facing the realities of their leadership and party platform crises and attendant bleak outlook for the upcoming election.

"The Roberts Court?" Wow. I thought the GOP/TPs detested judicial activism. As the Mittster tries to defy the laws of nature and pivot back toward the center after running the SEVEREST conservative primary campaign of all time, I expect we will see a bunch more of these GOP flip-flops and reversals: Such as being for extending low-interest rates on student loans before they were against it when they advanced a budget plan that would have allowed those interest rates to double and cut Pell grant funding to the bone....or suddenly supporting the VAWA renewal (at least their own truncated version of it) after trying to kill it while it was still in committee, by voting against even bringing it to the floor as recently as March 13, 2012....the first time since the bill's inception that it was not supported by a bipartisan majority.

It seems overly optimistic, if not a bit confused, for the GOP to think they can rely on voters' collective anmesia when it comes to recalling their past record on these current campaign issues, AS IF we weren't paying attention every step of the way.

80% of all Americans including GOP oppose - Citizens United

[ In Reply To ..]
which means that, instead of telling a “flat-out lie,” President Obama spoke for an overwhelming bipartisan majority during the 2010 State of the Union speech, and that Justice Alito is too personally vested in the despised decision to distinguish fact from fiction. In Feb 2012 85% of dems, 81% independents and 76% republicans were opposed to the decision in an ABC/WaPo poll, figures that crossed all demographics within both parties. There is no margin of error wide enough to reverse the obvious disdain Americans have for this judicial highjack of democratic process.

The chest beating in this rant is way premature, considering the court has not ruled on any of the challenges mentioned, dontcha think? Chickens counted before they hatch have a way of coming back and biting one’s backside. I know it’s probably beyond the comprehension of those who “like” this puff of smoke, but let’s get real here.

If SCOTUS “rules against Obama” (where in the Constitution does the SC have the power to rule against a president, instead of laws passed through the US Congress?), it would not cripple his administration. SCOTUS will be required to justify its decision based on its constitutional merits, not partisan whims. If there is the slightest suggestion of judicial activism, more than likely, the response from voters would be quite contrary to desired outcomes expressed in this virus….errr, I mean article. I can’t think of anything that would galvanize democratic voters faster than striking down HCR or giving free reign to states to institutionalize racial profiling.

The birther-on-steroids veiled threats and tip-of-the-iceberg innuendoes are just as pathological as the now much ridiculed BC movement. Misuse of a SS# by Hawaiian high-schooler Obama? Unnamed pay-for-play administration cronies? False ICE enforcement and open borders accusations that fly in the face of well documented deportation statistics? A stale Fox-manufactured NBP party fake scandal….that’s your “biggie”? Seriously? OMG, is that what you are pinning your hopes on to defeat President Obama in the fall?

As long as you guys are determined not to "realize the importance" of presenting viable plans for jobs, the economy and education (the top 3 concerns of US voters)....plans that you can actually SELL to the majority of voters....the above follies are just as good as any you can choose to further distract yourself from your party's insurmountable shortcomings. Don't let making utter fools of yourselves deter your mission.

Gramps TroubleFeb 16, 2011
So just a few months ago, my grandma passed away and it was very sudden. My grandparents were married for 67 years and she predeceased gramps. My grandpa was never the kind of man to "take care" of himself, meaning grams always did the cooking and cleaning , took care of the kids and so on, she was a good wife. Now that she has passed, dealing with gramps has become a real issue. I"m sure he is very lonely after having been with someone that long and suddenly without. But he is already contempla ...

Why We're In Trouble In This Country.Aug 25, 2015
We're in trouble because democracy absolutely depends on an electorate that is sufficiently well educated to be able to assess the claims of candidates, to reject the falsehoods and misinformation that political campaigns, their supporters and the press spew into the atmosphere, darkening the sky in an effort to hide the truth from the light of day, and having the ability and the intellectual honesty to objectively judge the character of those who aspire to political office. Democracy is f ...
