Sarah Palin, former vice-presidential candidate, filed a defamation lawsuit against The New York Times Company on Tuesday, saying the newspaper had published a statement about her in a recent editorial that it “knew to be false.”

There was NO EXCUSE for this editorial, none. It most definitely shows recklessness for the truth and/or true malice.

My guess is they will settle with Palin. She should give it to O’Keefe’s Project Veritas. Or even better make the Times write the check to him directly.

The NYT knew exactly what it was doing, make the assertion, then issue a half-hearted “correction” on page 46 knowing darn well that only the assertion will be remembered.

besides anybody who lets their rich oil buddies sit in warm helicopters and chase down wolves to exhaustion and then shoot them and turns around and calls it "hunting" probably does get confused about where Lyme disease comes from.
