Anyone else think Palin looks all bloated in her most recent contribution to Fox News?

Who cares what she looks like. Not a political topic - how about

Besides my DH told me she (the daughter) looks so bloated (won't say here what he said she looked like), but if it's the daughter (who is not a politician) and the discussion has nothing to do with politics there might be a better discussion of how ugly and bloated people look on the gab board.

More difficult for women in politics and television - than for men.
[ In Reply To ..]I do think it is unfortunate that women are criticized for their looks in the work force. It has been hard enough to break through the "glass ceiling." Palin is approaching the age where it becomes increasingly difficult to "look good" every day. It was terribly unfair for the press and just about everyone else to discuss Hillary's thighs and Chelsea's awkward stage during her teen years. I think when you choose to be a paid television personality, there may be a bit more slack on discussing "looks," but obviously MOST of the women "news" commentators are much better looking than their male counterparts. It is more unusual for men to be required to look good as well as be good at their jobs to advance in their careers. That being said, women who use their looks and lack substance are going to subject themselves to more criticism.
