So, I'm reading this article...sm

Posted: Aug 12, 2012

about how the Romney campaign kept secret who was going to be VP. A lot of the content is information from Beth Myers, head of the vetting process for Romney. And then I come across this line:

"Included in the data collected by Myers and her team: congressional voting records, an exhaustive questionnaire and "several years" of tax returns -- she did not say how many. "

Why would Romney, of all people, need "several years" of tax returns from his VP?

to expect as much from the prospective president of the United States? What's up with that?

From what I have gathered, R will be submitting one more year. (sm) - That's good enough.

[ In Reply To ..]
Different topic, yet in the same vein, is it too much to expect the POTUS to submit a birth certificate that is not computer generated?
Funny you should ask (sm) - Nonny
[ In Reply To ..]
If I'm not mistaken, most submit 2 years, more is not necessary, nor is it required. Methinks Obama submitted multiples to deflect from the fraudulent birth certificate issue, but hey, maybe that's just me (and several million others). LOL
Great point Nonny - Think you are right

You can always tell when Commie Obammi is trying to hide something: First Obama's lips move, then he throws out some fake, bogus war created by Obama and his "ilk" to divert attention, i.e.

War on Women
War on Rich
Class Warfare
War on Poor
War on Health

Notice how ALL of Commie Obammies rhetoric engages in "war". Obama needs to go and it's 3-1/2 years too late.
I agree, and in a previous post he was called "inclusive." LOL - Aunt Sue

You are mistaken. Mr and Mrs Romney Sr - released 12 years
[ In Reply To ..]
George Romney: "One year could be a fluke, perhaps done for show, and what mattered in personal finance was how a man conducted himself OVER THE LONG HAUL. Obviously, junior is not his dad, who evidently did not feel he had nothing to hide.

The FDR library has 25 returns on record. Obama has released 12 to date, dating back to 2000. Biden 14, back to 1998.

Something about Romney I think is pertinent. The 1-1/2 years of returns he's revealed apply to a span of time when he was living off his investments and was a perennial candidate....not exactly the same thing as, for example, the returns that were filed when he was governor, which in a POLITICAL contest really do matter. He launched his campaign based on his "business expertise" at Bain. THAT is one very good reason the returns for those years are pertinent...just like daddy said. Without them, the ones we have thus far are meaningless.
Maybe for you one more year...sm - JTBB
[ In Reply To ..]
is enough. For me, in particular since he's running on his "business experience," I'd like more than that. Quite a bit more actually.

Obama has provided his birth certificate, as well as the long form. I would venture to say the "birthers" wouldn't be happy if their god came down and hand delivered it. Not that this actually has anything to do with the OP, of course. But while we're here, do we have Romney's birth certificate?
I don't know. If you're that interested, perhaps you could find out and let us know. - Aunt Sue

Yep, looks like Mittens was born here, but his dad, on the other hand, was just a tad south of the border.

Does this mean if Romney gets elected we should expect special funding to go to Mexican drug lords or will tacos become the national food? LOLOL.

Now that's how ***.
That was silly. Hope you didn't spend a lot of time on it. LOL - Aunt Sue

What point? That Romney was born here and we're not for sure about Obama? (sm) - Aunt Sue

Yeah, I got it.
Glad to see you stand up, Aunt Sue - The OP

Seems to think the more condescending and insulting the post, it makes the point. Fact is, those of us with a brain not tied directly into Debbie Wasserman-Schultz mother board at the DNC, can think for ourselves and know a stinking mess when we see it - AKA Obama.
He really is, isn't he. BTW, speaking of DWS, did you (sm) - Aunt Sue

DWS is just stupid. Did you ever notice when NP is talking, her hands fly wildly about? Anyway, thanks for the laugh.
DWS mother board! I love it :) - Zville MT
[ In Reply To ..]
That's a pretty accurate description, too. If you can stand it long enough to listen to her in an interview, she never really answers the questions (I know that's typical of most politicians), but she always seems to have some sort of stock answer and if the interviewer tries to get her away from that, they can't - she just keeps repeating the same things over and over. It's like there's a DNC list of talking points that she's memorized and doesn't have anything else to say.
Thanks Z - Conservative
[ In Reply To ..]
That was mine. DWS reminds me of the "Flobot" for Progressive Car Insurance ads. I wish someone would pull her mother board...LOL. Without a doubt, her and Pelosi are two of the strangest I have ever seen. With all the Pinocchios they get, it is a wonder we have any trees left.

about the tax returns. OP NEVER mentions all the documents Obama has hidden, lied about, etc. Seems OP only interested in dominating the board with ***.

Now where did I put the charcoal and 5-spice for Fido's special party? Hmmmmm, must be right next to my fake birth certificate(s) and college transcripts, and travel scheule to radical Muslim countries

Or maybe with my Obama Family Fund held in the Caman Islands, along with my payoffs from Rezcko. Or maybe it's with my sign in sheets for the Communist conventions Obama attended.

Very good, very good. I was beginning to think I was alone here. (sm) - Aunt Sue

I for one would love to see the college writings. Not so much concerned with his grades as his beliefs, though I'm pretty sure we know what they are - Marxism 101. I especially like Chicago slumlord Valerie Jarrett being such a good friend and advisor to the Obamas. She even eats dinner with them most nights. Like my mama always told me, be careful who you associate with.

I've Been Reading Up On The Flat TaxApr 14, 2011
Flat tax won't work. If they would institute a flat tax, they would close loopholes we all take at tax time. This is why Malcolm Forbes running for President was all for the flat tax. " Following the 1986 tax reform, the average income tax paid by somebody in the $50,000-$75,000 bracket indeed went down, and I mean way down--$1,100. The total tax take for that bracket went up $7.6 billion because there were many more taxpayers in that range in 1987. Fact is, taxes for virtually all tax bra ...

Yet Another Thread About Reading :-)Mar 18, 2012
Obviously a lot of us love to read!   My question for everyone is do you keep a list of the books you have read?   I started doing this about 2 years ago because one of my kids came home from school saying that in class that day the teacher was talking about reading and said that she had heard a statistic that the average person reads 300 books in their lifetime.  Knowing me, my son heartily disagreed with that statement and said I probably read 300 books each year.   T ...
