it will be 8 years of a few competent people in the administration trying to cover Trump's mistakes. This phone call with Taiwan may not seem like a big deal to you but it came about because Trump is ignorant of diplomacy and foreign policy and has waived intelligence briefings because he thinks he knows everything.

China wants us to follow their rules, no one else. What's wreong with taking a congratulatory call from another country? NOTHING!

IS it okay for China to "expand" their country through false islands? I don't think so. It expands their international sea miles and not a single country in that area of the world would be able to boat/fish in those areas unless given approval by China. That's unfair. They need to stop this but the U.N. is so weak and full of countries that hate the U.S. that nothing will be done.

My point was not to approve of or criticize diplomatic protocol with China. It was about Trump. He presumably took the call because he is unfamiliar with the protocol and doesn't show any indication that he wants to learn. He has also foregone intelligence briefings and well as admitting that he doesn't read because he doesn't have time. Those of us who feel that he is dangerous feel this way precisely because of this type of behavior.

Tonight I just finished watching "My Life As a Turkey" on Public Broadcasting. Anyone who loves animals and nature would love this. It is about a man who found and incubated wild turkey eggs, raised them and lived with them in the forrest for 1 1/2 years.
