Want to give a shout out to a wonderful movie

Real people and some animation. The Disney movie company just keeps churning out wonderful movies. I went to the show because I love bling of any kind, loved the color of Cate Blanchett's hair (really gold) and was totally amazed by the movie and loved it. I consider it more of a chick show, my friend and her daughter went with me and we all loved it. Check it out for a really good show for kids as well as adults. ;

My daughter took her 4 year old twins who are huge Frozen fans, and they all hated Cinderella.. Maybe the girls are just not old enough...

Maybe the twins are only into the cartoon - type show and this was not

That said, a 17, 30+ and 60+ loved on this end. You can't win them all.

I am not sure that I will be paying to see it in the theater, but the pics I have seen of the set are stunning (love the baroque style) there is finally a prince that I find rather good looking. I will say that I am a bit disappointed in Cinderella's dress, especially when one sees the wonderful way they dressed Cate Blanchett. I generally am not fond of the princess stuff but this one I do hope to actually see.

I went to the movies today, a new one that just came out about an overweight teenager from Harlem who was sexually abused by her father and mentally and physically abused by her mother. This movie was rated an R. Several years back it would have not had that lax of a rating. Kids! You start on a vacation and no more than 10 miles and they are asking when are we going to be there? I would like some ideas for my friends, nothing sexy, no bad language. I can hardly believe my granddaughter will be turning five next month. My daughter asked me what foods would be a good idea. Tonight I just finished watching "My Life As a Turkey" on Public Broadcasting. Anyone who loves animals and nature would love this. It is about a man who found and incubated wild turkey eggs, raised them and lived with them in the forrest for 1 1/2 years. Spinoff of a thread in Politics. Does anyone read Dean Koontz? I *loved* him in the 80s, and even though he's become kind of formulaic, I still have a soft spot for him. I especially love the Odd Thomas series and I'm stoked about the upcoming movie. The casting is kind of (forgive me) odd, (Patton Oswalt as Big Ozzie? mmmkay) but I'm still shamelessly looking forward to it. I'd love to have seen James McAvoy as Odd, but I guess he's too old. ...
