I read that Romney/Ryan will not give the details...

Posted: Aug 15, 2012

...after the election??  If this is true, who on earth would vote that blindly for a Romney administration?

Please tell me this is not true, and where can I read all the features of the tax plan that Romney would like to institute?  Thanks in advance!

You are correct....that's what they said...sm - JTBB

I would probably just look up Ryan's plan as that seems to be who is going to be in charge...lol. They also have a Medicare issue. We know Ryan's plan, but Romney says he has his own plan that is the same....but different. No details on that either.

Refresher: "enough digits to hold a pen"

I've pulled up links that talk about their tax plans - and then.....

[ In Reply To ..]
there are liberal sites saying he won't give details, so know I can't trust those sites. Just kept searching and did find more links. Just Google it. If you want answers you will find them.

Even if it's true (which Im not saying it is), but even if it was true I would still vote for them. It's not voting blind. I have enough faith/trust in Romney and Ryan that their decisions will be the best for the country. We know O&B's plans are not and has been disastrous for the past three years. No budget and higher taxes on the middle income. NO THANKS!

I like Ryan. He's done good things while in politics. I've agree with him on past issues and Romney too. That is why I and half the country (possibly more) will be voting for him. Not going to be fooled by the lies again.

Fool me once shame on you. Fool me twice.

Go Romney/Ryan 2012. - yeah baby.

community agitator, who never so much as ran a lemonade stand, or had a real job, and look at the mess we're in now. Biden speaks for himself - or tries, anyway. LOL I have faith in R&R that they will do what is best for the country. I trust them. Don't trust the community agitator as far as I could throw his skinny little arse. No thanks.

and you - believe

Romney is not lying too? They all lie during campaigning. You may believe in the republican way more than the democratic way, but please don't say you believe that they are not lying also. Sometimes, though, on both sides, it is not lying, they mean well but things they want to do just can't be done. If you are not going to be fooled by the lies again, you might as well not even vote.

All I can say is - me

I am going to get the latest book, Obama's America - the header is quite catchy "You may love him or hate him but you don't know him." His goal is to downsize the power of America. Wait for 2016 to come out. It is a DOCUMENTARY about his presidency - which in my eyes has been one of the worst in history. I'll take Romney and the unknown any day before Obama taking down what's left of this country if re-elected.
2016. It's already out. There is a site that shows (sm) - LM

you by zip code how close it might be playing to your house. I'll try to find it. It is evidently very limited. I know a girl who lives 15 min from the Massachusetts border, and it is not playing anywhere within 50 miles.

Never said that anywhere in my post - and then....

[ In Reply To ..]
Please don't attribute things to me I did not say. Politicians lying... look at Obummer and company. They have been lying to us for the last three years. They also lied to us during the last campaign and I still voted for them because I thought they would be the better choice. Should I have not voted for them because they lied?

I know politicians lie. They all do. Doesn't make it right, but it's politics.

I'm still trying to figure out where in my post I said I believe Romney or Ryan is not lying too. I've read my post a few times now just to make sure and I didn't say that anywhere in my post, so don't know where you read it. Maybe you are replying to the wrong poster.

What I did say, and I'll write it again to make sure I said it right. Even if they don't give the details of the tax plan I would still vote for them. It's not voting blind. I happen to trust Romney and Ryan that their decisions are better for the country than what is in their now. I know their decisions are better for the country because of facts that have happened in the past. We have lived through a 3-year O&B term. We know for a fact what they are for/against. I know Ronney's record and I also know what Ryan has done in his career in politics. His voting record, his speeches, his rebuttals, what he has done in office to make things better. That is what I will base my vote on. Not whether or not a politician lies.

Nobody should be telling anyone whether or not they should vote. That is not yours or anyone elses decision. Every citizen of this country has the right to vote. Even the girls who think they are going to get some of Obama's "stash". Even the ones who think McCain/Palin's plans were Obama's and they thought they were good plans. Everyone. It is an elistist attitude for anyone to say that if people believe this or that they "might as well not even vote". Please don't say you are for voter suppression.

Go Romney/Ryan - 2012

Romney did put out a 59-point plan and was immediately villified by Obama and his attack dogs. If you go to the Romney website, there are lists of what Romney and wants to do and how. Obama has never put out any plan, budget or solution to any of the problems that we have. Obama has dismissed a lot of what has been suggested by his own financial advisors. It makes no sense to make someone part of your administration if you have no intention of listening to or discussing their ideas.

Well, here's what I found... - (see message)

[ In Reply To ..]
...when I googled "details romney tax plan," there were a lot of not-so-flattering links that popped up, so I went straight to Romney's own website. When I clicked on "Tax Policy," this is all it showed:
TAX POLICY
INDIVIDUAL TAXES
• Maintain marginal rates at current levels • Further reduce taxes on savings and investment • Eliminate the death tax • Long-term goal: pursue a flatter, fairer, simpler structure
CORPORATE TAXES
• Lower the corporate income tax rate to 25 percent • Transition to a “territorial” tax system

They only show sIx very vague bullet points. As a struggling member of the middle class, I want to know what effect his tax plan will have on my bottom line. I don't trust that these plans won't affect many of us adversely.

Just like Obama, even if he does want to implement a lot of different things, he will find that it's not as easy as just WANTING to put things in place after you get there. Honestly, I'm not sure how ANY presidential candidate's promises can really be counted on any more, since they can only do so much without the cooperation of Congress and the elimination of the opposition's being able to tack on bill-killing extras.

Romney/Ryan May Regret Fudging All The Details Of Their Plans.Sep 07, 2012
President Clinton alone gave enough numbers and specifics to provide quotes for almost any discussion that comes up. Obviously there was more than just his famous verbosity behind his hitting every single point of the GOP promises and every single point of the Dems' during his long speech. My big question is, when Governor Romney says he'll provide "lots of jobs," is he just keeping it and the rest of his plan simple for the unenquiring mind, or is he that determined not to reveal wha ...
