Anyone notice we're all talking more about Ryan than Romney?

Posted: Aug 17, 2012

Romney's pick of Ryan has certainly accomplished what I can only presume was one of his goals in announcing the pick before the convention....get the heat off talking about tax returns, for one thing.  Sealed

Better than Palin, but then again who isn't? - anon

I am a dem and I don't love Romney or Ryan, but this time I am not terrified of either one of them, unlike Palin -- her sheer stupidity was frightening.

Anyway, I honestly do not care who wins this time. It just doesn't matter, they are all just looking out for the wealthy in this country.

Yikes!

Ryan speaks great WITHOUT a prompter. - Maybe he could teach Obama how also. nm

his best friend TOTUS. That's when he usually says how he really feels, and the mask slips a little more. That's why he's only had 1 press conference all year, even though he promised once a month. Another promise down the YKW hole. The difference here is PR knows of what he speaks, whereas Obama, well.......
True True True ! Whenever O speaks without - it, the gaffes come in,, or how he REALLY feels.

Obama and Biden. Those are two who are not - for starters

I find it amusing, but on the brink of annoying that people who have absolutely no knowlege about her have the audacity to call her "stupid".

I'm glad you are not "terrified", however, since living under this regime over half the country IS terrified that this could continue on another 4 years (Lord help us).

What really frightens me is his communist viewpoints and his sheer stupidity to think that the people of the country are stupid.  Guess they are when they voted for him.

I think JFK was actually the last president who looked out for all people in the country.  Since then all politicians care about is themselves.  As Pee-lousy told a new coming member of congress one time "If you weren't a millionair before, you will be one now" (oh yeah, bet her tax returns don't reflect her milliions either).

As for other posters who claim she is stupid and "does not know how to read", all I say is watch out who's calling who stupid.  You don't graduate from college without knowing how to read.  Otherwise, put Obobo in that category too.  And stupid?  She was a governer of Alaska.  You do not become Governor if you are "stupid".  People should watch out who they call stupid cos it points out how true it is that it backfires on them.

NOTICE WE'RE ALLTALKING ABOUT BIDEN'S RACISM - INSTEAD OF OBAMA EATING HIS DOG- EAT FAST

Your banquet won't last long.

Now where did I put all the records I lied to the American people about...must be with Fido's dog license.

Huh? This makes no sense. - s/m

[ In Reply To ..]
Obama didn't choose to divert the focus by making Biden make a stupid gaffe; however, Romney DID make the choice of getting the Ryan pick rolled out. Besides, I haven't heard ANYONE talking about dog-eating except for extremist right-wingers, but BOTH sides are talking about Ryan and his Medicare plan. (shrug)

Haven't you noticed... - most pug posts

[ In Reply To ..]
There are as many hateful and unnecessary attacks on Romney still. It just stepped it up a notch once he announced the running mate. The hate is still there though.

There was no mission. Did you read something the rest of us hasn't that he had some mission to accomplish?

As for his tax returns WHO CARES! It's old news. He has provided exactly what is required of him, so no, I do not need to see 98 years of tax returns. Don't need to see that with any candidate.

But, no Romney is getting about the same amount of hate than he was before. Maybe you perceive that Ryan is getting more because his name was only recently made known. The lies and hate however are in full force.

Hmmm, well, SOMETHING we can agree on! - I don't need to see

[ In Reply To ..]
98 years of tax returns, either! :-D I'm only asking for more than 1 to 2. I wouldn't call Romney's tax returns old news -- there are a lot of people who are still interested in seeing them (maybe not "you," but you're not the entire electorate); the tax returns have just taken a back seat to all the Ryan talk, which I have no doubt is exactly the effect Romney was hoping for--thus, mission accomplished!

Go ahead....criticize my post; but I have as much right to my opinion as anyone else. I'm not the only one who has noticed that Ryan looks like the dominant one on the Romney/Ryan ticket, though. I guess we'll see what happens come November's vote.

Hmm we can agree we'd like to see lots of - Obama records, but Obama will continue

[ In Reply To ..]
to lie, spin about them and hide them. Why?

I never criticized your post or told you that you don't have the right to your opinion. - I do see....

[ In Reply To ..]
I gave my opinion about not needing to see 98 years worth of tax returns from any candidate. My opinion is that whatever they gave is fine. I'm sure whatever is required is what they provided. Taxes are personal. Ryan gave 2 years, Romney could give 2 years, Obama 2 years, and Biden 2 years. Nobody needs to see any more. Besides tax returns do not show all the other stuff that politicians hide in off shore accounts. If O wants to provide 98 years of returns that's his option but he has no right to tell others they need to provide a certain number. He is not in charge of that. The returners will just have to live with what is provided.

As for Romney having some kind of secret mission that none of the country knows about, well sorry, I don't have the "inside scoop" on that so I just can't make that call. Maybe it was discussed in some secret meeting that nobody knows about, to complete his mission. Maybe that was at area 51. :-) But, if people want to play that game there is plenty on the other side that could be said the same about, like how O is now talking about some music group in another country to take the focus off his failing economy, thus, mission accomplished.

But I didn't "criticize" your post. I gave my "opinion". There is a difference. Also, never once anywhere in my post said you don't have a right to your opinion. I'm sorry, thought this was a political board for all posters to post their opinion about issues. Guess I didn't understand that I was only supposed to post my opinion as long as it agreed with the poster to whom I replied.

As for the opinion that you think Ryan looks like the dominant one, I disagree with you on that. Romney has been running for awhile so of course people have heard him speak, but he only announced his running mate within the last week, so of course it would seem there is a lot focus on him. He's new to the scene. Just like when Obama announced Joe Biden or McCain announced Palin, etc. The focus is always on the new guy/girl. I think everyone notices when a new person is introduced, but not everyone thinks he is dominant.

I think Romney has picked a very good VP. Mr. Ryan has done some very good things in his political career. The decisions and ideas he has made have always been for the benefit of the middle class (me and all of my family). I think Romney & Ryan are finally going to get the country back once they are sworn in.

And that is my opinion and I have as much right to my opinion as anyone else.

Go Romney/Ryan 2012.

Sorry, I wasn't very clear there. When I said, "Go ahead; criticize my post," - I meant to go ahead and

criticize the post I was just then writing. I should have said, "Go ahead; criticize THIS post," I guess. I'd have to look back, but I don't think I had written any posts yet in that thread. I meant, in other words, "Go right ahead and slam what I'm saying here" because I was pretty sure that someone would come on and do that. :-)

I'll just leave this at what I said before: I have as much right to my opinion as you do to yours (and vice versa).
P.S. I should have said, "...I don't think I had ADDED any - posts yet in that thread." Wow,
