He truly seems like a very, very loving family man. He seemed much more humanized to me tonight than he's been before. I even thought there was a moment during his speech when he was on the verge of crying, which, to me, was genuine.

I think it hurt him that the nice video introduction was later followed by Clint Eastwood's appearance....that part will make a lot of people forget what they just watched on the video montage!

Mitt Romney has a lovely family, and I thought it was cute the way the grandkids were going after the balloons at the end.

I still don't plan to vote for him, but I don't dislike him horribly as a person.

Romney were to win, in 3+ years and if things aren't better, would the people who are blaming Obama for the way things are now be blaming Romney or wouuld they blame it on the past administration? Of course things are slowly improving now after the past administrations destruction but I am sure if things are better they will give Romney the credit. It's kind of funny how that works, isn't it?

I can't see into the future, so I don't know what they would say. But 3+ years into ANYONE's administration, they should be taking ownership of a situation.... Not pointing fingers.

see into the future but I can go by the past. Letting corporations do what they want to do and giving them tax breaks so they can create jobs does not work and Romney wants to rely on the same policies that have not worked in the past. Don't understand why anybody would want regulations lifted on corporations. Maybe you can share with me why you would want that. I realize you did not specifically say that in your post, but you seem to believe that Romney can do a better job than Obama and I'm wondering how tax breaks for corporations and lifting regulations would help us out.

People voted for Obama's "Hope and Change." It hasn't panned out as he said it would... as he promised.

I would HOPE that a Romney administration would learn from the mistakes of past administrations and not repeat them. I do know that he's a successful businessman and that Ryan is a numbers man. In our present state, I hope that can serve us well. I don't think he's the brass ring by any means, but I can see by the numbers and the current state of our country that what this administration is doing isn't working.

your opinion, I just believe the current administration is doing a better job than the Romney administration would do. I believe a Romney administration will serve big business and not the rest of us, as those type of policies have done in the past. I do not agree with everything Obama does, nor do I believe you believe everything Romney will do. I guess that is what makes us human. We all have different opinions.

He too seems to be a wonderful father and good family man.

However, I think all the negativity that has come from his campaign and the fact that the economy is barely improving turns a lot of people off.

I do not plan to vote for Obama, but I don't dislike him. I just dislike his position on many issues. It is nothing personal. ;)

I post something saying nothing but positives about Romney, and you post in kind, but you still had to put in that middle paragraph. :-( I surely can't say ALL the negativity comes from Obama campaign!

Someone would have to be living under a rock not to see the negativity that, while it might not be coming from Romney's campaign, per se, is coming from the Super PACs that support him. They've hugely outspent the PACs that support Obama--millions upon millions of dollars' worth of negativity.

I'll just leave it at this: There are a lot of voters who dislike Romney's position on many issues, too. We'll all know the outcome in November!

I've been trying to get that point across ever since Obama got elected. I have no personal grudge against the man. However, most times when I voice my opposing opinion, I get nailed by being called a racist, etc. and that I hate Obama and black people. I don't. I have no beef with the guy personally. I just don't want him as president because we differ so much in our way of thinking.

You're probably aware that there are a lot of people here who are against Obama because they think he's the "King of Kenya," a socialist, not a legal American citizen, trying to destroy America, pals around with terrorists, and a number of other reasons other than that they just differ in their way of thinking. I hate to say it, but I've known of people (not necessarily here on this board) who also don't like him simply because of the color of his skin. These are the ways of thinking that I take exception to in this election.

From my view, I see, in Obama, a loving family man who adores his children and has tried to give them a normal, well-rounded, well-educated, and well-adjusted childhood; and he happens to seem to be very much in love with his wife, too.....the same things I see in Romney.

You and I may disagree about policy and political platforms, but that's one of the things that makes this a wonderful country.....that we can disagree without fear.

Well, nothing is working on my feet, ankles and legs. They are kind of down in the morning and whether or not I put my compression hose on or not, they balloon up in about 2-3 minutes. I finally got put on Lasix 20 mg for a month and then have to call him again. I don't think it is enough to get my legs down. I can't pee much and still have diarrhea.
